Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thumdermans: Back to the Past

Chapter Six: What Are You Doing Here?
Freddie Benson POV

"Knock, knock, knock!" I sat straight up in my bed. I glanced over at the digital clock that was sitting on top of the wooden nightstand that was to the right of my bed. It was now 5:10 in the morning here in Seattle and somebody was at the door. I immediately sprang out of bed, dashed out of my bedroom, ran down the wooden stairs, raced into the living room, and towards the door. I mean, if somebody is knocking on my door this early, it must be about something important, right? I swung the brown door open. Standing right in front of me, were my friends, Max Russo, Alex, Justin, Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Carly, Frankie, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Nora, Billy, Max Thunderman, Phoebe, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Piper, Charlotte, Jasper, Henry, and Captain Man. There was also a boy, an even older boy, and a man. I assumed that the man was Mr. Preston, the younger boy was Louie, and that they older boy was Miles.

"Max Russo, Alex, Justin, Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Carly, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Nora, Billy, Max Thunderman, Phoebe, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Piper, Charlotte, Jasper, Henry, and Captain Man?" I asked, confused, "What are you doing here? It's been months since I've seen you all!"

"Oh, thank goodness!" Carly sighed as she gave me a huge hug, "You remember!"

I gave Carly a confused look. "Remember what?"

"Remember us. You remember what really happened!"

"What are you talking about? Why wouldn't I remember?"

Before anybody could answer me, we heard footsteps. We all turned around to see my mom walk into the room with her pink, polka-dot pajamas on.

"Freddie, who are all of these people?" Mom asked me in a stern tone.

"Hi, Mrs. Benson!" Carly greeted my mom as she waved at her.

"Hi, Carly," Mom replied as she gave her a small wave back, "Who's your friends?"

Before any of us could answer, we heard someone shout, "Now, what is going on in here?"

We all turned around to see T-Bo storming into the living room with his dark-blue onesie on.

"It's a little after 5:00 in the morning and I am trying to get some sleep before I have to go back to the Groovy Smoothie!"

"Sorry to disrupt your slumber, sir," Max Thunderman apologized, lowering his head in shame.

"Why is Max using big words like that?" I thought to myself, "And why is he actually being polite?"

All of the sudden, the front door to the apartment across the hall from Mom, T-Bo's, and mine swung right open. Standing right in front of us, was Spencer who was wearing his green and yellow pajamas and his pink bunny slippers.

"Spencer!" Carly cried as she ran over to her older half-brother and clung onto him, "Please tell me that you remember!"

"Remember what, Carly?" Spencer asked, sounding just as confused as I was.

Spencer craned his neck so he could see the rest of us, then pointed at us. "Hey, who are they?"

"Great!" Miles mumbled sarcastically, "All we need is another person who forgets!"

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, still confused, "Forgets what?"

Phoebe then turned towards me, put both of her hands on my shoulders, and looked me right in my eyes. "Freddie, where's Gibby?"

"At his house, I would suppose. Why?"

"Call him and tell him to come over here."

"Why? What's going on? What so you need him for? Do you need Spencer and me for something too?"

That's when Henry approached me. Phoebe let go of me and took a couple of steps back. We both looked at Henry to hear what he had to say.

"Freddie, something very serious is happening right now," he began, "I don't know why, but something has happened to cause the majority of us to forget that we all were ever friends and what had happened to us while we were friends. So far, You, Phoebe, Carly, Alex, Miles, and I are the only few who remember."

"And we are trying to gather everyone up to see who remembers," Phoebe added.

"And to inform those who have forgotten about what they do not remember," Alex chimed in.

I gasped. "Wh-why? Wh-what caused a-all of th-this?"

"We don't know what happened exactly, but we are assuming that all of our enemies are behind it," Miles explained.

I felt a knot in my stomach form. "All of our enemies?"

"Well, in order to cause something like this to happen, yes."

"I'll go call Gibby."

That's when I dashed out of the living room, up the stairs, into my room, and to my wooden dresser, which my blue Pear Phone was laying on top of. I immediately picked it up, turned it on, and dialed Gibby's cell phone number.

"Hello?" He finally answered, sounding exhausted.

"Gibby, it's me Freddie!" I said into my phone.

"Freddie? Why are you calling me this early?"

"Gibby, I need you to come over to my apartment."

"Why? What happened?"

"I'm not really too sure, but it's serious. Come over here and Carly, Phoebe, Alex, Henry, and Miles will explain it to you."

"Who's Phoebe, Alex, Henry, and Miles? Are they your new friends or something like that?"

"Great, he doesn't remember either!" I thought to myself.

I sighed into the phone. "Just come over here, ok?"

"Ok! Just give me some time to change. I'll be there in about twenty-twenty-five minutes, ok?"

"Ok, good! See you when you get here!"

"Ok, bye!"

"Bye!" I replied as I hung my phone up.

I raced out of my bedroom, down the stairs, into the living room, and back into the hallway where Piper, Charlotte, Jasper, Henry, Captain Man, Nora, Billy, Max Thunderman, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Carly, Mom, Spencer, T-Bo, Max Russo, Alex, Justin, and Mr. and Mrs. Russo were.

"So, did he answer?" Taylor asked me.

"Yeah, he answered," I replied.

"And what did he say?" Justin questioned.

"He said that he's coming. He said that he'll be here in about twenty-to-twenty-five minutes."

"Oh ok, good," Everyone, except for Mom, Spencer, and T-Bo, sighed out of relief.

"Hey, everyone!" We all heard someone shout through the hallways about twenty minutes later.

We all craned our necks to see Gibby walking towards us.

"Gibby!" Carly, Phoebe, Alex, Miles, Henry, and I all chirped in unison.

"Hey, guys!" Gibby greeted once he had finally reached us, "So Freddie and Carly's new friends, what was it that you needed to talk to me about that's so important?"

Carly turned her head to look at me. "He doesn't remember either, does he?"

I shook my head. "By the way he is talking, no."

Phoebe, Carly, Henry, Alex, and Miles all groaned.

"What's wrong?" Gibby asked, oblivious, "Why did you all groan like that? Did I do something wrong?"

"No, Gibby, you did nothing-" I began before I was caught out of guard.

All of the sudden, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a glowing, red light. I darted my eyes down at Gibby's left ankle. Wrapped around it, was a metal anklet with a red light.

"Gibby, what's what?" I asked as I pointed at the anklet.

Gibby glanced down at his feet, then raised his left leg so that it was now visible to everyone. "Oh, you mean this?"

"Yeah, what the heck is that?"

"It's the tracking device that the FBI put on me so I can't leave town until they find anyone who might look similar to us who might have spray painted that wall in New York, saying mean things about Thunder Man and Captain Man. Don't you remember the day that they out them on us?"

I was starting to get really worried now. "N-no."

Gibby waked over to me and lifted up my right pajama pant leg just enough so that an anklet that was identical to us was unveiled. "See you have one too?"

"Where and when did I get this? I don't remember having this thing at all!"

"You don't remember the day that the FBI barged into our apartment, saying that someone who looked similar to you was guilty of committing a serious crime, so they put it around you so that you couldn't leave town until they found another person who might of done it?" Mom asked me.

I just shook my head.

"Wait," Miles began, "If Gibby and Freddie have anklets, then doesn't that mean that Carly, Taylor, Frankie, and Max should have them too since there was vandals who looked like them?"

We all glanced down at Carly, Taylor, Frankie, and Max Thunderman's ankles. Taylor, Frankie, and Max got lucky, as they did not have any metal anklets around their ankles. That's when, out of the corner of our eyes, we spotted a red light that was blinking furiously. All eyes darted towards the metal anklet that was wrapped around Carly's ankles.

"Crud!" Mr. Thunderman cried, "We forgot about Carly's anklet over all of the excitement!"

"And the FBI are bound to be here any minute since they installed a tracking device into it and an alarm that goes off whenever Carly leaves Hiddenville!" Mrs. Thunderman added.

"Oh no!" Charlotte cried, "What are we going to do?"

"Luckily, for you guys, I have not lost the skills that I had while I was a super villain," Max Thunderman began.

"While he was a super villain?" I thought to myself, "Since when has Max not been a super villain?"

Max Thunderman kneeled down and began to examine Carly's anklet, which was now blinking at an alarming rate, then looked back up at us. "I think that I might be able to disable it. Does anyone happen to have a toolbox?"

"I have one back in my apartment," Spencer answered.

"Can you please go fetch it for me?"

"Sure!"

"Thank you."

Spencer raced back into his apartment room to grab his toolbox for Max Thunderman. About five minutes later, Spencer came racing back into the hallway with a dark-green, medium-sized toolbox in his hand.

"Here you go!" He said as he handed it to Max Thunderman.

"Thank you," Max thanked Spencer again as he took the toolbox out of his hands and set it down in the floor.

He then detached the latch that was keeping the lid shut from the box. Max Thunderman quickly lifted the lid open and took out a tiny screwdriver. He stuck it in one of the tiny, grey nails in Carly's anklet and began to twist the screwdriver to the left, attempting to take the metal nail out of the device.

"Alright, it should be disabled now," Max Thunderman announced about thirty minutes later as he stared down at Carly's anklet, which was no longer wrapped around her foot or blinking.

"Took ya long enough!" Frankie exclaimed, clearly impatient.

"Sorry, there was a lot of tight screws that I had to unscrew in order for me to get inside of the anklet and hack into it so I could disable the tracking device."

"Oh."

"So, Gibby, Freddie, do you two want me to disable your anklets too?"

"Yeah, since it looks like we still have to visit Sam, Cat, Goomer, Dice, Nona, Tori, Beck, Andre, Jade, Robbie, and Rex, who are all in Los Angeles- which means that we will have leave Seattle," I replied.

"Yeah, and we don't want our anklets to go off all crazy, like Carly's!" Gibby agreed with me.

"Ok, I will start with you first, Freddie, since you are closer to me."

"Ok."

Max Thunderman pushed his toolbox right next to my feet and crawled over to me. He then took out the screwdriver that he had been using before and began working on disabling my anklet.

"Alright, I am done disabling all of the anklets now," Max Thunderman announced about an hour later as he pushed himself back up onto his feet.

The only reason that it took Max an hour to disable my and Gibby's anklets was because it took him the same time that it took to disable Carly's anklet to disable each of ours.

"Alright," Gibby began as he turned towards all of us, "You guys have some explaining to do. Why did you want me to come here and why do we have to visit people in Los Angeles?"

With that being said, Phoebe, Alex, Carly, Miles, Henry, and I explained that story that we remembered to Spencer and Gibby, who do not remember it correctly, and to Mom and T-Bo, who were not there for it at all.

"Ok, I might be crazy for saying this, but I believe you guys," Spencer told us, "I mean, it's not like this is a prank or anything like that. I mean, who would be crazy enough to go all the way to Seattle just to pull of a prank? I might be the prank king, but I would never travel more than twenty-five miles to pull a prank. I mean, Carly, weren't you just in Nevada?"

"Yeah," Carly responded.

"And isn't that like.... A seventeen-hour drive."

"I believe so, but we didn't get here by car."

"Did you fly over here then?"

"No, we teleported."

"Normally, I would laugh at something like that, but after hearing your story, I believe you," Gibby stated, "I agree with you, Spencer. I mean, if they went as far as teleporting here, then why would they be lying?"

"Alright, so what is it that you guys remember?" I asked, "How did Carly, Gibby, and I end up in those anklets exactly?"

With that being said, that is when everybody, except for Phoebe, Carly, Miles, Henry, Alex, Mom, and T-Bo, told me the story that they remembered. From listening to them, I found out that Phoebe never interviewed Sam for the Countrywide State Essay Contest and vise versa, Taylor never interviewed Cat and vise versa, Max Thunderman was now a superhero because he had never betrayed The Dark Twister and The Dark Hurricane, causing them to suck up Carly and Phoebe's powers and Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman to punish him by taking away all of his super villain belongings and brainwashing him with superhero videos, and that Gibby, Carly, and I had to wear anklets because the vandals who spray-painted that wall were never caught and we were suspects. I assumed that Max Thunderman, Frankie, and Taylor did not have to wear anklets because apparently, according to what everyone else remembers, they had never recording the last webcast of iCarly with us, which means that they were never suspects.

"Alright, where to next?" Max Russo asked.

"I was thinking Jade, Tori, Beck, Robbie, Rex, and Andre," Phoebe answered.

"But none of us know where they live and the only ones who do are Sam and Cat, who aren't here right now!" Carly pointed out.

"But, they go to Hollywood Arts, right?"

"Yeah."

"And school should be starting soon for them, right?"

"Yeah."

"Then, why don't I Google Hollywood Arts' address in Google and then type it into my teleportation wrist watch?"

"That's a good idea."

Phoebe quickly whipped her MePhone out of her pocket and began to Google the address of Hollywood Arts.

"Excuse me," Mom interrupted her.

Phoebe paused what she was doing and looked up at Mom from her phone.

"I am not going to allow you to teleport my Freddie to Los Angeles! That's dangerous! What if his molecules get rearranged or something like that?"

I then turned my head around and looked at Phoebe and mouthed, "Go ahead, I got this."

I then turned my head back around and took a few steps back so that Mom could no longer see Phoebe. "Don't worry, Mom, I would never do something like that!"

"You guys will be just fine without me, right?" I asked as I turned my head back around to look at everyone else and winked at them.

"Right!" Everybody agreed, playing along with my lie.

I then turned my head back around and looked at T-Bo and mouthed, "Is it ok if I take some time off?"

He nodded, then mouthed, "Go ahead, kid. Go find your friends."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me! Now, go!"

I looked back at Phoebe and whispered quiet enough for Mom not to hear me, "Ready?"

She nodded, then whispered, "Everybody grab onto me!"

With that being said, everybody, except for Mom and T-Bo, followed Phoebe's orders and grabbed onto her.

"Now, what do you guys think that you are doing?" Mom asked, starting to get suspicious.

"Making things right!" Phoebe exclaimed as she tapped a button on the touch screen of her wrist watch, causing her, Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Spencer, Gibby, Carly, Mr. Preston, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Miles, Frankie, Louie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Max Thunderman, Billy, Nora, Captain Man, Henry, Jasper, Charlotte, Piper, and I to quickly disappear into microscopic, blue molecules.

"Oh man, she is so gonna kill me when I get back!" I thought to myself.
