Yeah, this'll be a Soulmate AU! Hence why I said I might try something new. I have never thought of doing a Soulmate AU, so here goes. This particular one, will be initials of the person's name. Might be weird, but hey. It's my story.

(Roman's POV)

An average day, an average life, in a world where you have your soulmate's initials on your wrist. Who has a name with V and B? Veronica Barel? There's just so many options, and you don't even know their gender.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here during lunch, in high school. Like usual. I decided not to sit with my friends today, since I just felt like I needed to be alone. I saw a darkly dressed boy walk into the cafeteria, headphones on. He walked in my direction, and sat down at a table next to mine. I believe he's new here.

"Hello, pardon, but are you new here?" I asked him, attempting to start off the conversation without being awkward.

(Virgil's POV)

I looked over at the guy, who was speaking loudly enough that I could hear him through my headphones and MCR music. I took one end off just a bit, and nodded. I hadn't brought lunch today since I wasn't hungry. He seemed to notice this, since he took about half of his sandwich, and handed it to me. I just shook my head and muttered a "Thanks anyway."

He retracted his hand, which was relieving. I honestly didn't want to deal with another persistent guy today. This guy, apparently the friendliest person in the school, name's Patton apparently, kept bothering me, asking if I wanted to sit with him at lunch, or be his friend. While I get why, I just got a bit tired of it. So I told him no in the kindest way possible. Which was, "No, go away." He seemed to understand at least. He didn't even seem too bothered, so that's nice.

I decided to introduce myself to the guy next to me, seeing as he seemed to be trying to find a way to talk to me. "By the way, my name's Virgil. Virgil Black."

The guy held out his hand and said, "Roman, Roman Prince." I shook his hand and then continued listening to my music. When I realized that those were the initials on my wrist. I checked it. The R and P on my wrist were now gold letters, and cursive font. It was surrounded in a red, and white aura of some sort. It looked beautiful. I glanced over at Roman, to see him checking his wrist. A V and a B. Now purple, with black surrounding it the same way.

(Roman's POV)

I glanced over at Virgil. He was looking at me. We looked up at each other, as if silently saying, 'We're soulmates.'

I smiled at him, and he gave a small smile back. "Nice to meet you, Virgil. I'm sure we'll get along well."

He gave me a simple nod, and said "I'm sure we will."

Yup. This is short too, but I'm hoping you guys like this. I'm attempting to try a few new things, but I'm not sure if it's working. Anyway, feel free to comment on any mistakes, or typos I might've missed. Maybe even details you want me to add? Considering I want you guys to be able to understand the story better. Anyways, I hope you liked it!
