I thank them for telling me because I never would have known about it otherwise. I looked up an article and people are also calling it the 'meme ban.'

Basically using youtube as an example, right now it's the creators of the music/show/etc. who decide whether to take people's content down based on a copyrighted song but the EU (European Union) plan to shift this power onto youtube itself so that it will be responsible for taking down copyrighted material.

You can see how this would affect Wattpad as if the law came into effect, they would be forced to take down any copyrighted content.

PhoenixLightning suggested spreading #protectyourcommunity on your stories and around. This won't just affect europe but the whole world. Even if it only affected europe it would still mean we lose great content creators. We need to save our community and stick together.
