Hopelessly Hopeful -
"Staring eyes wide open gazing into nothing, running in place again." Roman sang, ignoring everything around him.
"Going through the motions, in and out as the oceans, repeating." Patton sang, also oblivious to the world around him.
"Numb to the silence, to the absence of emotion, the sum of the script." Logan sang, not aware of what was around him.
"Nothing but a click in the rotation." Virgil sang, the world outside seeming of no importance.
"Sick of the peace of mind that goes along with keeping on and I can't keep on keeping on." Roman sang, grabbing Patton's hand.
"Inside it feels like I'm stuck here, suspended, at best underwhelming, what's wrong with me?" Patton sang, grabbing Logan's hand.
"My conscious is calling but the world isn't all it's cracked up to be I'm hopelessly hopeful." Logan sang, grabbing Virgil's hand.
"That I'm not stuck here suspended, in a world I pretended was right for me." Virgil sang, grabbing Roman's hand.
"Strung out on the same old, got an itch for something painful
To feel something real once, to remind myself it's not in my head." Roman sang, keeping his eyes closed.
"Sick of the calm coinciding with sticking in and with the line, can't keep on keeping on" Patton sang, peeking out of his right eye.
"It all just feels like I'm stuck here, suspended, at best underwhelming, what's wrong with me?" Logan sang, taking a deep breath and finding his centre.
"My conscious is calling but the world isn't all it's cracked up to be I'm hopelessly hopeful." Virgil sang, opening his eyes to observe the others.
"That I'm not stuck here suspended, in a world I pretended was right for me." Roman sang, opening his eyes and looking at Virgil.
"When I close my eyes When I leave the light" They all sang in unison.
"Inside it feels like I'm stuck here, suspended, at best underwhelming, what's wrong with me?" Patton sang, opening both eyes.
"My conscious is calling but the world isn't all it's cracked up to be I'm hopelessly hopeful." Logan sang, slowly sliding his eyes open and looking at Patton.
"That I'm not stuck here suspended, in a world I pretended was right for me." Virgil sang as the daggers rained down to pierce them.
Thomas's therapist had decided he would be better without his emotions so the acid rain and daggers rained from the ceiling, there was nothing they could do except die.
First a dagger went through Roman, and he smiled at them before he died and his hands went limp in Patton's and Virgil's hands.
Next was Patton as he opened his mouth to enjoy the rain before the acid suffocated him, his hands also going limp.
Logan followed suit, his choice of death to kiss Patton's poisoned lips yet as he was doing that, a dagger lodged itself in his spine Logan also going limp as he leaned against Patton.
Virgil decided to free himself and grabbed a dagger off the ground, piercing his heart and as he watched blood flow out, he also went limp and death took him
Death had taken all of them.
