Sand -2

Her covered figure made its way inside the city as soon as the sun risen and she could safely return not beign stalked by the Sand Wraith. People started to wake up and walking out of their homes looking at their strongest warrior returning from the desert.

From fight that only Neferi could survive alone at night. They all respected her for that sore reason, she was after all not only the strongest but also the next head of the tribe. She was someone who shall be respected.

"Welcome back." The woman of the small frame said as Neferi walked next to her, she recived the polite nod from the girl as she entered the biggest house inside the city.

"I'm back father." her soft voice could be heard throughout the quiet place as she took off her shall to show her soft smile as she noticed her father coming down the granite stairs as he adjusted his best quality shall on his neck.

"Finally yes?" he laughed as he took turn to move the courtain that covered the archway to the study, where the whole history from start to now of their tribe was in. "Neferi." his usual calm and soft voice was different, he sounded stern and serious.

The only time when she heard him speak in that voice was almost ten years ago, when the bigest tragedy of his reign happen. When the Sand Wreith almost torn down everyone, when the sandtribe almost could vanish from earth to be saved by this one man in front of her.

He saved everyone when she killed the first one Sand Wreith in her life.

"Yes father?" she asked turing serious as she looked with her red eyes to those deep ones, the red eyes that were so red they almost looked black.

"You know what my biggest dream is?" he asked out of nowhere as she furrowed her eyebrown at his question.

"To help our tribe and to perserve our history." she answered. This was the role of the head of this tribe, to lead and protect to make sure the whole history is recored and thought for everyone.

"This is my role Neferi. Not my dream." he laughed as his eyes softened at his naive and stern daughter of his. "My dream is for you to know the world outside of desert, to see beauty of other regions." he said.

She looked at him confused. The land outisde of desert? She resented as everyone outsiders, she hated beast tribes, elves, humans, dragons and monsters. Neferi hated everything outside her own home, her own people.

"I don't understand father." she started as she took a step closer towards him. "My home is here, i don't know ehre are you coming from..." she said confused.

"Yesterday i recived information from our informator outside desert." Amun took seat on the cofortable looking sofa made out of wood that grew inside the big cactus's, covered by the plush made out of camel fur.

"Father I'm the strongest fighter here, I'm the only one who can protect us from outsiders that want's to attact our dessert i need to be here not outside." Neferi argued as she sat in front of her father on similar sofa made out of the same things.

"Neferi, no human or tribe can couse us trouble in our land." Amun was right, no one could survive inside the desert. "We need to start helping people..." the dark red eyes looked outside the warched window that had the view of the most beautiful scenery. The lake and the sand that shined brighter then any gem they ever seen.

"Why? They call our home as dealy, as ugly and as an threat to others." her anger shown on her face by the frown she had. "I will help no tribe, no beast and no human that only finds our home disgusting." she said full of hate.

"The information i recived was that small group of human's, one witch and one beastman, looks for a guide that could show them desert." he said smiling, he found that someone who wants to see the beauty of his land to be a good people. "They said that they want to see the beauty of it, they don't want to listen to others when they say those horrible things about our land, they want to see it." he said laughing.

Neferi looked puzzeld. Why? She knew inside her heart and resoning that this group wanted something from it, they were planning something.

"You want me to be their guide." she said now understanding why her father was talking to her and not other warriors. Why he choose her.

"Indeed i do." he laughed as he looked towards the archway to the room where stood the woman. She had the beautiful white cloth on her body that was covered in scars- but she didn;t hide them at all.

"Neferi." her soft angelic voice called out to the only daughter of Amun. "Not everyone is bad outside the desert." she reasoned as she walked in with the tray in her hends where the tea was with the Kahk* next to it.

"Mother..." Neferi adressed the middle-aged woman as she took the tray out of her hands to place it herself on the table that was covered with the cloth. "You lived among others, the ousiders." she started but was cut off by the woman herself.

"Not everyone is good, but those who see desert as the mysterious beautiful place are not bad. They are just like me." she said smiling at the memory that was shared every year at the anniversery of the marrige of the Amun and Cathreen.

"If thought the same as you Neferi. But when i met your mother it changed, if i didn't push back those thoughts like you have- we wouldn't have you. The greatest warrior here wouldn't be bron." Amun smiled with his wife at their daughter already knowing that this convinced her completly.

"Alright." Neferi agreed as she poured the Saidii tea inside the clay cup covering it with the leaves to give it more deep color. She took one Khak from the plate and munched on it. "I will meet them in one month at the front of the Suncrest city." she said.

"I always forget how far from other citys we are..." The beautful pale woman sighed as she sipped on the tea. "I'll tell Jamiha to pack your things on the trip." she sang as she took the bite of the traditional sweet for the tribe.

"No need, i can calmly survive month in deathland, so this is nothing mother." she calmed her mother but seeing her put out spirit she said. "But those people will need clothes to comofrtably travel through the desert." she said. Neferi knew her mother well and the clothes was what always brought brightness on her face.

"Alright. I'll prepare clothes for your new companions." Cathreene said as she stood up knowing fully well that her daughter will soon leave to make it to the Suncrest city in month. Neferi mumbled under her nose that they won't be her companions but oustiders.
