Chapter Twenty-Two

Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans: Back to the Past

Chapter Twenty-Two: Getting a Call From Your Favorite Cousin
Blobbin POV

"Rrrrriiiiinnnngggg!" The phone went off, waking me up form my slumber. I slowly removed my golden sleep mask off as I sat up in my mostly-green bed that had money signs printed all over it.

"Woof, ruff, woof, ruff, ruff!" My pet dog, Doggin, sang as he ran into my bedroom.

Before I knew it, Doggin leapt into the air and landed right on top of my bed. I laughed as I reached over to pet him with one hand and reached over for the ringing phone on my golden nightstand with the other.

"It's ok, Doggin!" I cooed as I pet his white and brown fur, "It's just the phone! You don't need to protect me from it!"

Doggin started to lick my hand with his long, pink, slobbery tongue as I pressed the answer button on my golden house phone.

"Hello, this is Blobbin speaking!" I answered as I brought the phone up to my ear.

"Blobbin!" A male voice that I immediately recognized as my cousin Hank cried, "What's up?"

"Oh, nothing. I just woke up. So, how's my favorite cousin doing?"

"Well, my friends, family, and I just got ourselves out of a huge mess and defeated a bunch of villains for good, so I'd say that I've been doing pretty great! So, how's my favorite cousin doing?"

"Wow, that's great, Hank! And I've been doing great too, thanks for asking. Yesterday, I made a million dollars!"

"Hey, I thought that you were retired?"

    "I am retired, Hank."

"Then how the heck did you make that much money?"

"Well, yesterday, I saw this stray dog, so I decided to bring him to the police station to see if he was a missing dog. Turns out that he was and belonged to a really rich family. Well, not as rich as me of course! Anyways, for returning their dog to them, the family decided to give me a million dollars."

"That was really nice of you to do, Blobbin. Some lazy people would've just ignored the stray dog. For some people, it wouldn't of even crossed their minds that that dog might belong to someone. They might've just thought that it never had any owners."

"Yeah, some people just don't think about anybody but themselves, am I right?"

"Yeah, and it's kind of sad. Anyways, what are you going to do with all of that money?"

"I don't know. Maybe I'll donate it to charity since I have lots of money already and don't really need it. Or maybe I'll use it to buy a bunch of food and hire people to wander the streets and give it to all of the homeless people they see."

"Aw, that would be a really nice gesture. Anyways, speaking of nice gestures, would you mind doing one huge one for me?"

"Of course I will! After all, you are my favorite cousin!"

    "Thank you so much!"

"No need to thank me! Alright, so what is it that you need for me to do?"

"Well, in celebration of my friends, family, and I defeating our enemies once in for all, I was wondering if I could throw a huge party in your mansion?"

"Of course you can! How many people will be attending this party?"

Hank paused for a second. "I'm not really too sure because my friends are probably going to want to invite some of their other friends and some of their family members, but I'd say around a hundred-to-one-hundred-fifty people. Maybe even two-hundred."

"Really? You know that you could invite more people than that if you would like, Hank. I mean, my mansion is HUGE!!!"

"Thanks, Blobbin, but I really don't wanna invite any more people than that and I don't think that my friends or family want to either. It would feel weird seeing lots of people that I don't even know at a party where we would be celebrating something that I did."

"Ok, I gotcha. Anyways, since you're my favorite cousin, how about I save you the trouble of buying all the food, party favors, and such by buying them myself?"

"Really? You'd do that for me?"

    "Of course I would!"

    "Oh, thank you so much!"

"And all you'll have to do is send out the invitations! Do you still remember the address to my mansion?"

"It's 284 Golden Terrance in Metroburg, California, right?"

    "Yep, that's it!"

    "Ok, good."

"Alright, so what kind of activities will be going on at this party?"

Hank paused again. "How about since you're the party planner, you surprise me?"

"Sounds like a plan. And don't worry, Hank! I won't let you down! I'm make sure that this will be the best party that you, your friends, and family have ever been to!"

    "Thank you so much, Blobbin!"

"You're welcome, Hank! And one what day will this part be on?"

Hank paused for another moment. "How does this Saturday sound?"

    "May 9th?"

    "Yep."

"Alright, sounds perfect! And what time will it begin at?"

Hank paused once more. "How does 7:00 at night sound?"

    "Sounds great!"

"Once again, thank you so much for doing this for me, Blobbin! Everyone's going to be so excited once they find out about this party!"

"Aw, you don't have to thank me. It's the least that I can do for you for being such a great cousin to me!"

"Aw, thanks! You're a great cousin too, Blobbin!"

"Thanks! So, anyways, do you mind me asking you what happened with you, your friends, your family, and your enemies?"

    "It's a long story."

"It's ok. When you're rich like me, you've got time."

"Ok, then. Do you mind if I start from the very beginning when I first met my friends?"

"Not at all! Like I said, I've got time!"

With that being said, Hank began to tell me the story of how he and his family met all of his friends and all of the adventures that they went through to stop their enemies' evil plans. Everything that Hank told me was so interesting that he kept me hanging onto every word he said and I kept on asking, "so, what happened after that?", "what happened next?", or, "what did you do after that?" Once Hank was done telling me everything, I applauded. A group of friends like that who stick together through thick and thin no matter how tough things seem deserve an award!

"Hank, those friends that you have- never let go of them," I began, "Always stay in touch no matter how far away you guys are from one another because friends who stay with you like that no matter how hard things get are true friends. You're really lucky, Hank. Some people are only able to find a few true friends. Some are able to find none. But you- you found a whole treasure chest full of them!"

    "Yeah, I guess I am pretty lucky, aren't I?"

"You're just as lucky as your friends are to have a friend like you who I know will always look out for them no matter what!"

    "Aw, thank you, Blobbin!"

    "You're welcome!"

"Anways, could you do me another huge favor?"

"Sure, cousin! What do you need?"

"Well, some of them live really far away from California; all-the-way-on-the-east-coast kind of far. So, I was wondering if you could purchase plane tickets for some of them?"

"Of course I can! How many do you need."

"Well, I'm not too sure since some of them might want to bring their friends and family. You know what, Blobbin, I'll have to call you back in a few hours and tell you since most of them are still kids and have school today."

"Alrighty then. Bye, Hank! Talk to you later!"

"Bye, Blobbin! Talk to you later!"

With that being said, we both hang up on each other.

"Alright, Doggin, what could I do to make this party really awesome?" I asked my dog as I put the phone back on my nightstand.

Since Doggin is a dog and cannot understand English, with the exception of a few phrases, he just cocked his head at me and perked his ears up. I just giggled and pet him. All of the sudden, a brilliant idea for the party hit me.

"Ooh, that's a great idea, Blobbin!" I told myself.

I reached my hand over my nightstand and picked my phone back up. I immediately began to dial the number.

A/N: Hey, guys! Sorry that this chapter is shorter than usual! Anyways, I'm back from my vacation. Yep, I just got back yesterday! Although I had a great time, I'm glad to be home so I can go back to going on Wattpad as much as I usually do. Also, I'm sorry to have to say this, but the next chapter will most likely be the last one, which means that the Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans Series is coming to an end soon. 😭😭😭😭 But, don't worry, I'm going to make sure that the next chapter will be awesome, so the Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans will go out with a bang! But, I have no idea when I'll be updating next week because I'm going back to school on the 8th and I really want to do something before I go back. Also, I don't know how much homework I'm going to go back. But, good news is that some things in my school are going to look brand new because they did some renovations over the summer! Yay! 😀 Also, I just found out that all of my friends have the same home room teacher as me! Double yay! 😃 But don't worry, I'll make sure that I update by next Saturday or Sunday. Have a good morning/afternoon/ night, everybody! 😊
