Chapter 13 🌹

In the car

Daksh made sure to shut every window with the curtains and consoled Saṃhitā with "...don't worry, love...she will not..."

Saṃhitā shrugged with her reply "...we don't know!...Yanika is quite equipped with her line of special ops from...we should leave this town...this state...this country.... please love...let's get out of here!..."

Daksh chuckled at her unnecessary stress and replied with his calm voice "...love?!...that's not going to help!...don't worry...I will find a permanent solution for this...hm?" and hugged her with caressing her hair.

For days Saṃhitā was able to find her solace in Daksh's arms who would always make it a point to not let her remember any of the bad vibes that had happened in their life over the past few months.

But somewhere a particular Yanika was trying her level best to uncover the culprit who had managed to torture her father and kill him so brutally.

As she investigated, Yanika had a clue that it would be someone from the family. As Sridhar did have some of the enemies in the family itself.

Her search for the culprit did shade her eyes on the cruel reality of her father being a paedophile.

CareforAll hospital

As Saṃhitā thanked her senior to help her out in the case, she walked towards her cabin for some rest after the 6 hours surgery.

Saṃhitā had only tried to open her cabin door when a stranger grabbed her from behind with pressing the chlorophyll infused kerchief.

As the man put the doctor inside the van, he called up his boss on the success of the plan.

In the dim lit room, Saṃhitā slowly opened her eyes to find herself bond with her arms behind the chair and being tapped on her mouth.

The room was dark with only a lone beam of light coming from a slit on the shaded window.

Creak!

The door opened with the kidnapper followed by his boss – Yanika.

"...you bitch!...you thought I wouldn't come to know that it was you who had killed my father!..." saying so Yanika slapped Saṃhitā harshly on the cheeks.

Saṃhitā jolted back to face her with her glaring eyes. Yanika removed her tap and asked her again on why did she do such a cruelty on her humble father.

"...humble?!!...that jerk?!!...humph!!...if I had a chance?...I would give him a thousand deaths...one worst the other!...so yeah!...I have no remorse whatsoever!!..." Saṃhitā's words only angered Yanika who slapped her again, a little harder this time.

As Saṃhitā's lips bled she could only see Yanika nodding to her minions who went to get the can. As they emptied the content of the can on Saṃhitā, she got terrified with the smell of kerosene and looked over the smiling Yanika.

"...this is your bid...for making me an orphan...making me lose the one person who would have given me the lease for a new life...in London...away from this filth of a place...I would have been so happy with my new job, new life...new boyfriend...but now...because of your revenge...I lost my chance...and now...you will lose yours...just with a flick of this lighter!...*laughs evilly*..."

"...No!!...No!!...No!!...Yanika, listen to me!...you don't know what your father was!!...he was a psycho!...he would harass me...assault me...at an age...I didn't even know the existence of such words!!...please Yanika!...don't do this!!...I know this is not you!!...." her words only pierced the flamed up Yanika who only snickered at Saṃhitā's sad state.

".... no!.... you deserved all that!...for being the perfect daughter!...what my father did!...was apt for taking away for arrogance...your attitude!...his likeness for your smart brain...beauty...only made me cower in the corner...hiding me...from his love...care...which you got!...I will never forgive you for that!...you deserve to die!..." saying so Yanika was about to flip the lighted flame on her when...

Splash!

Yanika felt the water sprinklers being on with the men not understanding the sudden water sprouts on them.

She yelled at them to check for the issue, leaving the tied up Saṃhitā with her – alone.

As Yanika began to wipe herself clean, Saṃhitā saw the window of opportunity and felt her hands to get released from the bonds.

Snap!

Saṃhitā waited for her to become careless and got up from the chair. Saṃhitā pushed Yanika with all her might and made a run towards the exit.

As she ran and ran, Saṃhitā couldn't understand the way out. But she didn't lose hope and looked for a possible exit. She finally found a door and went towards it.

Bump!

Her eyes widened with finding her solace and hugged him tightly. Daksh then backed a little and wiped her tears consoling "...don't worry!...I am here!...lets go!!..." and carefully took a tensed Saṃhitā out of the building.

As Daksh made her sit in the car, Saṃhitā felt the jitters at the event and tried to calm herself.

"...here...have this...it help you!..." Saṃhitā drank the juice from the bottle and emptied it to the much surprise of Daksh who was just caressing her hairs till she relaxed in his arms.

Daksh's penthouse.

Saṃhitā felt the light weight of a hand on her tummy when she found herself in the penthouse.

"...Daksh?!!..." her soft voice made the man open his eyes and pull her for his morning kiss. Saṃhitā couldn't understand on how did they end up in the villa when they were trying to escape the forsaken building.

"..." Daksh still saw the confusion in her eyes and thought to clarify her on the missed part of the event.

But he didn't.

As Daksh explained to her that they had returned from one of his business party and ended up in the penthouse as it was quite nearby to the party venue. Saṃhitā being too tired, just dozed off right away.

Saṃhitā didn't digest the lie and asked him about Yanika to which the man just laughed off saying that she had left for London a week prior.

"...then?!...how?!...I mean!...Daksh?!!..." as Saṃhitā was not able to decipher any of the events, Daksh just picked her in his strong arms, walking towards the washroom.

"...can we have a shower and leave for home?!...hm?...I wanna have your infamous poha!...please?!!" he bobbed her nose to make her chuckles and found her arms around his shoulders.

Shivalaya Mansion

Shekar was astonished on seeing the state of Sridhar's old factory being set ablaze by an unknown mafia cult. As the news spread like wild fire, Dharani was puzzled as to how the perpetuator's description was similar to someone they knew but she shrugged it off.

It was not possible for him to do such an act.

The news showed the deceased body of a young girl named Yanika being transported to the ambulance with a few other men being charred to almost dust in the horrible arson.

This incident happened accurately the same day when they got the news of Saṃhitā being missing from her hospital and an angered Daksh being running out of the mansion, calling his police friends.

Coincidence or fate.

After a few months.

Saṃhitā smiled heartily as she heard the news from one of gynae colleague when she gave the report to her.

Positive.

The one thing that would fulfil their life with more joy and comfort.

Both the families rejoiced on hearing the good news and thought to throw a party for the happy couple.

At the party.

Daksh was happily conversing with his friends as the party was going in a smooth manner.

"...Daksh?!...there is a someone who wants to meet you?!..." As Shekar welcomed the guest to Daksh, the man felt the paleness in his face.

But Daksh shaked the man's hands, enquiring about his health and so.

"...daring of you to come here?!..." Daksh asked the man after his father left them alone. The man – The Jokester* smiled at his words and responded with naughty chuckle.

"...why not?!...you might think of me as an assassin?!...but dear?!...I am a Feline...and a Capo at it...so, if you want to keep your *quoting in the air*...good image...help us out...send us the file...and the felines will erase everything...till the last fucking detail...I promise..." his smirk only meant for Daksh to not give up being in the radar and called up his office.

"...I told you everything!...then why have you come here, huh?!!" Daksh soft screamed at the man who was enjoying his cocktail and replied.

"...words don't matter...when it comes to proofs...without the written info?!...your words doesn't count!...we need the file...hardbound file...get it?!...give it to us!...and the remainder of your work is done!..." The Jokester made his point shrugging at the frustrated Daksh who saw his wife approaching them. He got tensed on being revealed in front of his innocent wife and dialled his secretary to transfer the folder to the felines.

"...yes!...everything!..." keeping the call, Daksh rubbed his chin and glanced back at the feline Capo growling "...its done!...now get off my back!...forever!...no contact...whatsoever!..."

A rather satisfied The Jokester donned his glasses with a wide smirk and bid him bye after getting the green signal from the feline advisor – Amelia*

"...who was it?!..." a clueless Saṃhitā patted Daksh's shoulders, who side hugged shaking his head with '...a shadow!...' confusing the woman. Daksh gave her an eskimo kiss to her much surprise and thought to enjoy the party.

Daksh took his wife back to the party and forget about the dreaded incident once and for all. Never looking back.

His feline friends would never disappoint him, as they were true to their words and work. Yanika and the past would be erased from Saṃhitā's life forever, making his wife breath freely.

Daksh had gone to the devil to make the deal and got what he wished for – at a price, of course. He had to shuffle through his office work and rush to his wife's hospital to get the much-needed info that the felines wanted.

After searching the fifteen years back records, Daksh did find the information and made a new folder out of it as instructed by the feline Capo, The Jokester.

The most wanted address of the missing and last descendant of the feline's arch enemy, Papi's Jhanvi.
