Shadow - 2
"They won't work when the are broken." Neferi explained as she put the broken stones back into the pourch and stuff it back to her pocket.
"Where we can find them?" Cale asked as he turn his buisness mode on. He needed this strenght for the dear Mary, she was the main point in the war that was aproaching with big steps.
"I'm not quite sure where, but my assumptions are the Deadlands." Neferi now knowing the point of the group in her lands didn't have any reason to hide anything. They didn't want to find the sandvillage, all they wanted was something that could even help the lands.
"Where are they?" Rosalyn asked as she looked at the girl closely, maybe the gems could also work with magic? Who knows really, this land had many secrets that only one tribe knew all about and one represantive was in front of them.
Neferi took of the bag off of her shoulders and opened it taking out her souvenir and munching on the pita that was saley stored in there.
"Listen here, you are outsiders." Neferi was now not speaking in her soft voice, she knew she needed to tell this group to not go to deadlands. "Even I can only survive there for only month, and i tell you the normal person from my tribe can only three days." she said.
"The Deadlands is only place where water never been seen, rain never wisited and even animals that live mostely in the sun meets their end on this land." Neferi wasn't jocking around, yes she hated outlanders as much as she possibaley could, but she cherished every life, living was the best and she would never send someone for sure death.
"Then-" Cale started as he smiled making Raon ask him if he was scamming someone again. "With you would it be possibale to survive?" he asked.
Neferi was took aback by his question and she stopped talking. Would it be possibale? She had doubts.
"I can try giving you some, but i can't guarantine you it." she said. She didn't refuse the proposal, that gave Cale silent signal. She could help them survive there, but something kept her from taking them to the heart of the desert that was Deadland.
"That means you can actually take us there right?" Ron who was for now listening asked. He indeed was smart, he could read this girl like a book.
"We are strong we can deal with it." Choi Han added and group nodded their heads. Yes they were strong, Cale knew that and he was more then sure that they could survive everything.
"No." she dissagread with them making them look at her in confusion. She was strong she could clearly see that they were strong, but she still doubted them?
The one person that knew the best was her, she understood the desert like no other. And she could say that those people even if they were strong, stronger then her even she dared to say, wouldn't survive. Not alone.
"Even this invisible thing with you would survive only three days if it was lawyas not seen and only focused on itself." Neferi finally pointed out the thing that was with the group but never mentioned by none. Yes she trusted, or at least tried to, that they didn't came here to hurst her people but this secret was only giving her doubts especially since it was so strong and she had this wierd feeling in her heart.
"How did you-" Rosalyn couldn't express how shocked she was right now for a simple human with no magic in her to point out the invisible dragon with them.
"Its your eyes right?" Cale quickly came up with explenation for why she had known that there was someone with them. "You can see things that cannot be seen by others thanks to them." he just couldn't help but smile at it.
Now he understood why she was mentioned in the original story, why she was here right now. She had power like no other had, this is much greater then he suspected to be. Sandpeople were extrodinary...
"Yes, that's why you can't move at night without me, and why we can't move at night. You don't see what i see." Neferi explained.
"Raon." Cale called out the dragons name. It gave him the que to make himself vivibale again. There was no soul there outside their group.
Neferi's eyes never left the invisibale creature that as for now turned out to be named Raon and... It was a little dragon with this strange group.
She never seen dragon but she knew what they were, she learned everything about those egoistic creatures that she just couldn't help but hate as she read stories about them in her home village.
"I am great and mighty Raon Miru!" The child no older then five introduced itself to the girl in front of him. She didn't studder in her gaze at the black dragon until she just turned her gaze away. She wasn't stupid enough to insult a child and dragon, but she couldn't look at him.
"Nice to meet you." she coldly said looking now at the Dunes slowly getting up and going closer to them. She just couldn't stand the precence of the dragon.
Yes they were the closest creatures in this world to the nature, but they became narcistic thanks to that. They were pure and worshiped by others- she knew that but ever since she learned to understand her surrandings and how to read, she had her pride as an human.
An disgusting and not as great pride in her heart that told her to just antagonise those closest to nature since her people were abandoned by it. They lived in the land where the only thing closest to it was water that wasn't easyly found a land where it was hard to grow anything to survive...
Her eyes scaned the clear for her scenery looking for enemy that risened every time the sun set and darkness of the night came. The Sand Wraith for some reason never showed itself beyond the Great Dunes. Neferi always was the type of person who also didn't leave often beyond this so called border of Desert, it was too close to outsiders.
But now she could use the time to really ivestage it, she could look up the things she didn't previously when visiting this place.
"You are safe here, no monster or dangerous animal lurkes in this side of desert." Neferi turned to the group that was eating their food getting ready to rest. "I'm going to do my job, you can rest easy now. I'll wake you up when we will depart from here." she added as she took of her own way ignoring all of them.
