Two for Dramatics - Roceit -
Deceit was short. For some reason, he was much shorter than literally all the sides. The others would tease him about his height- usually earning them a strong punch to the stomach or kick to their ankles- but Roman loved to tease him the most about it.
He was the only one that could get away with it, too. Deceit had only ever threatened to kick him to the ground.
Roman wasn't as tall as some of the other's either. Nowhere near Deceit's height, but he still felt better knowing there was another short side in the household. And maybe Deceit refused to ever actually hurt Roman. He knew he'd beat himself over it if he ever did hurt Roman.
The two were talking by the stairs, Roman leaning against the railing from the bottom step and Deceit a few steps higher.
Roman's breath hitched as Deceit's ramblings about his latest favorite show went in one ear and out the other. He stared up at Deceit, taking in his boyfriend's soft jawline, the scar that ran across his cheek. He watched how Deceit spoke with his hands, the bright yellow gloves drawing any and all attention to his hands.
Roman's cheeks dusted pink as he took in Deceit from a different angle; he could see where some scale patches ended from here and he could see the way Deceit's hair was lighter underneath the top layer of brown. He let out a soft sigh, and it felt as if he was falling all over for the dishonest side.
Deceit fell quiet as he realized Roman seemed dazed, staring almost blankly past Deceit and to the wall. He cleared his throat, regaining Roman's attention. "You okay?"
Roman grinned, moving up just one more step to make it easier for what he was about to request.
"I've just come to see another angle that you look absolutely amazing at, and I needed to just let the realization sink in."
Deceit's cheeks flared red as he glanced away, and Roman didn't miss the faint smile on his face. Roman's grin widened and he stepped onto his toes, grabbing for Deceit's collar and pulling gently for Deceit to lean down.
The side squeaked- squeaked!- as Roman pulled him into a kiss, and oh gods Deceit wasn't used to being the taller one. He hummed lightly into the kiss, eyes fluttering closed.
It was all too soon that Roman pulled away, smirking up at his boyfriend's dazed look. Deceit finally came to his senses and his face flushed darker, rolling his eyes at Roman, fond smile betraying his look of exasperation.
They leaned in again.
