Logan rubbed his eyes, stifling a yawn as he was tugged out of his room. The hall lights had been dimmed but not fully turned off, allowing those within the mindscape to still see without harming their eyes. He followed an excited Remus towards an area of the mindscape Logan only visited on occassion.
"Remus... what are we doing?" Logan finally asked, voice a whisper.
Remus continued to bounce as he walked, almost skipping, and he turned to grin at Logan. "Somewhere only we know, of course!"
"You don't mean..." Remus nodded, stopping in front of a door that only Remus and Logan could summon. A place created for them only, hidden away from the judging eyes of the others.
Logan returned Remus' smile, walking inside with the creative trait. The door closed softly behind them, and they were left in a forest clearing. Within the area were ruins, Remus' idea that Logan didn't oppose. While Remus gave it a horrifying history, Logan brought that history to life by sharing things that could make it far more realistic than Remus could gave ever imagined.
But after its initial creation, the ruins turned into a place where the two could relax without fear of being interrupted, just be themselves.
Remus released Logan's hand and dashed towards the old building, once a library that was burned to the ground because of the types of books it had contained. Books about all the murders within the past years, detailing them as if the murderers had written the tales. Because Logan hated the idea of books being burned though, they made it within the history that the books were saved, and Remus would often read the newest addition to Logan excitedly.
"So, what case will you be reading tonight?" Logan inquired, taking a seat on some pillows they had brought there long ago. Remus hummed, pratically vibrating as he searched the ever-growing bookshelf for the one he had wanted to read.
He cried out happily once he found it, pulling the leather-bound book from the shelf. "I was thinking of one that was left unsolved for a change!" He exclaimed as he waltzed back to Logan, plopping down beside him.
Logan hummed, moving so he could lay his head on Remus' lap. Remus grinned down at him, and showed Logan the title of the book. The Zodiac. Logan smiled, and nodded at Remus to begin.
Logan listened intently as Remus read, watching Remus' expressions as he followed along with the story. He had learned early on into their relationship that Remus loved reading to people. He was a storyteller, after all! Most didn't enjoy what stories he created however, and when it was true stories, they never seemed to like.
So when Logan had showed interest in a book about a murder Remus had learned a lot about, the darker part of creativity jumped at the chance to share the things he'd learned. In the form of a book, of course. Writing it all down and finishing a book about it left Remus feeling proud, and the look on his face when Logan came to him asking for more stories was an expression of pure delight.
And so, the ruins were created. And their relationship blossomed.
They remained within their safe space for awhile, Remus reading the book while letting his hand wander through Logan's hair. Soon the moon above was sinking behind the trees and the sky started to turn crimson, the stars slowly twinkling out of sight.

Remus closed the book just as the sun became visible above the canopies, and Logan moved himself out of Remus' lap. He sat across from him, and Remus placed the book on a nearby broken pillar, before pulling Logan close.
Logan laughed lightly, but melted into Remus' arms, nuzzling Remus' neck and he placed feather-light kisses to his exposed skin. Remus hummed happily, arms tightening around Logan.
"We need to go soon, they'll wonder where you are."
Logan shrugged slightly, leaning up to press their foreheads together. He smiled fondly at Remus. "Let them wonder, then. I'd rather stay here with you for as long as I can."
Remus laughed lightly, leaning in and capturing Logan's lips. Logan seemed to sigh happily, shifting in Remus' arms and moving his hands to cup Remus' face. When they broke apart, it wasn't for long, just enough time for Remus to mumble "that sounds like something I or Roman would say," and then they were laughing through the next kiss.
"It's true though," Logan whispered when they broke away again. "We hardly get to do this, it's nice, and I want it to last as long as possible."
Remus gave him a soft smile, so unlike the one he normally wore. It gave Logan a warm feeling that blossomed in his chest and spread throughout him. Their next kiss was long and slow, pulling the other closer than they were before.
They weren't going to let the moment go to waste.
