Keeping Sanity - Intruloceit -
Warnings: Slight Deceit angst, Mention of sick mother and a terrible teacher, lmk if I need to add any other warnings!
-------------------------------------------
Everything was just going wrong for Damien.
First, his mother had gotten sick and he needed to take care of her for a few weeks, which he had done until his brother Virgil had been able to come help their mom himself.
Then, Damien gets stuck with some bitchy teacher who demands perfect attendance no matter the case. The teacher had taken over his fine arts class a week before Damien had been able to come back to college, and she was furious, giving Damien only a week to catch up on all his missing classwork and make up any missed tests while he still needed to do the normal work for the fine arts class, and his other classes.
And finally, he was failing his statistics class for a very, very similar reason. Except he was being given plenty more time to catch up, but it was still stressful on Damien.
He had needed to take a breather from all his homework, so he left his dorm and wandered outside despite the cold. The frigid air let him clear his mind but at the same time his thoughts buzzed louder than ever, and the tears burned his eyes but he somehow managed to keep them back.
There was some hope for his sanity, though.
"Dee?"
"What're you doing out here?"
Two people sat on either side of Damien, both barely touching him just in case he wasn't in the mood for it. He really wanted them to hug him, though.
"Nothing, really." He said dryly. Damien laughed suddenly. "I mean, who doesn't like sitting in the cold on a college campus wanting to cry?" He continued to laugh until his laughter turned to quiet sobs and ye covered his face, rubbing at his eyes roughly.
Remus and Logan glanced at each other, before looking back to their boyfriend and they moved closer, sandwiching Damien between them. Remus wrapped his arms around Damien tightly, nuzzling his hair whereas Logan leaned his head on Damien's shoulder.
"You don't have to go through his all on your own, you know?"
Damien sniffled, glancing between them through his tears. He knew he didn't have to. But he also didn't want to drag either of them into this.
"Yeah, we're right here to give you all the comfort you need, and who knows, maybe if we squeeze you to death we can somehow frame the administration and sue!"
Damien chuckled as Remus kissed the top of his head. Both Logan and Remus were warm, and he melted into their embraces. Logan reached up to wipe away Damien's remaining tears.
"Or," Logan began, glaring half-heartedly up at Remus, "we can put on Gravity Falls or something, order a pizza, and spend the rest of the night cuddling on the couch. Since none of us have classes in the morning tomorrow, Remus and I can help you with the rest of your work."
Remus stuck his tongue out at Logan. "You're no fun!"
"I prefer having a boyfriend who's alive, Cephy," Logan replied as he pressed a soft kiss to Damien's neck. Damien's cheeks heated up at the action, but it was nothing compared to the way Remus's face turned red from the nickname.
Remus muttered something under his breath before burying his burning face back into Damien's hair. "I like him alive too," Remus said just loud enough for them to hear, arms tightening around Damien.
Damien wiped his eyes one last time before taking a deep breath. "I like your idea, Lo. And we can always use Remus's as a Plan B. It's certainly tempting."
Logan rolled his eyes as Remus laughed, clambering to his feet. He helped Logan and Damien up, releasing Logan's hand but not Damien's as they left to go back to their dorm.
Everything was going terribly for Damien. That's what he thought.
At least he had two wonderful boyfriends to help him, though.
