Chapter Twenty-Two: Hopefully That'll Happen

"Ding!" My Pear Phone went off, waking us up from my slumber. Somebody had obviously texted me. I stretched and yawned, as I sat straight up in my comfortable bed. I reached over for my phone that was laying on my wooden nightstand, which was to the right of my bed. I picked my phone up and held it near my face, so I could see who had texted me. The screen on my phone lit up, allowing me to see that it was now 8:07 in the morning on Saturday, December 20th. I could also see a message from Charlotte across the lock screen.

"Hey, guys! Ik it's early but I was just on my phone doing some research and I just found something that the vandals might be interested in vandalizing. Plz get back to me as soon as you can!" The text read.

Excited, I immediately hopped up out of my bed, ran out of my bedroom with my phone in my hand and into the one that Freddie and Gibby were sharing. When I had finally gotten in there, I noticed that Freddie and Gibby were already awake, doing stuff on their phones.

"Hey, did you guys get Charlotte's text?" I asked them, "She said that she found something on the internet that the vandals might want to vandalize

"Yeah, we're reading it right now," Freddie answered.

"Oh, she must've created a group chat then," I replied.

"Yeah."

"Hmmm, I wonder what she found," Gibby stated.

"I don't know," I told Gibby, "Let's ask her."

I then unlocked my phone and opened up my messaging app. I noticed that Carly, Dice, Sam, Cat, Taylor, Miles, Frankie, Louie, Nora, Billy, Max, Phoebe, Captain Man, and Henry were also in the chat, along with Freddie, Gibby, Charlotte, and I. As you can see, we decided to give Captain Man, Henry, and Charlotte our numbers, just in case we ever needed to contact them or vise versa.

"Cool what did u find?" I texted.

"Yeah plz tell us cuz we're dying to know," Taylor added.

"Yeah we've been searching for the vandals for so long and there's still no sign of them!" Max agreed.

"Geez I'm SOO tired of searching for the vandals!" Sam told us.

"Yeah, me too!" Freddie, Gibby, Cat, Dice, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Carly, Phoebe, Max, Billy, Nora, Henry, Captain Man, and I all agreed.

Since everybody had all answered Charlotte so quickly, I could t4ell that her text woke everybody up.

"Charlotte tell us what you found! We need to find the vandals now!" Captain Man demanded.

"Ok ok! Sorry I didn't think that u guys would get back to me so quickly," Charlotte apologized.

"How could we not get back to u?" Nora asked.

"Yeah, u texted almost all of us and I'd highly doubt that all of us had our phones on silent, so the alert that our phones gave us would wake us up!" Dice added.

"And u texted us saying that u might of found something that the vandals might wanna vandalize. Charlotte ur really smart! There's a great chance of ur plan actually working!" Henry chimed in.

"Oh, so we're not smart?" Louie questioned, clearly feeling insulted.

"Louie, Henry, Charlotte, and Captain Man haven't seen all of our attempts to catch the vandals," Carly told him.

"And they haven't seen all of the genius plans that we have came up with to save each other," Phoebe added.

"True," Louie agreed.

"So, Charlotte what did u find?" Frankie asked.

"Well I found out that on Monday The Swellview Mall is opening up a new Christmas attraction where kids will get to meet Santa and sit on his lap," Charlotte told us.

"Ooh is it going to be the real Santa!?!?" Billy asked, excited.

"They have that at every mall Billy. What makes The Swellview Mall so special?" Frankie asked.

"I know I was just curious..."

"Wow I can't believe that they're opening it three days before Christmas," Miles stated.

"Ikr. U would think that they would've opened it when the mall opened," Cat agreed.

"Well maybe they weren't finished building the Christmas attraction and the wanted to open the mall sooner," Freddie guessed.

"Yeah maybe," Captain Man, Henry, Charlotte, Nora, Billy, Max, Phoebe, Taylor, Miles, Frankie, Louie, Dice, Sam, Cat, Gibby, Carly, and I agreed.

"Anyways I was thinking that maybe the vandals would want to vandalize the Christmas attraction at the mall and we could go there and catch them," Charlotte continued.

"Hopefully that happens! It's almost been two weeks since that wall got vandalized and we and the police have been searching for them and nobody has found them yet! I'm getting tired of looking for them!" Sam told us.

"Same here!" Phoebe, Max, Billy, Nora, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Sam, Cat, Dice, Carly, Freddie, Gibby, and I all agreed.

"So its agreed? We're all going to the mall again on Monday to look for the vandals?" Charlotte asked.

"I guess so. What time should we go?" Henry asked.

"Well the mall opens at 8:00 A.M."

"But we're gonna be in school at that time!"

"U guys could always just fake a doctor's note, send it to the school, and sneak out to help us catch the vandals," Frankie suggested.

"They can't do that Frankie! It's illegal!" Taylor scolded her sister.

"How about instead of that they can just fake a sickness, have their parents call the school and tell them that they're sick, and sneak out of the house to help us catch the vandals when nobody's looking?" Nora suggested.

"Umm I don't think that's such a good idea either Nora," Phoebe stated.

"What else r they gonna do then?"

"Ok so how about instead of them doing all of that, they can just go to school while we look for the vandals at the mall and they can meet up with us as soon as they get out? And if we need them while they're at school I can just contact Henry on his wristwatch?" Captain Man asked.

"That seems like a good idea," Sam, Cat, Dice, Phoebe, Max, Nora, Billy, Taylor, Miles, Louie, Frankie, Carly, Freddie, Gibby, Henry, Charlotte, and I complimented Captain Man.

"Alright see u guys on Monday. I'm gonna go back to sleep," Phoebe told us.

"Lol same," Captain Man, Henry, Charlotte, Carly, Freddie, Gibby, Phoebe, Max, Billy, Nora, Dice, Sam, Cat, Taylor, Miles, Frankie, Louie, and I replied.

"Ok bye!"

"Bye!"

I then pressed the power button, which was on top of my phone, to put it on sleep mode. Freddie and Gibby did the same, as they put their phones down on their nightstands climbed back into their beds. I walked back into my bedroom, shut the door, put my phone back down on my nightstand, climbed back into my soft, white bed, and pulled the covers back over myself. I rolled over onto my left side, closed my eyes, and fell back into a deep sleep.
