Warnings : Sympathetic Deceit
-
Deceit woke up quickly, breathing heavily. The heavy sheets he had been curled up in were now around his waist as the silver-tongued side clung to himself. His gaze raced around the room, lingering on the shadows that looked far too much like monsters of the night.
He barely noticed the tears slipping from his eyes. They were an endless stream, and he let out a choked sob, covering his mouth with a shaking hand. He couldn't remember everything that happened. Just very, very vague details. But, he remembered it was a vivid dream. And if it left him like this, he could barely imagine what Thomas, and the other sides had dreamt.
Swallowing down another sob, Deceit climbed out of bed. He made sure his light was on to its brightest, clearing away almost all shadows. Grabbing his blanket and wrapping it around himself, Deceit left his room on trembling legs, heading directly to the creative side's room.
It was a magnificent room usually. The door a pearly white with bright, regal red lettering of some inspirational quote trailing down. The handle was a beautiful gold as well, and in the morning, usually reflected the sunlight all throughout the mindscape.
Deceit didn't have time to admire it though. Not right now.
He burst through the door, although it was already quite loose. Someone had clearly made it there before he had.
And sure enough, two sides and one function sat on Roman's bed, cuddled close. Remy barely glanced up before holding a hand out, and Deceit took it. He was pulled into the embrace, curling into Virgil's chest. Remy held Virgil, Deceit, and Roman all protectively, trying to comfort the fearful sides.
And it wasn't long until Logan and Patton joined them, their own eyes puffy and glasses askew. Remy had pulled them into the cuddle pile as well, and they took up the entirety of Roman's grand bed. The family clung to each other desperately, but one thing never changed; Remy held them all in some way or another. Virgil and Deceit lying between his legs and against his chest, an arm wrapped around Roman tightly, his arm looping around Patton's waist as he cried into Logan's shoulder, and Logan's hand, knuckles white from his tight grip.
After awhile, once the other's had calmed down, Remy snapped his fingers with his free hand. A giant television appeared. "Well, since we're all up, how about some Disney movies to get y'all back to sleep?"
Remy's voice was quiet, and he received no objections. They all shuffled closer as Remy conjured a remote, and pressed play, allowing the marathon to begin.
