He Used to Love You! {Analogical, Unrequited Prinxiety, Unrequited Logically}

This is a part three-and the final part-to 'He Will Never Be Satisfied' (which was the first part) and 'Secretly Heartbroken'

This has some fluff don't worry. Sorry about the last one shot, btw. I was letting out...certain feelings.

This is the Human!AU. They are not related in any way, expect for Virgil and Logan because they're married in this. None of them look similar, expect for only a few similar things.

Warnings: angst, mentions of heartbreak, some cursing, mention of homophobia, mentions of homophobic parents
———————————————————-

It's been a month since Virgil and Logan's Wedding.

The two just moved in together and were finally happy. Although two specific people wanted to stop it, Virgil and Logan didn't let it stop them.

They were finally together! Just the two of them! No more secrets, right?

Well, Virgil did have one thing that he kept from Logan. He didn't even talk to Patton or Roman about it, for that matter!

It all happened back on his and Logan's wedding day....

It was about ten minutes after Roman finally finished his toast. Virgil and Logan were talking to each other about stuff like the mystery of life and when they'll move in together. You know, the usual normal stuff every newlywed couple talks about.

In the middle of their conversation, Virgil noticed something out of the corner of his eye.

It looked like someone was...leaving? Or at least going to the balcony, that is. Virgil just ignored it, thinking that he was just seeing things.

Then he saw another figure following the first person. Virgil then realized that he wasn't seeing things and that there were people actually going into the balcony.

Were they ditching the party? Just needed some fresh air? Whatever it was, Virgil needed to know. It couldn't be anything bad....right?

"Virgil...I need to go...the devil and his wife are here." Logan said, urgency and seriousness in his tone. Without even getting a reply, he got up and walked over to his parents.

It wasn't like Logan was trying to be rude. His parents were, and still are, a bit...against him being into other men, that's all. So Virgil understood that he had to go. It...wasn't going to be pretty. The reason why Logan calls them "the devil and his wife" is because...well, they weren't exactly the nicest. Especially when they met Virgil back when him and Logan were dating.

So Virgil took the opportunity to see what was going on. He snuck away over to the balcony and sneakily stood near the door that was partially open, listening to every word.

"Roman? Are....are you okay?" He heard Patton softly ask. Why would Patton and Roman be out here?

Roman, well he already seemed emotional because of the crying he was doing. And the fact that this was the only other romance that he seemed to be crying at how beautiful it is besides Disney Princes and Princesses.

But Patton? That was...shocking, to say the least. Patton seemed...happy, per usual. Why would someone who's happy be outside? At night, for that matter!

"Patton? When....why....promise not to tell anyone about this?" Virgil heard Roman reply to him.

Virgil was starting to get suspicious. Tell someone about what? Was it something he didn't want anyone to know.

For the next several minutes, Virgil listened to what they were saying. He was...shocked to say the least. He did have a feeling that Patton had feelings for Logan.

But Roman? Virgil just couldn't believe his ears. Everything soon started to make sense to Virgil. From the day that they met to times where he asked Roman for advice on being more romantic.

He just couldn't believe the man that was his best friend since four years ago had been in love with him this entire time.

"Us heartbroken ones need to stick together, right?" Virgil heard Roman say to Patton. Before he quickly heard Patton say, "Yeah."

Virgil decided to go confront them about it. He took a few steps out to the balcony, and walked over to the two, who were apparently hugging and they soon stopped once they saw Virgil.

"Hey guys. What are guys doing out here?" Virgil asked, his one hand shaking but he quickly hid it in his pocket.

"Oh, uhm, greetings Virgil! I was just...getting some fresh air and Patton here decided to join me. Right, Patton?" Roman said, giving Patton a glance. Patton nodded, going along with the lie.

Virgil could easily tell they were lying, mainly because he heard what they said and because Roman is known for being a terrible liar.

"Don't worry. If you two were making out and don't want anyone to know, I can keep a secret." Virgil said, before giving a short laugh to let them know he was joking.

The other two laughed as well, but it wasn't really a...genuine one.

"Anyways, I should probably check on Logan. The devil and his wife is here and...they hopefully did not crush whatever emotions Logan has left." Virgil said, before walking back inside and went to find Logan.

Virgil did plan on talking to the two about it. He just...couldn't for some reason. Virgil planned on talking to them later during the party, but he remembered when it was too late.

Virgil still hasn't talked to the two about it, and he felt guilty. And he still hasn't told Logan about it. Virgil decided that he was gonna tell him after they finished shopping for decorations.

—-

Virgil and Logan returned from their trip and began decorating their new apparemtment.

It wasn't anything special. It wasn't crazy or flamboyant. It was simple. Simple colors, a simple style. Along with some stuff people would find either boring or emo.

Most people would find some parts boring or weird. But for them? It was perfect.

After the couple finished, Virgil, being exhausted, collapsed into the bed while Logan quietly sat next to him.

After a few minutes, Virgil spoke up.

"Aliens, Lo."

"Pardon?"

"What if we we're aliens. And we're what killed the dinosaurs."

"I...don't think that's possible, dear."

"Think about it. What if we were in the astroid. Holy shit what if there was no asteroid. What if it was a spaceship and we were on it? Oh shit, I think I'm having an existential crisis again."

Logan smiled and shook his head. This was one of the few times he actually smiled. Logan rarely smiles, and Virgil is the only one who can make him do it. It was almost like magic. Or that Logan's just that stupid with love even after they got married.

The two continued talking about the most random things, like what's in space, what would life be like if trees never existed, and whether or not big foot exists. ("He doesn't exist, Virgil. His existence has never been there. So he is merely a falsehood." Logan shoot back at him, before Virgil rolled his eyes. "Okay, I get it, lo. But please be more chill.")

Somehow, the subject soon turned to inviting Patton and Roman over for a visit. Virgil didn't even know how the topic got to...that! They were just having one of their stupid debates and then boom! Logan just brought it up!

"Maybe-just maybe-we should tell Patton and Roman about our apartment and invite them over." Logan said out of the blue.

Virgil, just now remembering that he wanted to tell Logan what he overheard a month ago, sat up and looked at Logan. "W-what? Why?"

"Well, Roman would eventually find out because he's...well because he's a nitwit and Patton would probably tell him. And Patton has probably figured it out already since, well you know why." Logan explained in his usual monotone voice.

Patton, being the "dad" friend he is, usually texted everyone in the morning to check on them in their big group chat. And in private chats. And sometimes in person. Or by calling them. So it wouldn't be weird or suspicious if he somehow figured it out and then soon telling Roman, Logan, and Virgil about it.

Virgil just sat their in silence while fiddling with his sleeves, considering on finally telling Logan. That's what he's been planning to do, right? Then why couldn't he just do it?

Logan seemed...happy, or at least Virgil thought. He was hard to read with emotions, so everything wasn't always crystal clear when it came to emotions or what he was feeling. And Virgil didn't want to ruin it, so he decided to talk to him about it later.

"Sure. Let's invite them over. I mean, since they were going to find out either way." Virgil replied with a shrug.

—Time Skip To About 7:00 pm—

Logan and Virgil were....nervous, to say the least. Well, Virgil because he has some social anxiety and just anxiety in general. And Logan because everything just needed to be perfect. He was a little bit of a...perfectionist, in some ways.

The two were cleaning and preparing some of the food, although food was being brought over, they still wanted to prepare just incase nobody brought food.

They were about to finish, until they heard a knock on the door.

"Hello? Is this Logan and Virgil's apartment?" A voice, that they immediately recognized as Patton's, said from behind the door.

"Come on in! The door is unlocked!" Virgil shouted from the "kitchen", soon making his way over to the living room. And although the door was unlocked, Virgil opened it anyways.

"Hey, kiddo!" Patton said with a smile, soon wrapping Virgil in a hug. Virgil, being someone who disliked hugs, just gave him a simple pat on the back and pulled away from the hug, soon noticing the small plate of dog shaped cookies Patton was holding.

Virgil, after Patton walked in of course, closed the door and led a curious looking Patton into the apartment's "living room." Patton quickly set down the plate of cookies on the coffee table and sat down on the small couch, Virgil sitting down next to him.

"Hey, Pat...I need to tell you some-"

"Greetings, Patton. I see you got here."
Logan said, walking into the room and sitting down next to Virgil. He, unknowingly, cut Virgil off in the middle of an important sentence.

"Hey, Logan! I see your still...you. That's always good!" Patton said to him, cheerful as usual. Virgil took note of that. He wasn't exactly sure if Patton still loved Logan.

Back when Logan and Virgil were still dating, Patton had always been a bit more cheerful than usual around the two and even when Roman was there as well. It had always seemed suspicious to Virgil until he found out that Patton had loved Logan as more than a friend.

"Indeed I am, Patton. Anyways, it appears that Roman didn't come with you or that he wasn't at least following you. Which is unusual. Do you happen to know why?" Logan questioned him.

Whenever the four friends would go out to places, Roman would usually go with Patton or just drive behind him. None of them, even Patton, knew why he did this. But none of them questioned it and just went with it.

Patton had thought it was because him and Roman lived next door to each other, which wouldn't be the case now. Roman had moved away just two weeks after Virge and Logan's wedding, but still lived in the same town. His apartment place was still by Patton's, yet far away.

Unlike Patton, Roman had talking to all of them less than usual. He was usually quite active on their little group chat, updating them all on the little things. But he was now barely on their, usually responding to messages reeeaaally late, and barely picks up the phone.

"Oh, he died yesterday. Apparently he took too much sleeping pills on accident." Patton said, looking them dead in the eyes. The room was silent for a few minutes.

"Wait, really?" Virgil said, breaking the silence. Patton shook his head 'no', and started speaking again.

"No. Actually that might be tr-"

"I AM HERE, AND I AM QUEER!!"
Roman practically yelled while kicking open the already unlocked door, very loudly interrupting Patton while he was speaking.

"Never mind! There he is!" Patton cheerfully finished, and smiled at him.

"Sorry that I couldn't get here sooner. I brought pasta, though!" Roman announced, holding up a container of pasta. Roman looked around at the other three, and he soon locked eyes with Virgil.

The two stared for a moment. Virgil wasn't exactly sure if Roman was still madly in love with him. The two stared for a couple more seconds before Roman quickly looked away.

"Anyways, where do I put this?" Roman asked Logan and Virgil. Virgil stood up and made a signal for Roman to follow him, and led him into the kitchen area, leaving Logan and Patton alone in the living room area to talk about life and...other stuff.

Once they reached the kitchen, Virgil was...tempted to ask about what really happened. And confront him about the feelings. But he decided that now is not the time.

"Nice place so far. But it's lacking...bright and looks a little dull. Like if a school and a Hot Topic mixed together. Maybe it would be better if it was brighter and had more bright colors so it wouldn't look so dull and emo. So it's a seven out of ten, at best." Roman commented, setting down the contaner.

"I didn't ask for your commentary, Princey.." Virgil mumbled, but still loud enough to be heard. He looked at Roman, who had a certain look in his eyes that whenever he had it...nobody honestly knew what was going to come next.

"I didn't mean it. I was just...giving a little suggestion, that's all." Roman said with a shrug. Virgil took a few steps closer, his fists starting to get...a bit shaky even though they were clenched into a fist.

"Well I didn't ask for your advice. Nobody did, Roman!" Virgil exclaimed, his voice soon starting to get louder than before.

"Virgil calm down, it was just a mere sugge-"

"Roman, can you please shut up for once!" Virgil interrupted, almost to the point of yelling. He was...pissed to say the least. Virgil was fine with himself being insulted, along with stuff that he either created or did. But insulting something that both him and Logan did? That sent Virgil over the edge.

"Good luck, Princey! There's not a prince that can save you now!" Virgil said, taking a few steps even closer to Roman.

Roman opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Words failed him at this situation. He messed up and he knew it. Roman knew he should have kept his mouth shut like the idiot prince he was. So he shut his mouth, letting the man who was pretty much his best friend pretty much yell at him.

With his hand shaking more than ever, Virgil brought up his hand and stuck out his pointer finger and started to poke him in the chest, after realizing how close the two physically were.

"This."

Poke.

"Was."

Poke.

"Too."

Poke.

"Fa-"

Kiss.

Neither of the two knew how it happened. It just did.

They were just arguing, and they just had happened to had accidentally-

"Roman Prince. Get you lips off of my husband. Now." A angered voice, soon recognized as Logan, said behind them.

Roman, out of shock, turned around, pulling out of the kiss in the process. He saw an angered Logan and a shocked Patton. At this point, he knew that he messed up, he really did. He made a HUGE mistake.

It wasn't really Roman's fault that the two kissed. It was a mistake on both Virgil and Roman's part. Roman was just going to open his mouth to speak and then suddenly felt another pair of lips on his.

Virgil, on the other hand, was in the middle of speaking and was interrupted by another pair of lips on his own. Neither of the two had any idea how the heck it happened. It just did.

Vigil slowly backed away as Logan was slowly approaching Roman. None of them have seen Logan this mad.

"Logan, look I'm sor-"

Roman was cut off with a smack in the face. The other two looked in horror and shock. They were...overall just shocked and confused, even a little scared.

A/N: WOAH WOAH WOAH. Even without the 'A/N' at the beginning and this one at the end it's really long. Sorry. If there are any other trigger warnings needed, please inform me in the comments.

Is it bad that I kinda wanted to write a book based on this? Idk why I even thought that it was a stupid idea anyways.

Sorry for all the angst lately. It's a good way to let out certain emotions and feelings. For me, at least.

Oh! And, don't worry, I'm working on someone's request and it has Logically, some Prinxiety, and fluff. So it'll be all good. 😃

Oh, and I almost put this in the story while I was writing:

Yeeeaaah, I'm glad I didn't stick with that.

Love (platonically),

Taylor Jamie 💕
