Yes I know it's not Christmas but still, these pictures make me melt into a puddle of happy. They are so adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yea, I want to apologize in advance. When I was doing the second. Chapter, I felt like the characters were going out of character. Like they're not acting as the would in the anime/manga. I'm really sorry and I really try to keep them in character but it's a little hard. If you, at any time, think that the Nanami, Kagome and the others aren't acting like their selves, I would greatly appreciate it if you told me or suggested how yo make this better. Arigatōgozaimashita!
Now....... the tale! (Get it?)

Inuyasha and Tomoe
Inuyasha and Tomoe walked silently ignoring each other. Had it not been for their companion's strict orders, right now they'd be happily running off in opposite directions. Right now they walked towards the river after getting the water buckets from the house. Inuyasha perked up when he heard Tomoe grumble something about a meaningless half-demon.

" What do you have against half demons?!" Finally spoke said half-demon. Tomoe' eyes glinted dubiously. He was going to enjoy this.

"Oh nothing. Just that they are weak creatures that can't even care for themselves. They can be just as weak as humans." The kitsune casually insulted. All his life Inuyasha had been called weak. Easy prey. Worthless. Maybe 3 years ago he would've agreed with Tomoe. That he (Inuyasha) wasn't powerful enough and that yes, humans were weak. But after those three years, seeing how strong humans were, three in particular, he couldn't let that comment slide.

" What do you know about humans anyways? A 'strong', 'powerful' yokai as yourself wouldn't be caught dead associating with them. Unless you're talking about that girl. Is that what you mean by weak? That you have to go around being her personal bodyguard?"

"Hm. You should speak. What about Kagome? If she's not your slave, prey, or what not why are you with her? Your surely not involved with her....( *cough* romantically *cough*)

"Why do you care? In your opinion we're just a weak half demon and human. You ain't got a reason to care."

"Because....." Tomoe was left with nothing to say. Actually, there were many things we wanted to say but couldn't.
'Because romance between human and yokai/demon is taboo. It's not allowed. Forbidden. How can you and Kagome be so happy and peaceful together?'

Inuyasha sensed certain discomfort so instead of teasing like he usually would, he just continued in silence till they arrived at the river.

Kagome and Nanami

While on their walk, Nanami mistered enough courage to ask Kagome about..... Well, a lot.

"Is Inuyasha a half-demon?"
"Why were you not surprised I came from the future?"
"Are you a Kamisama?"
"Is Inuyasha your familiar?"
"Do you have a shrine?"
" Why are you being so nice?"

Kagome smiled at the girl's questions, it kinda reminded her of herself.

"Yes he is"
"I'm from another time period too, but I'll tell you about that later."
"No I'm not."
"I have no idea what that is but I'm thinking no."
"My family does."
" What you did was an honest mistake. If first impressions were the way I judged a person for life, I wouldn't have any friends here. Not even Inuyasha."
Nanami was going to object but then thought about Tomoe and Mizuki, her first impressions weren't all that good either.
"Okay," Nanami got ready to ask another question," then if Inuyasha didn't capture you or but a spell on you then..... why are you with him?"
"You could say he's my husband." (You have NO idea how weird it is to type that)
"But! Relationships like that are forbidden! And practically impossible!"argued the young God.
"Who forbids them? And if you've seen what I've seen and shared my experiences you'd know that many things that once seemed impossible are very possible"
"Like?" Nanami challenged. At that Kagome stopped and looked at the trees as if they would give her answers.
"Reincarnations, dead priestesses coming back to life, a black pearl used as a teleportation device, a necklace that binds a person, er hanyou, with a single word, jewel shards and jewels that give immense power, beings possessing other being, that was personal, lizards that posses you as well as hair, a flower prince who feeds off your pain, half demon that act like dense idiots, of course time travel.... should I continue?" Kagome asked innocently as if she were asking for the well being of a friend. Nanami gaped, her eyes and mouth wide open. Sure her life was strange but all this? She couldn't imagine going through that yet Kagome had!
"How....? " was all she could say.
"A lot of that was during a journey to restore a powerful sacred jewel." Was the only explanation given.
"But the dead priestess and reincarnation?"
'Out of all that, that's the only thing she asks about? Really?' Kagome thought.
'The main priestess who kinda journeyed along was Kikyo, the original protected of the jewel. I... I am her reincarnation." That was just awkward for Kagome. How could you explain this to someone who hadn't lived the experience? Meanwhile Nanami felt like like her brain was a puddle of mush but even she could tell Kykyo meant something else to Kagome. The awkwardness in her tone and slight pain in her eyes.
"But she wasn't just that was she? Don't try and fake I can tell."
Kagome didn't know what to do. She didn't know why she felt like she could trust this girl, like they were kindred spirits.
'In the beginning she tried to kill Inuyasha and me but we both, especially Inuyasha couldn't kill her again even though she had part of my soul and before restoring the jewel..... she died. It was hard on most people who knew her but especially Inuyasha." Kagome resumed walking and went a couple of paces in front of Nanami reaching the house first. Nanami ran after her but stopped right outside the house. Why would Kikyo be so important to Inuyasha? The it dawned upon her. Half demons probably lived a long time, which meant he probably knew Kikyo before she died the first time. When she was resurrected in the future which Kagome at his side..... it was a love triangle. Inuyasha wanted both Kykyo and Kagome but could only have one. When Kikyo died, probably his first love, it was definitely hard on him.
'Kinda like Yukiji, Tomoe, and me only, Tomoe would never want me' She finally went inside where Kagome was preparing dinner. Kagome looked up and saw Nanami silent and watching as if waiting for her to continue.

"After we finally collected all the jewel shards and put it whole again, which was broken by me when I first arrived, the jewel disappeared with the wish I made. The well which allowed me to travel between here and my time closed up for three years. Three years I didn't get to see Inuyasha or my friends. But on the third year after graduating high school it opened up again so came back to be with Inuyasha." The sun was low on the western sky when Kagome finally finished.

Kagome's tale filled Nanami with a warm feeling inside. Hope. Hope that if, Kagome and Inuyasha ended up together after everything they faced physically and romantically then maybe, things would turn out for her and Tomoe.

'A-as if!' Nanami shook away those thoughts,'As if Tomoe would take interest in a plain girl like me! He would 'never fall in love with a human woman'.'  Even though she repeated those words to herself she couldn't get rid of the hope that filled her like a flowering rose. Beautiful with soft petals, yet filled with sharp, painful thorns.

I was inspired towards the end so I hope it was better than the beginning. Again I would really be thankful for suggestions and/or telling me if I made mistakes. Or bad grammar. Or autocorrect words that don't make sense. Arigatōgozaimashita! Don't forget to read-vote-comment
