Chapter 26

Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans: The Dark Twister

Chapter Twenty-Six: Adios!

Cat Valentine POV

By the time that we got back, the sun was starting to set. We were greeted by a small angry mob when we arrived back at the Fiesta Hotel Beach. They were the owners of the boats that we had stole. Among the mob, were the two guys that had taken Sam and I parasailing on their boat. As soon as we had gotten out of the boats, the angry mob rushed towards us, ready to attack. Just as we were about to get torn to shreds, we heard a loud whistle. We all turned around to see who had whistled. It was a Mexican guy who was wearing a sombrero and a red Hawaiian shirt. He then said something in Spanish to the angry mob. He had found one of the letters that we had put out for them. All of them gathered around the guy in the sombrero.

"A thousand-two-hundred-ninety-six pesos if we no call police?" One of the boat owners asked.

Sam, Nona, Dice, Goomer, Freddie, Carly, Nevel, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Nora, Billy, Max, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Taylor, Frankie, Louie, Miles, and I all nodded in agreement.

"Well, where is it?" Another boat owner asked.

"Do you have that much or you lie?" Another boat owner asked.

"Oh no, we have that much money; it's in our hotel rooms!" Ms. Hathaway told the boat owners.

"Well, go get!" Another boat owner ordered, getting impatient.

Mr. Thunderman laughed a nervous laugh. "As you wish."

Mr. Thunderman then turned towards Sam, Nona, Dice, Goomer, Freddie, Nevel, Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Nora, Billy, Max, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Taylor, Frankie, Louie, Miles, and I. "Ok, so how much money did each of you bring on this vacation? Barb and I brought two hundred dollars.

"I brought sixty dollars of my allowance," Phoebe told Mr. Thunderman.

"I brought forty dollars of my allowance," Max told his father.

"I brought two hundred also," Nona added.

"I only brought twenty," Sam stated.

"Ooh, I brought a hundred!" I exclaimed.

"I brought seventy of my allowance," Dice told us.

"Aww, I only brought thirty!" Goomer whined.

"It's ok Goomer," Sam assured our friend, "At least you brought more than I did."

"True."

"I brought two hundred dollars too," Ms. Hathaway told Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman and Nona.

"I brought sixty dollars of my allowance, just like Phoebe!" Taylor exclaimed.

"I brought two hundred for my boys and I," Mr. Preston told us.

"And I brought forty dollars of my allowance," Miles added.

"Ok, did anyone else bring any money?" Mrs. Thunderman asked.

Carly, Nevel, Nora, Billy, Frankie, Dr. Colosso, and Louie just shook their heads.

"I did, but I need it to pay for my ticket to get back home," Freddie told us.

"Ok, let's do the math," Mr. Thunderman told us.

After a couple of seconds of doing the math, Nevel told us, "So, that means that you guys have one thousand-two-hundred-tweny dollars in total."

I gasped. "That means that we don't have enough to pay them the amount that we promised them! What are we going to do!?!?"

Sam face palmed herself.

"Seriously, how stupid is this girl?" Nevel asked.

"I have no idea," Sam answered.

"What did I do wrong?" I asked.

"Cat, we have to pay them one-thousand-two-hundred-ninety-six dollars in pesos! One hundred dollars in our money is almost that much, meaning that we have more than enough."

"Oh, good."

"So, who's going to pay them?" Louie asked.

We all thought for a moment.

"How about Phoebe, Max, Sam, Dice, Goomer, Taylor, and Cat can pay and Barb and I can pay the rest, which is twenty dollars?" Mr. Thunderman suggested.

"Wait, wouldn't we need six hundred dollars because there's six of them?" Carly asked.

"Well, we are hoping that two of them are going to let us get away with stealing their boat without giving them any cash, since Sam and Cat almost got killed on their parasail," Nora told Carly.

"That must of been scary for you two."

"Yeah, it was," Sam and I agreed at once.

"So, what do you guys say?" Mr. Thunderman asked.

We all thought about Mr. Thunderman's suggestion for a moment.

"Sounds fair enough," Phoebe agreed.

"Yeah, even if I have to loose forty bucks," Max agreed.

"Hey, where's my pesos?" One of the boat owners asked, getting very impatient.

"Hold on señor; we're going to go get it in a few seconds!" Carly told the boat owner.

"Hurry, before I call police."

"Guys, we need to get that money now!" Frankie whispered, "The boat owners are starting to get antsy!"

"Billy, I'm going to need you to go inside the hotel and grab the money, while we create a distraction," Mrs. Thunderman whispered.

"Ok, so where's all of the money?" Billy asked.

"My money is in my little dark-blue purse that's on top of my nightstand," Phoebe told Billy.

"Mine is inside of the drawer of my nightstand," Max added.

"Mine is inside of my purple purse that's on top of my bed," Taylor stated.

Sam sighed. "Mine's inside of my little, brown wallet on top of the coffee-"

"Guys, do you really expect Billy to remember all of this?" Nora asked as she raised one eye.

Taylor, Sam, and Max all sighed. "I guess not."

"Yeah, how am I supposed to remember all of that?" Billy asked.

Sam then craned her neck around us to see the boat owners. "Excuse me a sec."

She then walked up to the guy in the sombrero and ripped the letter out of his hand.

"Hey!" He shouted.

"Do any of you have something that I could write with?" Sam asked.

One of the guys who took Sam and I parasailing, who was now wearing a green Hawaiian shirt sighed. "I do."

He then pulled a pen out of the left front pocket of his tan trousers and handed it to Sam. Sam then flipped over the letter to its blank side and placed it on Billy's back. She then began to write something down on it.

"Umm, Sam?" Carly asked.

"What are you doing?" Freddie asked, as if he was reading Carly's mind.

"Writing down the location of my money of course!" Sam answered.

"That's a great idea!" Taylor complimented Sam.

"Thanks," Sam thanked Taylor.

"Oh and by the way, I'm using that after you."

"Ok. I'm almost done."

As soon as she was done writing, Sam handed the pen to Taylor. As soon as the rest of us were done writing down the location of money, we handed the paper to Billy.

"Alright, I'll go create a distraction," Frankie whispered.

Frankie then ran up to the angry boat owners. "Hey, do you guys want to hear a hilarious story?"

All of the boat owners looked at each other, then shrugged. "Ok."

"Ok. So for years, my sister, Taylor, has been asking for a dog...," she began.

Mrs. Thunderman, Nona, and Ms. Hathaway then handed their room keys to Billy.

"Be careful and down't get caught," Mrs. Thunderman whispered.

"Ok, I won't," Billy agreed.

"Billy, go now, while Frankie has them distracted!" Nora whispered.

"Ok!"

Billy then ran to our hotel rooms, grabbed the four-hundred dollars, and ran back to the beach in only ten seconds. It's amazing that his super speed allows him to run that fast!

"Finally, on her tenth birthday-" Frankie managed to say, before she got cut off by Billy.

"I got the money!" Billy announced.

"Ooh, gimme!" One of the boat owners shouted.

Billy then started to give the money to the boat owners, as we had promised.

"Hey, where our money?" The guy in the green Hawaiian shirt asked, once we had handed out all of the money.

"Yeah!" The other guy who took Sam and I parasailing, who was now wearing a black Hawaiian shirt.

"Well, considering the fact that you almost accidentally killed our friends with your parasail, we were hoping that you would let us get away with this without giving you two any money!" Max exclaimed.

Both of the men looked at each other. They were speechless. I guess that they were shocked that we didn't want to give them any money. They both nodded their heads in silence. They both walked away and towards their boat, seeming disappointed that they weren't going to get one-thousand-two-hundred-ninety-seven pesos, like the other boat owners.

"So, what do you guys want to do now?" Louie asked.

"Take a nap," Sam answered.

"Yeah, me too," Phoebe, Taylor, Sam, Max, Dice, Nora, Nona, Frankie, Billy, Goomer, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Ms. Hathaway, Dr. Colosso, and I agreed.

"Well, Miles, Louie, and I have to go return the people that were possessing to where we found them, in the lobby."

"Oh, ok," Sam, Taylor, Phoebe, Goomer, Max, Nona, Nora, Ms. Hathaway, Dice, Billy, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Carly, Nevel, Dr. Colosso and I replied.

"So, Carly, Freddie, Nevel, do are you guys going to go back home or are you guys going to stay here with us for the rest of our vacation?" I asked.

"Well, there's no way that I'm going to stay here with Carly, Sam, and Freddie, but there's no way that I'm going to get back home!" Nevel told us, "I don't have enough money to pay for a plane ticket for myself, so that I can get back home, and neither do you guys!"

"Well, Carly could always fly you home," Miles suggested.

Carly and Nevel both gave each other disgusted looks. "NO!!!"

"I'm sorry, guys, but I think that it's the best way to get you back home, Nevel, unless you want Mr. Thunderman to do it," Mrs. Thunderman sighed, "The only way would be to walk all they way back home; I don't think that we could afford to steal another boat."

"Yeah," Frankie, Sam, Nora, Dice, Mr. Preston, Max, Nona, Ms. Hathaway, Phoebe, Goomer, Miles, Dr. Colosso, Taylor, Mr. Thunderman, Freddie, Louie, Billy, and I agreed.

"Aaagghh, fine!" Carly groaned, "I'll fly Nevel back home!"

"And I'll let Carly fly me back home," Nevel added.

"So, how about you, Carly and Freddie?" I asked, "Are you guys gonna go back home or are you going to stay here with us for the rest of our vacation?"

"No, I have to get back to Seattle!" Freddie told me, "My mom was really worried about me coming here and I have to go back to work at the Groovy Smoothie soon."

"And I have to go back to Italy; my dad probably has the whole entire Air Force searching for me!" Carly told us, "Although, I really want to go back to Seattle and live with Spencer. Life has been really boring for me at the military camp."

"Why don't you just tell your dad that you want to go live in Seattle with your brother again because you aren't happy in Italy?" Miles suggested, "I'm sure that he'll understand. Then, when nobody's looking, you can fly back to Seattle."

"That's a great idea, Miles, but what about my responsibilities as the chosen one? I'm going to need all of you guys to help me with that, especially the Thunderman's."

"Well, you could live with Spencer for eleven days, until we get back from our vacation, then tell him the truth about the whole chosen one thing, then move in with us, and we'll train you!" Mrs. Thunderman suggested.

Carly's eyes lit up. "Really!?!?"

"Yeah!" Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Nora, Billy, Max, and Phoebe agreed.

"And we'll even come and visit you and help you out every once in a while!" Sam added.

Carly's eyes lit up once more. "Really!?!? You will!?!?"

Mr. Preston, Goomer, Sam, Taylor, Louie, Dice, Nona, Frankie, Freddie, Miles, and I all nodded.

"Oh, thank you so much!" Carly thanked us.

"Carly, you don't need to thank us; we're you're best friends!" Freddie exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Sam agreed.

"Phoebe, Max, Billy, Nora, Mom, Hank, can you guys call me, once you guys get back home?" Carly asked.

"Sure," Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Max, Phoebe, Billy, and Nora agreed.

"Ok. My number is 489-5342."

"Wait, how are we going to remember that?" Billy asked.

"Well, Freddie could text it to my phone," Max suggested.

"That's a great idea!" Freddie complimented Max as he pulled phone out of his pocket, "What's your number?"

"649-8120."

"Ok, I'll text it to that number."

It took Freddie about a minute to text Carly's phone number to Max. "Ok, I just sent it!"

"Ok, good," Phoebe sighed.

Carly then looked over at Freddie. "Do you need me to fly you back home or are you still going to take a plane back?"

"I'll just take a plane back home," Freddie told Carly, "I have enough money to buy myself a ticket. I can just purchase one online in the computer room back in the hotel."

"You sure?"

"I'm positive."

"Ok. Nevel, are you ready to go back home?"

"Yeah," Nevel sighed.

"Ok, hop up on my back."

Nevel then wrapped his arms around Carly's neck and hopped up on her back. Carly caught his legs and held him up on her back. Dr. Colosso chuckled.

"See ya later, love birds!" He laughed.

Carly and Nevel gave Dr. Colosso a stern look.

"WE ARE NOT LOVE BIRDS!!!" Carly shouted.

"YEAH, THAT'S DISGUSTING!!!" Nevel added.

"Woah, chill out, you two!" Dr. Colosso told Carly and Nevel, "I was just kidding!"

"You better of been!" Carly shouted, "I would never date Nevel in a million years!"

"And I would never date that thing!" Nevel added, as he motioned towards Carly with a disgusted look on his face.

"But, what about that one time that you tried to-"

"NEVER SPEAK OF IT!!!"

"Oh, ok!!!"

"Why? What happened?" Goomer asked.

"I'd rather not speak of it," Nevel replied.

"Kk."

"Ok, where to, Nevel?" Carly asked.

"Gibby's house," Nevel replied, "His address is 736 Crimson Road."

"Oh, I know where Crimson Road is. Wait, why do you want me to take you to Gibby's house?"

"Because he's letting me stay there."

"Oh, ok then. Is the coast clear?"

We all then began to look around for anyone for anyone who could possibly be watching us. Nobody was on the beach, besides us and the boat owners, but they were swimming towards their boats; they weren't paying any attention to what was going on in the sky.

"I think that the coast is clear, Carly," Mr. Thunderman announced.

"Yeah, I think that it is too," Miles, Dr. Colosso, Freddie, Ms. Hathaway, Phoebe, Nona, Louie, Dice, Billy, Taylor, Sam, Nora, Mr. Preston, Max, Goomer, Frankie, Mr. Thunderman, Nevel, and I agreed.

"Ok," Carly replied, "Hold on tight, Nevel.

"Do I really have any other choice?" Nevel asked.

"I guess not, unless you want to fall off and die."

"Ok, ok! I'm holding on tight!"

"Ok, good because it's going to be a bumpy flight. I'm only a beginner at flying, you know."

"Yeah, I know. Just take me back to Gibby's house before someone sees us. Oh and by the way, Max, you still owe me a rocket."

"Why does Max owe Nevel a rocket?" Mrs. Thunderman asked.

"It's part of a deal that we made with Nevel," Phoebe told Mrs. Thunderman, "He promised that he wouldn't tell anyone about our super powers, if Max gave him one of his rockets."

"Oh, that makes sense."

"I'll fly it over to your house, once we get back from our vacation, ok?" Mr. Thunderman told Nevel.

"Sounds good to me!" Nevel replied cheerfully.

With that being said, Carly rocketed off into the sky with Nevel clinging onto her back.

"Adios, everyone!" We heard Carly and Nevel shout to us.

"Adios, Carly and Nevel!" Nona, Goomer, Freddie, Sam, Dice, Mr. Preston, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Miles, Frankie, Louie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Max, Billy, and I shouted back, as we waved at Carly and Nevel, as we watched them slowly disappear into the blue sky.

End of Book II.
