Chapter 11

Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans: The Dark Twister

Chapter Eleven: Sandcastles

Nora Thunderman POV

"Hurry up, Nora!" Phoebe ordered as she, Max, Mom, Dad, and Billy were standing at the door way, waiting for me.

It was now 4:00 in the afternoon on the Fourth of July and Taylor, Frankie, Sam, Cat, Ms. Hathaway, Goomer, Dice, and Nona were waiting for us down at the beach to watch the firework show that the Fiesta Hotel was putting on for their American guests. I even heard that the Preston's were going to try and come! Two days ago, we tried to plan to go swimming with dolphins yesterday at the check-in desk at the lobby, but when the employees tried to call the only place that would let us swim with dolphins, they told them that they couldn't fit anymore people, so we made reservations to go tomorrow! So, we had to go to the beach instead.

"Hold on, let me just put my bow on!" I shouted back to Phoebe, as I began to rummage though the top drawer of the big, wooden dresser in the living room. I kept on rummaging through the drawer, until I found my special Independence Day bow.

It's laces had red and white stripes, and at the knot of the bow, it was dark blue with white stars. As soon as I had gotten my bow on, I rushed out the door along with Mom, Dad, Phoebe, Max, and Billy. As soon as we had got to the elevators, Billy immediately pushed the little, white, round "up" button on the silver panel that was right in between of the two elevators.

"Hey, I wanted to press that button, Billy!" I shouted.

"Must this happen every time that we take the elevators?" Dad asked.

"Yeah, have a little respect for your country!" Mom agreed, "It's Independence Day!"

"Respect for our country!?!? Mom, have you even seen my bow!?!?" I asked, as I pointed towards the bow on my head with both of my index fingers, "It looks like an American flag!"

"You know what I mean, Nora."

"Fine! Billy and I will stop fighting over who gets to press the elevator buttons. Isn't that right, Billy?" I asked, as I turned towards Billy.

"Yup!" Billy agreed, as he nodded.

"Ok, good," Dad sighed.

About a minute or two later, we heard a, "Ding!" from the elevator on the left. It's two silver doors glided apart from each other, letting us inside of the elevator. I was the first one who got inside of the elevator, so I got to press the little, white, round button that had a, "1" on it. As soon as I had pressed the button, the elevator doors glided across their tracks and merged together.

"Hey, I wanted to press that!" Billy argued

"Hey, I thought that you guys agreed to stop fighting over who gets to press the elevator buttons," Max stated.

"I thought that we did too," I replied as I shrugged.

"Billy!" Phoebe exclaimed.

"What?" Billy asked, oblivious to what he had just done.

"You and Nora promised that you guys wouldn't argue over who gets to press the elevator buttons!"

"Oops."

"It's ok, kids. We'll let it slide just this one time," Mold told Billy and I, "Right, Hank?"

"Wait, what?" Dad asked, "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention.

"I said, 'we'll let it slide just this one time. Right, Hank?' "

"Uhh.. yeah..."

"You have no idea what happened, do you?"

"No, not at all."

Mom groaned. "You know what? Forget it! Today's Independence Day and we're all going to have a good time with our friends!"

Then all of the sudden, we heard another, "Ding!" and the silver elevator doors glided apart, letting us step inside of the hotel lobby. As soon as we had all gotten out of the elevator, we headed towards the automatic front doors and towards the Fiesta Hotel Beach.

"Oh there you guys are!" Taylor exclaimed, as soon as we had found her, Ms. Hathaway, Frankie, Sam, Cat, Dice, Nona, and Goomer. They were all sitting on several towels, waiting for the show to start, which was going to be at 8:00.

"Hey, guys!" Phoebe greeted everybody, "Are the Preston's here yet?"

"No," Taylor answered.

"They are still coming, right?"

"Oh, of course! They promised that they would come! They're just probably looking for some people to possess."

"Oh."

"Here, sit next to me!" Taylor told Phoebe as she patted the sand next to her towel.

"Sure!"
Phoebe then turned towards Mom.

Mom, can I please have a towel?"

"Sure, sweetie!" Mom agreed, as she began to dig into the huge, yellow beach bag that she had brought along with her.

A couple of seconds later, Mom pulled out a huge, turquoise towel out of her huge, yellow beach bag, then handed it to Phoebe. As soon as Phoebe had gotten the towel, she laid it out neatly next to Taylor's purple towel.

As soon as Phoebe had got settled down, I asked, "Billy, do you want to build a huge sandcastle?"
"Sure!" Billy cheerfully agreed.

Billy and I then turned towards Mom and Dad.

"Mom, Dad, can we please have some shovels and buckets?" I asked, "Billy and I want to build a huge sandcastle!"

"Uh-huh!" Billy agreed, as he nodded.

"Ok, I bought some buckets and shovels from the gift shop," Dad told us, "I packed them in my huge, blue beach bag!"

Dad then handed Billy and I his huge, blue beach bag.

"Thanks, Dad!" Billy and I thanked Dad, as we began to search through the beach bag. In the beach bag, Billy and I found six small shovels and two small buckets.

"This will just have to do for now," I stated, as I plopped myself down on the sand.

"Yeah, I guess so," Billy replied, as he plopped himself down next to me.

As soon as we had both sat down in the sand, we began to dig a hole and fill up the buckets of sand. We each had a bucket. Billy's bucket was red and mine was blue. We also each had a shovel. Billy's shovel was orange and mine was green. I was the first one to fill up my bucket. I gently began to pat the sand in my bucket with the back of my shovel. Then, I began to smooth the sand out. As soon as I was done with that, I quickly flipped my bucket over. After a couple of seconds of holding the bucket in place, I gently lifted it up off of the sand. Standing right in front of me, there was a perfect sandcastle.

"Nora, where should I put my sandcastle?" Billy asked me as he lifted up his red bucket, which was full of sand.

"Here, let me see that," I told Billy, as I ripped his bucket out of his hands, "I have an idea!"

"What's your idea?"

"You'll see, Billy! You'll see!"

I then quickly flipped Billy's bucket over and placed it right next to mine. After a couple of seconds of holding Billy's bucket in place, I gently lifted it up off of the sand. Standing right in front of us, there were two perfect sandcastles.

"I still don't see where you're going with this, but I'll keep on building sandcastles!" Billy told me.

"Trust me, Billy. You're gonna see where I'm going with this in a minute!" I told him.

"Oh, ok!"

Billy and I then continued to dig out sand in the hole that we had created. About three minutes later, I was ready to flip my bucket over again. When I did, I placed my bucket down right next to Billy's sandcastle, then gently lifted it up.

"Ohh, I see what you're trying do to now!" Billy exclaimed, as he tried to flip his bucket over on top of his sandcastle and my new sandcastle.

"Wait, Billy. The sandcastle isn't sturdy enough to make any additions to it just yet."

"Oh, it's not?"

"No, if I hadn't stopped you from dumping that sand onto where you were just about to dump it, sand would of fell in between the gap between the two sandcastles."

"So, what do we have to do to make it sturdy?"

"Well first, we would have to fill in the gaps with sand and pat it in."

"Oh, ok!" Billy stated, as he began to dig sand out of our hole with his hand.

With the sand, Billy began to fill in the gaps between the sandcastles. I started to do the same. As soon as Billy and I were done filling in the gaps with sand, Billy immediately lifted his bucket up, which was already filled up with sand.

"Not yet, Billy!" I ordered.

"Ok. What do we have to do now?" Billy asked me, as he put his bucket back down.

"Next, we need to make the sandcastle wider, so that it will be easier for us to flip the buckets over on top of the sandcastle and not miss!"

"Ok!" Billy cheerfully agreed, as he dug out even more sand out of our hole.

As soon as we were finished with making the sandcastle wider, once again, Billy lifted up his bucket. But as soon as he did, he looked at me, asking if it was alright for him to flip it over on top of our sandcastle. I nodded. As soon as we had flipped over our buckets twice on top of our sandcastle, Billy and I began to fill in the gaps. Then, we made it wider. Finally, we flipped over one more bucket that was filled of sand on top of our sandcastle, and we were done. Billy and I both stood up to admire our masterpiece.

Just as we were about to turn around and go show everybody it, I heard someone from behind us say quietly, "That is sure a nice hole that you guys have there."

Billy and I both turned around to find Max standing right in front of us.

"It sure would be a shame if someone were to fall in it!" Max finished.

I grinned. I knew exactly where Max was going with what he was saying.

"Huh?" Billy asked in confusion, as he scrunched up his nose.

"Who wants to help me make that hole even bigger, then cover it up with a huge towel, then cover up the towel with sand?" Max asked Billy and I.

So, I was correct! I did know where Max was going with what he was saying!

"I love helping people!" Billy shouted with joy, as he began to jump up and down.

Max and I both looked at each other. Seriously, how stupid is Billy exactly!?!?

"Ok, we're in!" I agreed, "But let's get Sam and Frankie to help us. With their help, we could make the hole deeper at a much faster rate."

"Yeah, you're right, Nora. Let's go ask them of they want to help!"

"Ok! S-" Billy began before I could cover up his mouth.

"Billy, don't shout out to them!" I whispered, "If you do that, you're going to make it more obvious that we're doing something to the others! Just do this!"

I then began to stare at Sam, who was lying down on her black beach towel.
"Nora, what are you doing?" Billy asked me.

"Staring at Sam."

"Umm, ok."

"Trust me, Billy. This always works!"

"Yeah, it really does!" Max agreed, as he began to stare at Sam with me.

Billy just shrugged, then joined Max and I.

After a few seconds of staring at Sam, she sat straight up and looked at us.

"Wow! How did she know that we were staring at her!?!?" Billy asked in shock.

"Well, you know that feeling that you get that someone is staring at you?" Max asked Billy.

Billy thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No."

"Well, she had that feeling."

"Oh."

I then began to motion towards Sam for her to come over to us. Max and Billy started to do the same.

"What do you guys want?" Sam groaned.

"Just come over here," I mouthed, as I began to motion Sam over towards us.

"Can't you guys come over to me?"

Max, Billy, and I shook our heads as we continued to motion Sam over to us. Sam just sighed, then got up and walked over to us.

"Ugghhh! What do you guys want?" Sam groaned.

"How would you like to help us make that hole deeper, then cover a huge towel over it, then cover the towel up in sand?" Max whispered to Sam.

"So, somebody can fall into it?"

Max grinned. "Exactly."

"Well, I am starting to get bored, so sure! Sounds like fun!"

Max grinned again. "Great! Now all we have to do is get Frankie on board with us!"

Max, Billy, and I then began to stare at Frankie, who was burying herself in sand.

"W-what are you guys doing?" Sam asked us.
"Staring at Frankie," Billy answered.

Sam grinned. "Oh, ok. I see where you guys are going with this!"

Sam then began to stare at Frankie with Max, Billy, and I.

About a couple of seconds later, Frankie turned her head and looked directly at us.

"Why were you guys staring at me!?!?" Frankie asked, confused.

Sam, Billy, Max, and I then began to motion Frankie towards us.

"What do you guys want?"
"Just come over here," I mouthed, as I continued to motion Frankie towards us.

"Fine," Frankie groaned, as she stood up.

I saw trillions of grains of sand fly off Frankie's body as she stood up, though she still had millions of grains of sand still stuck to her.

"What do you guys want," Frankie repeated when she finally came over to Billy, Max, Sam, and I.

"Do you want to help us dig our hole even deeper, then cover it up with a huge beach towel, then cover up the towel with sand?" Max whispered to Frankie.

"Sounds like a prank! I love it! I'm in!" Frankie exclaimed.

Max grinned once more. "Glad to have you all on board. Anyways, here's the plan. First, we are going to dig the hole even deeper with the shovels that my dad bought. Nora, Billy, there are more shovels, right?"

Billy and I both nodded.

"Yeah, there's four more of them," Billy told Max.

"Ok, good. Then, we are going to dump any sand that we dig out into the buckets that my dad bought. Once the buckets are full, we will then flip them over, to make it look like we are building even more sandcastles! Once the hole is deep enough, we will then cover it up with one of our towels. Once we do that, we are going to then knock the sandcastles over and cover up the towel up with their sand, making it look like that we were just making and destroying them for fun."

Sam, Frankie, Billy, and I just nodded.

"Nora, Billy, why don't you get us three more shovels out of Dad's beach bag?" Max asked us.

Billy and I just nodded as we headed towards Dad's beach bag, which was right next to the sandcastle that we had made. As soon as we had gotten the three shovels, Billy and I handed them out to Max, Frankie, and Sam.

Just as we had started to make our hole deeper and fill our buckets up with sand, we heard a boy say, "Oh, there you guys are!"

We all turned around to see a man with brown hair and blue eyes, a boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, and an even younger boy with blonde hair and blue eyes standing in front of us in swim trunks.

"That must be Mr. Preston, Louie, and Miles!" I thought to myself.

Everybody sat straight up from where they were laying down on their towels in shock. When they all realized that it was just Mr. Preston, Louie, and Miles, they sighed in relief.

"Thank goodness, it's just you guys!" Taylor sighed.

"Yeah, you guys scared me!" Phoebe agreed, "I thought that you guys were a bunch of strangers."

Miles put his head down and sighed. "I'm sorry that it has to be this way. I wish that we could look the same to you guys every time we try to see you, but we just can't. It really stinks how you guys don't know that it's just us at first. I wish that you guys could see what we really look like, but you guys can't see us, unless we possess people."

"Don't be sad, Miles!" Cat told him, "That doesn't matter; we'll get used to seeing you guys in different bodies every time that we see you eventually. It doesn't matter that you guys are 'pranksters'! What really matters is our friendship!"

"You know what? You're right, Cat! I shouldn't be upset! Say, who wants to go in the water with me?"

Dice, Goomer, Nona, Cat, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Louie, Mom, Dad, and Phoebe all looked at each other, then shrugged.

"Alright," they all agreed, as they headed towards the ocean.

"Do you guys want to come in the water with us?" Dice asked, as he pointed towards Frankie, Sam, Billy, Max, and I.

"Ummm, no thanks," Billy answered.

"Why not?"

Not knowing what to say, Billy turned to look at Max, Sam, Frankie, and I.

"We're building sandcastles, that's why!" Max answered.

Dice shrugged, then followed Phoebe, Mom, Dad, Cat, Nona, Goomer, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Louie, and Miles into the ocean. "Oh, ok then."

As soon as everybody had gotten into the ocean, Sam, Frankie, Billy, Max, and I started to dig again. Every time that we would fill up a bucket with sand, we would just dump it over, not even caring if the sandcastle stood up or not.

"What are you guys doing?" We heard somebody ask us.

Sam, Frankie, Billy, Max, and I all got startled and jumped. We then turned around to see a boy standing in front of us. It was Louie.

"Louie, what are you doing here?" Frankie asked Louie, "I thought that you were going in the ocean with everybody else!"

"Well, I was, until I decided to see what you guys were doing over here," Louie told Frankie.

"Oh, we're just building sandcastles, Louie!" Frankie lied

Well, I guess that you really couldn't say that Frankie was lying. I mean, we really were building sandcastles, but we're only doing it to make it look like that we're not up to a prank. So I guess that you could say that Frankie's lying, while not really lying. I don't know; it's confusing.

"Ok, I can see you, Nora, and Billy building sandcastles, but Sam and Max!?!? They're too old to build sandcastles!"

"Don't be ridiculous, Louie!" Max said, seeming a bit nervous, "You can never be too old to build sandcastles!"

"Yeah, Max is right!" Sam agreed, "We're not too old to be building sandcastles! I mean parents do it all of the time!"

"Yeah, for their children!" Louie stated, "Now, tell me what you guys are really up to."

"Louie, we told you that we're building sandcastles," I stated, "Do we have to tell you it again?"

"Are you guys sure that you're just building sandcastles?"

"Well, actually, we're-" Billy began before I covered up his mouth with my hand.

"What he was going to say was that we're going to build a gate of sandcastles around the sandcastle that we made earlier," I lied, "Right, Billy?"

"Mmmmhhhmmm..."

I then took my hand off of Billy's mouth. Billy took a huge gasp of air.

"Are you guys sure? You guys aren't plotting any pranks? No schemes?" Louie asked us.

"No pranks. No schemes," I lied, as I shook my head.

Louie grinned. "Are you guys sure about that?"

"Louie, how many times do we have to tell you that we're just building sandcastles?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, it's starting to get annoying," Max agreed.

"So, you guys are just building sandcastles?" Louie asked us, "You guys aren't doing anything else?"

"No, Louie!" Frankie lied, getting a bit annoyed with Louie.

Louie raised one eyebrow. "You guys are going to cover that hole up with a huge towel, once you guys are done making it deeper, then you are going to cover the towel up with sand, so that somebody can fall into it, aren't you?"

Frankie, Max, Sam, Billy, and I sighed, then nodded.

"And you guys are just building sandcastles to make it look like you aren't up to no good, aren't you?"
Frankie, Max, Sam, Billy, and I nodded once more.

"I knew it!" Louie exclaimed with joy, as he began to jump up and down, "Why didn't you guys just tell me the truth? I love to prank people; I'll help!"

All of our eyes widened.

"Really!?!?" We asked Louie with excitement.

Louie nodded as he sat down in the sand right next to Frankie. "That's great!" Max replied, "Billy, Nora, can you please go fetch Louie our last shovel?"

"Ok," Billy and I agreed, as we began to dig into Dad's beach bag again.

As soon as Billy and I had found the last shovel that Dad had bought at the gift shop, we handed it to Louie. The six of us then began to make the hole even deeper.

With the six of us digging in the hole, about an hour later, the hole was about five feet deep and five feet wide. Since Louie, Billy, Frankie, and I weren't five feet tall yet, we had to create little footsteps, so that we could easily climb out of the hole.

"Max, I think that this is deep enough," I stated, "I think that we can start to cover our hole up now."
"No, it's not," Max answered, "We need to make it about a foot deeper."

"A foot deeper!?!? Max, we're only trying to pull off a prank, not a murder attempt!"

"Relax, Nora. We'll just pull whoever falls into the hole out of it, once they fall in. And besides, we built those little sand steps."

"Yeah, but once they come crashing down into the holes, they are going to destroy the steps!"

Max thought for a moment. "That is true. Well, if you're tired of digging, you can take a break if you want to. You've already helped us out a lot."

"You know what, Max? I am tired of digging! I think that I am going to take a break!" I stated, as I began to climb out of the hole.

As soon as I got out of the hole, I plopped myself down in the sand. I was exhausted from all of that digging with that little green shovel!

"Hey, Nora!" Max shouted.

"Uggghh! What do you want?" I groaned.

"While you're up there, can you at least flip over these buckets for us?"

"Fine!" I groaned, as I got on my hands and knees, "Hand me the buckets!"

Max then handed me the blue bucket first. I quickly flipped over the bucket and let it sit for a second before I gently lifted it up. The sandcastle came towering down like a tower of Jenga blocks, but I really didn't care about it. I then reached my hand down into the hole. Max immediately handed me the red bucket. I quickly flipped over the bucket, then lifted it up. Same thing; the sandcastle came towering down. But who cares if our sandcastles get destroyed or not? We were only building them as a distraction.
About a half hour later, our hole was finally at Max's requirements. As soon as I had helped everybody climb out of the hole, we quickly covered up the hole with one of the beach towels that Mom had packed for us in her beach bag. As if we were bulldozers, we immediately started to knock down the all of the sandcastles that we had built; all except the one that Billy and I had built together. We started to cover the beach towel with the sand from our destroyed sandcastles. I then spotted that Mom, Dad, Phoebe, Mr. Preston, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Miles, Nona, Goomer, Cat, and Dice were starting to head back in. I looked down at the blue beach towel. It was only half way covered.

"HURRY UP, THEY'RE COMING BACK IN!!!" I announced, as I began to cover up towel in sand ten times faster than I was before.

"NO, THEY CAN'T BE!!!" Max shouted as, he turned his head towards the ocean, "FASTER EVERYBODY, FASTER!!! HURRY UP BEFORE WE GET CAUGHT!!!"

Getting panicky, we started to just dump sand all over the towel. As soon as we had gotten the towel all covered up in sand, everybody else had just reached the shore. Max, Sam, Billy, Frankie, Louie, and I sighed in relief as we all sat down in the sand.

"Hey, what happened to your sandcastles?" Goomer asked.

Sam, Billy, Frankie, Max, Louie, and I gulped. Goomer had obviously been watching us.

"Oh, we just knocked them down," Louie told Goomer.

"Ohhh, so you guys were playing bulldozer!?!?"

"Yeah, that's exactly what we were doing. Right guys!?!?"

Sam, Max, Frankie, Billy, and I all nodded in agreement.

"Ooh, I love playing bulldozer!" Goomer announced, as he ran towards the sandcastle that Billy and I had built, which was right in front of the hole that we had dug and covered up.

"GOOMER, NO!!!" Max screamed.

But, it was too late; Goomer had already fell into our hole. I watched as the towel and sand caved into the hole as Goomer fell into it. "Owie!" Goomer exclaimed as he landed in the hole with a loud, "THUD!" Sam, Frankie, Louie, Billy, and I looked at Max.

"What!?!?" Max asked us, "I wanted Phoebe to fall in there!"

Phoebe raised one eyebrow. "Really, Max? You thought that I was going to fall into your little hole?"

Max thought for a moment. "Well, I wanted you to!"

"I can't believe what you guys just did! You guys just pranked one of our friends on our vacation!"

Max raised one eyebrows. "Really? You seriously can't believe that we pranked one of our friends on our vacation?"

"Who am I kidding!?!? I totally believe it!"

"Yeah, Frankie," Ms. Hathaway agreed, "A prank? On vacation?"

"I'm sorry, Mom," Frankie apologized, "It sounded like a lot of fun at the time."

"What can I say, Michelle?" Louie asked, "We're pranksters."

"And as for you, young man," Mr. Preston began, "I know that you're used to pranking people in Michelle's bakery, but we're in Mexico. You don't want to ruin our vacation for the rest of us, now do you?"

Louie sighed. "I guess not."

"Umm, don't you guys think that we should help Goomer out of the hole?" Nona asked us.

"Nah, it's ok. I got it," Goomer told Nona, as he pulled himself out of the hole.

Since Goomer is very tall; taller than six feet, he didn't have to use the sand steps that we had built. The stairs probably got destroyed when Goomer fell into the hole, anyways.

"Goomer, are you ok?" Cat asked as soon, as Goomer had pulled himself out of the hole.

"I think so...," Goomer replied.

"Ok, good."

Max, Frankie, Louie, Billy, Sam, and I started to hysterically laugh at Goomer.

"That's not funny!" Cat hissed, "You guys could of really hurt Goomer with your prank!"
"I don't even know what we're laughing about!"

Billy stated, "I'm just laughing because they're laughing."

"We're laughing about Goomer falling into our trap, Billy!" I stated.
"Oh, that was pretty funny!"

"No it wasn't!" Cat shouted.

"Come on, Cat! You have to admit that that was pretty hilarious!" Sam stated, "And besides, Goomer already told you that he was ok!"

"Well, that was pretty funny!"

"See what we mean!?!?" Louie asked.

"Louie, Cat's right; Goomer could of got hurt," Miles stated, "I think that you guys all owe him an apology."

Sam, Frankie, Louie, Max, Billy, and I looked at each other, then back at Goomer.

"We're sorry, Goomer," we apologized, "We shouldn't of pranked you."

"Oh, it's ok!" Goomer forgave us, "It didn't hurt that much; only a little bit."

"Oh, ok good," Sam, Max, Billy, Frankie, Louie and I sighed with relief.

"Are we in trouble?" Billy asked as he turned towards Mom and Dad.

"Seriously, Billy?" I whispered.

"Oh, you guys are in big trouble," Dad stated, "No swimming with dolphins for you guys tomorrow."

"WHAT!?!?" Max, Billy, and I cried.

"You guys heard me. You can't swim with the dolphins with us tomorrow!"

"PLEASE, DAD! ANYTHING, BUT THAT!!!" I begged, "I'VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO US!!!"

"Come on, Hank. Loosen up a bit," Mom told Dad, "We're on vacation."

Dad sighed. "Fine. I'll go easy on you guys with your punishment."

"Yes! Thank you!" Max thanked them.

"No going on any of your devices for the rest of our vacation."

"WHAT!?!?"

"You heard me."

"But, you can't do this to me!"

"It's either no devices or no swimming with dolphins."

"No devices it is then!"

"Same thing goes for you, Frankie," Ms. Hathaway stated.

"Awww!" Frankie moaned.

"That'll teach you kids not to prank anyone on vacation!"

"Yeah right," I heard Max mumble under his breath.

"What was that, Max?" Mom asked.

"NOTHING!"

Louie then turned towards Mr. Preston.

"Alright, Dad," he sighed, "Lay it on me."

Mr. Preston thought for a moment. "No using your 'pranking' powers for the rest of the vacation."

"WHAT!?!?"

"You heard me, Louie. No using your 'pranking' powers for the rest of the vacation."

"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS, DAD!!!"

"Oh, I am being serious, Louie."

"BUT, WHAT IF WE WANT TO SEE TAYLOR, FRANKIE, MICHELLE AND THEIR FRIENDS, LIKE WE DID TODAY!?!?"

Mr. Preston thought for a moment. "Well, I could always help you out."

"AWW, COME ON! I JUST LEARNED HOW TO DO THAT! NOW I HAVE TO GO BACK TO YOU DOING IT FOR ME, LIKE I'M A LITTLE KID!"

"Louie, relax," Miles told his brother, "It's only for the rest of the vacation."

"WELL, THAT'S EASY FOR YOU TO SAY, MILES! YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE THE ONLY 'PRANKSTER' WHO CAN'T USE THEIR 'PRANKING' POWERS IN A WHOLE ENTIRE HOTEL FULL OF 'PRANKSTERS'!"

Miles thought for a moment. "Well, that's true."

"Ha, ha!" Sam laughed, making fun of Max, Billy, Frankie, Louie, and I, "You guys all got punished and I didn't!"

"Lucky," Max, Frankie, Louie, Billy, and I muttered under our breaths.

"Says who?" Nona asked, "I am the oldest adult here; the adult whose in charge of you, and I say that you can't go on any of your devices for the rest of the vacation also!"

"WHAT!?!?"

"Ha, ha!" Max, Billy, Frankie, Louie, and I laughed, making fun of Sam.

"HEY, IT'S NOT FUNNY!"

"Oh, yes it is, Sam," Max stated.

"I'm hungry," Billy stated, stopping the fight that was just about to start between Max and Sam.

"Yeah, me too," Mom, Dad, Nona, Goomer, Dice, Mr. Preston, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Phoebe, Max, Miles, Louie, Sam, Cat, and I agreed.

"Do you guys want to go back to the hotel and eat?" Mom asked us.

We all nodded.

"Oh, ok. Let's go then!" Mom announced, as we started to head back towards the hotel to eat dinner.

By the time that we had returned to the beach, it was 7:45. We all got comfortable and sat down on our towels in the sand and waited for the firework show to start. About fifteen minutes later, I saw a light traveling up the sky. I turned my head to face the ocean. The light was the first firework.

"The show is starting, guys!" I told everyone.

As soon as everyone had turned their heads to face the ocean, the fire work went off, exploding in dozens of red sparks. One after another, the fireworks exploded in front of our amazed eyes.

"This firework show is just as good as the ones back at home!" I thought to myself.

Before I knew it, dozens of fireworks were exploding in the sky at a once. It was the finale. Finally, a huge firework exploded in the sky, leaving sparks of red, white, and blue in the shape of an American flag. The show was over. We all yawned and stretched, then got up. We started to pack up our things. We then started to head back to our hotel rooms. We were done for the night.
