Good Luck - Prinxieceit -
This is really shitty but oh well-
----------------------------------------------------
Virgil shifted in Deceit's many arms, chest to chest now with the deceiving side. Deceit smiled down at him after finishing his story, and Virgil grinned back.
"So, let me get this straight-"
"Yeah, good luck with that."
Virgil snorted, rolling his eyes as he leaned forward and captured Deceit's lips in his own. It was soft, and very sweet, and so unusual. This whole relationship thing was new to them both.
"You know what I meant," Virgil mumbled against Deceit's lips, before pulling back. He propped himself onto his elbows, looking down at his new boyfriend. "Anyway, you're telling me Roman has been trying to swoon you for months, and you really never noticed until now?"
Deceit groaned softly, leaning his head back a bit as his human flesh tinted a light pink. "I'm an absolute genius when it comes to romance, you know this!" Virgil laughed, leaning forward again and instead of pressing a kiss to Deceit's lips, as Deceit had expected, he pecked Deceit's cheek. Then the other, and then Deceit's nose.
"I know, that doesn't make it any less funny." He grinned down at Deceit, reaching over to trail his thumb over Deceit's scales. Virgil bit his lip. "So, what are you going to do about it?"
Deceit glanced away, his hands finding Virgil's hips and rubbing circles gently into the skin that was slightly exposed. "I don't know, really. I don't want to hurt him, y'know? I remember the whole incident with him and Patton still."
Virgil visibly cringed at the memory. He then nodded in understanding.
"But I also don't want to lead him on, and I don't know, I've definitely felt something for Roman before. But I don't know if I'd still feel those things."
Virgil sat up, and Deceit thought he'd said something wrong, as he followed suit. Virgil didn't pull away from him though, instead wrapping his arms around Deceit's neck loosely and looking into his partner's mismatched eyes. "Well, I wouldn't be opposed to asking Roman to be in a relationship with us. Or just you." Deceit tilted his head in confusion.
"What are you getting at?"
"A polyamorous relationship," Virgil said. "As long as Roman's okay with it too, though."
"You'd really be okay with that?"
Virgil shrugged. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
Deceit didn't really have an answer, and instead he pulled Virgil closer, burying his face in Virgil's neck. Virgil hugged back, kissing Deceit's temple lightly. "Love you, Dee." He whispered.
"Love you too, Vee."
The next day, they confronted Roman. Deceit spoke for the majority, explaining that he and Virgil had been a couple after getting confirmation from Roman that he did indeed have romantic feelings for Deceit. They watched Roman deflate, but before he could retreat to his room or the Imagination, Virgil asked if he wanted to join them.
And if Logan found them cuddling in Roman's room later, fast asleep and resting well, Logan never mentioned it. Instead he just left three plates with dinner on the nightstand and slipped out of the room soundlessly to let the trio sleep in peace.
