Roman hummed quietly as Deceit collapsed into his open arms, sighing in content as Roman pulled him close. He laughed lightly and began to run a hand through Deceit's hair while his other hand rested on Deceit's hip lightly. "Stressful day, huh?"

Deceit groaned, burying his face into the crook of Roman's neck. "You've no idea. I had no clue helping Patton bake for the party would take so long." Deceit pushed himself up, giving Roman a bewildered look. "Did you know he has a specific part of the process that takes like, an hour? And it's to make sure the cake and cookies are 'filled with lots of love!'?"

He collapsed back into Roman's chest. "We had to do that for every batch of cookies and THREE cakes!"

Roman chuckled, pressing a kiss to Deceit's head. "Patton is... very specific in how he cooks, I know. Though the food always tastes wonderful."

Deceit shook his head slightly. "Totally not worth it. I had to spend so much time with him, I couldn't go check on Remus, or spend any time with you today."

Roman shrugged, pulling Deceit close. "Remus is with Logan, has been all day. You don't need to worry about him for now. And as for the second part," Roman tilted Deceit's head up, before tracing Deceit's cheek, thumb grazing over the scales. "We can spend some time together now."

Deceit smiled slightly, shuffling up a bit so he could press a kiss to Roman's lips. Roman sighed slightly, melting into it as his hands wandered to rest at Deceit's hips.

"Sound good?" Roman asked quietly when they broke apart. Deceit chuckled, nodding before leaning in again. He felt relaxed already, and Deceit wanted to spend as much needed time with Roman as possible.
