I'm happy. Part 1
(This is a separate angst oneshot there's also references to certain things)
Virgil is a child locked, trapped, and forever hidden away in his own mind. He has been given fake happiness for his entire life that he believes that it's real. He has been given this fake happiness because he believes that his older brother is still alive. He has been telling nurses that he was fine. That he was happy. And he should be adopted. Some of the time Virgil experiences traumatic anxiety attacks and he slams himself against the walls over and over again screaming that he's happy, that he should be let out. He screams in agony as he tries to tear off his own flesh saying that it hurts so much. Nurses strap him down and force him to go to sleep with a syringe. One even tried to kill him by a overdose with the reason, "He's not worth the trouble. He's a burden to this hospital." The nurse got fired and Virgil would return back to his original state. He would be forcing a smile and saying that he's happy. Lie. Lie. Lie.
It is always a lie.
But today he was going to be adopted. It was by Patton and Doubt. He had his bags packed and went to the car. He didn't expect the life he was going to get.
Patton would try to spoil him but Doubt would destroy every present and say that this is what true happiness is. His 'mother' would call him a freak. She would force him under a mattress and pillows and blankets on it before laying on top of it. She told him that this was a little game for them to play. During the game he would struggle and ask "You want me to die? For real?" The mother would respond, "Go ahead. Die. For real." He would continue to struggle and start to pass out. "See? You don't want to live. Quitter. Quitter. Quitter. Quit. Quit. Quit." At the end he would pass out and his mother would get off and leave him there for Patton to find. Virgil would lie and say he's fine and that he's happy.
Lie.
He would always lie even though he doesn't know it. He believes the torture is normal and that he's happy. His anxiety attacks worsened as he bashes his head into the wall and floor. He shouts louder and his voice is more strained as he shouts. "I'm happy! I'm happy! I'm happy!"
Patton would try to help him but Doubt would stop him and leave Virgil to himself.
(And thus we leave this for a small series going to be called. I'm happy)
