Warnings : Sympathetic Remus, Unsympathetic Virgil, Critical Virgil(am I using that right?)
----------------------------
"Why do you date him?"
Logan looked up from the book he had been given, his fond smile fading into a frown and he tilted his head, a small glare settling onto his face. The question was phrased as if it was a bad thing he was dating Remus. That didn't make sense to Logan.
"Like, is it out of pity?"
A deep breath as Logan's fingers tightened around the book that Remus had worked so hard on for Logan. A murder mystery, if Logan had to guess based on Remus' previous works.
"Virgil!" Patton scolded, shooting Virgil a warning look.
"What? I genuinely want to know!" Virgil exclaimed, crossing his legs on the couch. "Why in the world would Logan ever be interested in someone like Remus? Remus is not only the exact opposite of Logan, but- he's dangerous! You saw what he did to Roman!"
Logan's jaw clenched as his glare grew stronger, and he could feel the edges of the book's cover digging into his palms. Patton bit his lip, looking between Logan and Virgil, shrinking back from both of their strong feelings, negative feelings, praticially radiating off them. Though only Logan saw the small bit of black and green retreating to the rooms around the corner.
"Virgil, you really shouldn't be asking those types of questions," Patton warned, tugging on his onesie paws nervously. "They're not nice."
Virgil met Logan's gaze- saw the intensity of Logan's glare, and he shrunk back slightly. "No, Patton, let Virgil continue. I'm sure he's missed something. And I would very much like even more reason to slap him with my book."
Virgil's eyes widened, his eyes flicking to check the size of the book. With enough strength- which everyone knew Logan possessed- it could certainly cause harm. Virgil took a deep breath through his teeth, giving in and saying no more.
Logan, still fuming, sunk out to go to his room.
He didn't dare throw the book in his hands- though he very much wanted to throw something. But that wouldn't help much, he knew that.
Logan took a deep breath, forcing his hold on the book to loosen, and he placed it onto his desk, ready for whenever he chose to start reading it.
Arms wrapped around him from behind, a face burrowing into his back. Logan heard a sniffle as the arms tightened, and Logan began to gently rub Remus' arms, as if to comfort him.
"I'm sorry you heard all that, Dearest." Logan mumbled as he turned around, pulling Remus to his chest. Logan pressed a kiss to the top of his head. Remus hiccupped slightly, trying and failing to form words as more tears slipped down his cheeks, ruining his makeup.
Logan slowly rubbed circles along Remus' back, placing feather-light kisses to Remus' head. "I love you, no matter what the others, especially Virgil, may think." Logan murmured, and Remus' arms tightened.
"Why do you love me?" He croaked out.
Logan hummed lightly, thinking for only a moment. He tilted Remus' head up.
"I love you for many reasons. You're energetic but know boundaries despite what people may think, you take risks. You're passionate, and aren't afraid to give it your all." As Logan spoke, he began to wipe away Remus' tears, making sure to keep eye contact with the usually rambunctious side.
"You're fun to have debates with because of your odd ideas. You're adorable whenever you want to cuddle with anyone, and your stubborn about getting those cuddles." Logan placed a soft kiss to his forehead. "I love how every morning you wake me up with soft and tender kisses, that are just for us, and I love how you make me feel protected with each hug. But most importantly, you're a great kisser."
Logan took a deep breath, laughing lightly. Remus' cheeks were dusted red, and he laughed quietly, burying his face back into Logan's chest. Their laughs died out after a short while, and Logan pushed Remus away slightly, just so he could lean down and press a long and comforting kiss to Remus' lips.
"But most importantly, you're you. And that's why I love you. Because you're just Remus, and I think you're absolutely fascinating."
Remus' cheeks were a much darker red now, but his tears had stopped. Now all that was left were dried tear tracks and Remus' smeared makeup. Logan pressed a shorter kiss to his lips.
"How about we watch some documentaries about criminals or murderers or something and cuddle?" Logan inquired, hands resting gently on Remus' hips. Remus laughed, pecking his cheek.
"You know me so well, let me fix my makeup real quick."
