Virgil's POV

"Hey Kiddo!" I heard a yell in the crowd of friends, as I saw my best friend, my first friend, Patton. "Hey Patton, what's up?" I asked with a smile framed on my face. This month has been crazy.

I've stood up to my bully, the popular mean "girl", Roman, I also am like the most popular person in this school at the moment and everything just felt awesome! I also have a boyfriend now, like the perfect guy! Remy! His coal dark beautiful eyes covered with his black sunglasses. I sigh before listening to whatever Patton yelled in happiness.

Everything was going smoothly.

Until...

Roman got there. But he looked... Stranger than usual. More like his brother, in fact, he had a black baggy hoodie on with long sweatpants. Did i hurt him? Was I too harsh? No, I was standing up to him, and he needed to know how it felt. His tired eyes hung off his face as his messy hair covered most his face. He was drunk.

Ethan, had a hand over him, and he smirk devilishly. Ethan mumbled something to him, Roman nodding in response and then walking over to me. Oh boy...

"Hey." He said in a raspy voice instead of the cheery lovely voice he usually has. He looked dead, a walking corpse.

"Hi Roman?" Was all I could say before he dragged me out of the music and loudness. He continued to talk.

"I'm sorry to do this to you on your birthday..." He mumbled deadly as he drew a knife from his hoodie and stabbed me in the chest. The pain moving upward as tears sprinkled in my eyes. "Agh!-" I groaned quietly as he covered my mouth. Beautiful red blood spilling out my body. "Happy Birthday, by the way,," he quietly said as he then proceeded to stab and murder me.
