Sidenote: I know pretty much nothing about politics, I'm too young to vote and I cannot persuade anyone in my house to vote a certain way even if I wanted to. So I don't usually keep up with politics and that's pretty much why this is so short-

Remus had always found politics a bit boring.

It just wasn't as fun as it used to be! No huge trials, no monarchs getting their heads chopped off. The things that the nominees spoke about were all well and good and would definitely benefit people but Remus just couldn't force himself to follow the elections. He always waited until he was supposed to vote, doing a lot of research the night before and making his decision then. All the information would still be in his brain, and he was able to see which person he wanted to be elected better that way. Once their campaign was over, and all the dirt on them had been mostly revealed.

His partner, Virgil though, stayed on top of politics. Remus would let Virgil just ramble about the most current speech or the newest development. Remus was more interested whenever Virgil showed him memes though.

On one of their dates, Super Tuesday of all days they had chosen to go and Virgil was once again talking about politics. Remus only really realized he was zoning out when Virgil was almost done, and Remus grinned slightly.

"Our king-"

Remus leaned across the table and grabbed Virgil's hoodie, tugging them forward lightly and he pressed their lips together. Remus broke away far too quickly for Virgil's liking.

"-Bernie Sanders..."

Remus burst into a fit of giggles before Virgil rolled their eyes, pulling Remus into another kiss. "Rude," Virgil had muttered against Remus's lips. Remus grinned some more.

"Love you too, Virgie!"
