Afraid to Pee After a Horror Movie? Understandable.

A/n: Speaking of horror movies, one of the 4y/0's fav movies is a nightmare on elm street 💀 all three of the kiddos love horror, and they haven't been having nightmares, So I guess it's fine ??? I think i'm helping to raise psychopaths tho because they gasp and laugh when people get murdered ???

Recently they've been obsessed with Michael Meyers. The 15 month old gets so excited when we watch the Halloween movies.

This one is for the amazing @whatever23t, thank you so much!!😆

Virgil was alone, which in and of itself was a danger to everyone he knew. If he was alone, there was a high chance that he could get bored—and nobody liked bored Virgil. Bored Virgil was scary.

Luckily for everybody in the group-chat, Virgil decided that instead of tormenting them, he would watch a movie instead. His downfall, however, was that he decided to watch a horror movie.

Now, usually, Virgil was okay with horror movies. As the dark and brooding emo of the group, he didn't think it would be appropriate to sit down and watch my little pony all day.

His anxiety sometimes blew out of proportion when it came to horror movies, he would overthink every little detail—sometimes he even thought he saw shadows out of the corner of his eyes, and felt a presence in the room.

So yeah, watching a horror movie alone wasn't the brightest idea, but he figured he would be fine, he wasn't a baby, he could handle it.

————————————————————

...So, yeah, turns out that he could not handle it. Like, at all.

He was scared to death, shaking, and didn't move from his spot on the couch for a solid five minutes as the end credits rolled, and the only reason he did move is because the music that went along with the end credits was extremely creepy.

He had turned the lights off for effect, but now he was regretting that choice as he paused the movie to stop that god awful music. He really didn't want to move—not at all, but he needed to turn the lights on so that he didn't start screaming. Were the stairs creaking?!

He shook the thought away, and tried to calm himself down. He heard a noise, and jumped up, running towards the light switch like a bat out of hell, only to discover that the sound was the washing machine beeping.

He let out a sigh of relief—he couldn't do this, he couldn't be alone. The sun was setting and it was going to be dark out soon. He needed company, at least for a little while. He knew that Patton and Janus were out on a date, so they were out of the question. Logan was at a book club like he was every Friday evening, the nerd—so that left him with the option of the twins.

It wasn't like Roman and Remus would have been his last choices—no, it was just that he knew if they figured out why he wanted them to come over, he'd be teased endlessly.

Still, he picked up his phone to text them, because he was honestly freaked out. He needed some company or he was going to go insane. He didn't want to text the whole group chat, so just texted Roman.

Virgil: Hey, can you and Remus come over?

Roman: You? Want us over? Am I dreaming?

Virgil: cool it smart ass

Roman: I was just joking! Have you ever heard of it? Look up the word joke in the dictionary!

Virgil: I don't even think I want you to come over anymore Never mind /hj

Roman: noooo i'm sorry, we'll be there soon

Virgil smirked with the satisfaction of knowing that Roman would do anything to stay on his good side, and began to prepare for them to get there.

By prepare, he meant pace in front of the front door for fifteen minutes and jumping at the sound of his own feet. When there was a knock on the door he let out a blood curdling scream, before opening the door and feeling mildly embarrassed at the looks he was given by the twins.

"Are you...alright?" Roman asked cautiously after a moment of staring.

"Oh, um—yep! Totally fine!" He chirped with a shaky smile.

Virgil turned his back and walked further into the house, beckoning them in, and Remus and Roman gave each other a look. They probably thought that Virgil was going to murder them that night, which was a fair assumption based upon how he was acting.

Just ten minutes into their visit they could tell that something was extremely wrong.

Virgil, by no means, was a shy person. He was't loud or anything like Roman, or over energetic and extraverted like Patton. No, he was usually kind of cocky and sarcastic. Roman thought he was a try hard emo who had a secret soft side, but he'd never say that out loud because he wasn't too keen on death so early in life.

Still, despite Virgil's usual personality, that night he seemed a little...reserved. Extremely jittery, and almost shy, which was a shock. Remus expected them to have one of their usual gossip sessions, thinking that was the whole reason they came over there. But no, it seemed more like the emo just wanted company.

Like he was lonely or something.

So, in Roman's naturally annoying fashion, he decided to start a conversation.

————————————————————

Virgil began to feel a lot more relaxed when Roman started talking. Sitting in silence hadn't done much for his fears, but as soon as Roman's loud voice filled the room, Virgil was more thankful than annoyed. It just reassured him that he wasn't alone, and that the movie wasn't real.

While the conversation certainly helper, after a few unnecessary gasps and flinches, Roman was ready to start questioning him, "Virgil are you okay?" He asked seriously.

And Virgil wasn't really sure what to say. 'Oh yeah, i'm scared out of my mind because I watched a movie that Remus would probably find more laughable than scary, i'm a wimp and I needed company' yeah, no. He just shrugged, bringing his knees up to his chest.

It had been hours now, and he really had to pee, but he just couldn't get up and go because he was afraid. The bathroom door was wide open, he could see it from there if he was turned around, but it was dark—pitch black in there. And he wasn't sure if he had the balls to stick his arm into the darkness in order to turn the light on.

What if something grabbed him? What if something was hiding in the bathtub or in the cabinets and jumped out at him while he was trying to relieve himself? Absolutely not, he could wait.

...But wait until what? Until morning? Hell no, that wouldn't work. Wait until Roman and Remus left so that he could piss in a cup without being judged? That would seem better, but he really didn't want to have to rush them to leave because he was still scared.

"You just seem...different tonight" Roman tried again.

"Just tired, I g-guess" Virgil stuttered.

Remus stared at Virgil, trying to read him and his body language. He narrowed his eyes, noting that Virgil just couldn't sit still. He was bouncing around, moving from side to side, just—constant shifting and fidgeting.

It took him a second to understand what it all meant, but when everything clicked he smirked wildly. Oh, itbwas time to tease.

"Hey, Virgil?" Remus questioned.

"What?" Virgil asked, tapping his feet a little.

"You seem really squirmy tonight" he commented casually, biting his lip to keep from smirking.

"Uh, just. A lit—little spooked I guess" he stammered, his face flushing.

He kept up the act, relishing in the beautiful shade of red on Virgil's cheeks, "oh, what's got you scared?"

"N—nothing in particular, just anxiety, y'know" Virgil said, shifting his weight slightly.

"Really? It's just that?" Remus asked, cocking his head to the side, "or do you gotta go potty?"

And boy, if Remus thought Virgil was blushing before, he was exploding now, "no" Virgil snapped, folding his arms and tensing his thighs. He hadn't thought that his problem was that obvious.

Remus snickered, "so that's not your signature potty dance? Gosh, you look like a toddler!"

"Remus, leave him alone" Roman snapped, quick to come to Virgil's defense, before he turned and raised a brow, "you know, it's okay if you do have to go, we'll be fine for a few minutes. Is this why you've been so quiet tonight?"

Virgil had never felt such an intense humiliation before. He wasn't sure what was worse, the fact that Remus was laughing at him, or the fact that Roman looked so concerned. And the icing on the cake was that Virgil was afraid to use the bathroom alone.

"I—I can't" Virgil mumbled.

Roman blinked, "you...can't?" He asked slowly, making sure he had heard that right.

"I don't...want to go alone" he muttered, clearly uncomfortable.

And Remus let out a laugh. Like—a full on belly laugh, "maybe he really is a toddler, oh—oh, that is rich!" His laugh was high pitched and loud, "oh, Virgil—you're afraid to go and piss by yourself? Why, because it's dark?!"

"Remus!" Roman barked, raising his voice, "that is enough!"

"But—"

"Enough!" He growled, his voice low and angry. Remus clamped up at the tone—he'd never seen his brother so serious before. He honestly expected him to join in on the teasing.

Roman felt really bad about how terrified Virgil seemed at the prospect of using the bathroom by himself, "i'll go with you" he said.

"N-no, you don't have to, i'm just being a baby" Virgil stuttered.

"No. Dude, you are literally shaking" he said, taking Virgil's trembling hand, "is it really just anxiety?"

Virgil bit his lip, "the truth is embarrassing."

"Worse than this?" Roman joked.

Virgil giggled a little and shook his head, "I guess not. I w—was afraid because I watched a horror movie, and you know how I get, over thinking and everything, but I didn't think my brain would blow everything so out of proportion" he explained, "that's why I wanted you to come over. And why i'm afraid to go to the bathroom."

"Oh, Virge—come on, let's go" Roman said, standing up. He brought Virgil close to him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, "don't feel embarrassed. One time I refused to use the bathroom all night because there was a fruit fly in there the last time I checked. A fruit fly."

"Oh, yeah that's definitely worse" Virgil teased, still feeling a little shaken up, but Roman was certainly helping. When they got to the bathroom, Roman sensed Virgil's apprehension and turned the light on for him.

"See? Nothing in here" Roman proclaimed, checking the cabinets and in the tub, "nothing at all. There's nothing in the house either. You checked the lock seven times, remember?"

"M-maybe I should check again—"

"Nope! It's locked, we made sure of it. Now you can go." Roman said. Virgil squeezed his hand tightly as he tried to leave, "Virgil" he said gently, "you quite literally can't stand still. And i'm not going to stay in here because tomorrow you'll wake up and be so humiliated that you won't ever speak to me again."

Virgil nodded, "you're right..." he said, but still made no move to let go of Roman's hand.

"What if I guard the door?" He asked.

Virgil liked that solution, so nodded and let go of Roman's hand.

Once the door shut, and Roman gave a knock to signify that he was still there, Virgil was quick to pull himself out and go—finally, it had been hours, he thought he was going to explode.

"Ohhhhhh that feels so good" Virgil Moaned.

"Yeah, I don't exactly need the narration" Roman chuckled from the other side of the door.

"Shut up, you have no idea how good this feels" Virgil whined. Whined, Roman felt himself melting at that. Now if Virgil could just whimper he'd be set—

And he did! He did whimper! And Roman thought he was a creep, but it was just so hot to hear coming from the emo. Emo boys whining and whimpering was life to Roman.

By the time Virgil's (very loud, very heavy stream ended) Roman had already snuck away to kick Remus out and snuck back so that Virgil would never know that he left.

When Virgil exited the bathroom, he looked mortified, "Roman, I am so sorry" he said, his voice breaking, "I didn't—"

"You have nothing to apologize for" Roman said quickly, "I promise, it's okay. Really, I don't mind. Heck, i'lo bring you to the bathroom again if you need to go later, I just want you to feel safe."

"L—later?" Virgil stuttered, "you aren't. Um, leaving?"

Roman shook his head, "not unless you want me to. And I got rid of Remus because he was being mean. You don't have to worry about his teasing."

"Thanks, Ro" Virgil said, "I mean it. I really appreciate what you're doing, even though it's stupid of me to need you to stay here."

"Not stupid at all" Roman said, leading Virgil to the couch, "now let's watch something that'll take your mind off of whatever horrible movie you saw earlier, hm? How about....Little Miss Sunshine?"

Virgil gave him a dry look.

"Shut up. You had a childhood crush on the emo mute kid, don't lie" Roman smirker.

Virgil sighed, "it's true. But don't try to lie and say that you didn't too. And he wasn't mute, he—"

"Aha! See, look at how defensive you got! I only said that to expose your gayness" Roman smirked.

Virgil rolled his eyes, "dude. It's a kid, I don't have that crush anymore."

Over the course of the movie, neither of them were sure how it happened, but both of them ended up inching closer together. Halfway through, their shoulders were touching. Ten minutes after that, Roman had an arm wrapped around Virgil's shoulder. By the end of the movie, Virgil was asleep, snuggled into Roman's chest.

Roman rested his chin on top of Virgil's head. His neck was going to hate him in the morning for sleeping in this position on the couch, but Virgil put up the recliner so he supposed it would be fine.

Recliner or not, it would have been worth it either way. Virgil's little snores were so adorable.
