To say that Deceit and Logan weren't knowledgeable in the field when it came to love was an understatement. They were complete and utter idiots when it came to romance. So, when feelings had sprung between not only the lying and logical side, but the passionate aspect as well, least to say, things got complicated.
It took literally two years for Logan to confess his feelings. Two long years of blushing and stuttering whenever he spoke to Roman or brushed past Deceit.
And Deceit? He literally broke down into tears when Logan had confronted him. It took three hours for realization to set in, three hours of being hugged by and whispered to by Logan. His words weren't the most helpful, just ways to help Deceit calm down, with the occasional accidental whisper of something that made Deceit's stomach catch butterflies.
Deceit and Logan dated for approximately five months, before something happened that prompted them to act.

Deceit looked up suddenly from where he had been sleeping, comfortably curled into Logan. "He's doing it again," he mumbled, burying himself further into Logan's warmth to try and block out the lies he heard.
Logan frowned slightly, setting down his book and running a hand through Deceit's fluffy hair. "Is he now?"
Deceit nodded, and Logan kissed the top of his head. "Perhaps it is time we confront him about it." Deceit nodded again, and after a few moments, realized Logan had meant now. He scrambled out of the other's lap, grabbing another sweater, a bright yellow turtleneck one, and pulling it on to stay completely warm.
He followed Logan out of the room, arms crossed over his stomach as he felt nerves kicking in. They were soon at Roman's door, and Logan had already knocked. "Roman?" He called. No response, but Deceit could no longer hear the lies that spilled from the room.
"Roman, can we come in?" Logan tried again, reaching back to gently take Deceit's hand. Deceit welcomed the gesture, smiling as Logan gave his hand a small squeeze.
"Sure!" The voice sounded falsely happy, but the two traits entered nonetheless. They let the door close behind them, and let their eyes adjust to the darkened room, usually bright. "Anything I can help you with?"
Roman looked anything but the glittery prince he usually portrayed. Light brown hair a tangled mess, and a long sleeve shirt cut up a bit, possibly from a fight, with ripped jeans and nothing on his feet.
"We wanted to talk," Logan said slowly, glancing at Deceit momentarily before turning back to Roman. "Are you... are you alright?"
Roman seemed like he was about to answer, but his words got caught in his throat. He cleared it, looking down, then back up to the other two. He knew he couldn't lie. Deceit would certainly call him out on it.
".... no."
Deceit frowned more than he already had been, and released Logan's hand. He wasn't one for hugs, bit it felt right, pulling Roman close to try and help. Roman didn't try to pull away either, and instead clung to Deceit's sweater by the hem.
Logan joined the hug, and Roman was suddenly surrounded by warmth and when did they move to his bed? What was happening? Surly this was just out of nothing but annoyance, right? They didn't want him to feel bad because if he felt bad then Thomas wouldn't be productive which would make him useless. Roman would be useless and cast aside and then swiftly forgotten and then-
"Stop. Please, just stop." Deceit mumbled, burying his head in Roman's shoulder. "I can't hear you lie to yourself anymore."
Roman froze, and pushed both Logan and Deceit away just enough to look at them clearly. But that was hard when you had tears threatening to fall. "What?"
"Dee can, he can hear when we lie. Not only to others, but ourselves. Roman, why do you lie to yourself?"
Roman gulped. "I don't-" the look Deceit sent him was a warning one, and Roman sighed, biting his lip. "It's just- I feel- I don't know! I feel like, I feel like I'm being cast aside, not in the way how Deceit had been, nor Virgil, nor you. But in a... in a way where you'll find no more use for me."
His lip trembled, and he bowed his head. Deceit kissed his forehead, holding him comfortingly. Logan wrapped an arm around Roman, rubbing circles on his back soothingly. Roman shuddered as tears started to slip from his eyes and wet Deceit's sweater.
"You'll always be useful, Roman." Deceit stated firmly, and Roman looked at him with watery eyes and a shaking breath. "We would never, ever, cast you aside. Don't ever feel like you need to hide that feeling."
"Take it from me, it's not good to bottle it up." Roman turned to Logan as he spoke.
Deceit nodded, nuzzling Roman's neck gently. "So, promise you'll not lie about these? Be honest to yourself, and us?"
Roman swallowed, pulling Logan closer and curling into their embrace. "I'll try," he mumbled, tears still slipping down his cheeks.
