Chapter Seventeen

Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans: Back to the Past

Chapter Seventeen: They're Onto Us!
Nora Dershlit POV

My eyes slowly fluttered open. Golden rays of sunshine that poured out from my window quickly filled them, blinding me. I looked around at my surroundings for a minute. I was now lying down in the bed in my bedroom in the house that has the shed that we hid Cat, Taylor, and Frankie in.

"How did I get here?" I thought to myself, "Didn't we just go back in time to stop our enemies friendships? Shouldn't I be in The Dark Twister and The Dark Hurricane's evil lair right now? Did our plan work?"

I tried to think back to what I could remember. All of the sudden, memories of kidnapping Cat without Taylor or Frankie filled my thoughts. According to my memories, because we pushed Taylor and Phoebe away from Sam and Cat, we were successfully able to kidnap Cat and keep her in our shed for a year! And yet, there is a huge search going on for her that was all over the news, but somehow, they never managed to find her and Linda, Mack, Paul, Steve, and I were never arrested! However, memories of kidnapping Cat, Taylor, and Frankie and being defeated by their friends and getting arrested because of it remained in my brain, which I thought was weird. I mean, if it never happened, then why do I still remember it? Gee, time travel sure does work in mysterious ways....

"Should I wake Linda, Mack, Steve, and Paul up and tell them about out victory?" I asked myself in my head.

I then turned my head to the right and looked at the black alarm clock that was sitting on top of my dark-brown, wooden nightstand.

"It's only 8:30 in the morning...," I thought to myself as I rolled back over on my back, "I could use another hour or two of sleep...."

I tried shutting my eyes, but all I could see through my eyelids was the color yellow. There was too might light in the room for me to fall back to sleep.

"I really should close my curtains," I thought to myself as I opened my eyes back up and grumpily climbed out of my bed that was to comfy for me to want to leave.

Just as I had reached the window that had a perfect view of our backyard and was about to drag my dark-red curtains across so that they merged together, I noticed that there was a large group of people tip-toeing their way towards the huge shed. I pressed my face closer up to the glass so that I could have a better view. I soon recognized those people as Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Spencer, Freddie, Gibby, Carly, Beck, Robbie, Rex, Andre, Jade, Tori, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, Nora Thunderman, Captain Man, Henry, Charlotte, Jasper, and Piper. There were a few others whom I did not recognize, but I'm pretty sure that Mr. Preston, Miles, and Louie, the Hathaway's ghost friends, were somewhere among them. I had no idea how they figured things out, got together, and got here so quickly, but I do know why they're here. Cat.

I quickly shut all of my curtains and blinds before any of them could spot me and dashed towards my white, wooden bedroom door and pushed it open. I then began to zoom up and down the hallway where all of the bedrooms were.

"They're onto us!" I shouted loud enough to wake Linda, Paul, Steve, and Mack up, but not enough for anyone outside to hear me, "They're here! Our enemies! They're outside in the backyard!"

Before I knew it, all four of their bedroom doors swooshed open. I stopped in the middle of all four of them. Standing in front of me was a sleepy, grumpy, and groggy Mack, Steve, Paul, and Linda.

"Hhhhhmmmm?" They all mumbled tiredly.

Before any of them could process what I was trying to warn them about, all of their eyes widened and all of their jaws hit the floor.

"OUR PLAN WORKED!!!" They all shouted in unison with glee.

I figured that the memories of us kidnapping just Cat and managing to keep her in our shed for a year must've just rushed into their thoughts.

"SHHHHH!!!" I hushed them, "Our enemies might here us!"

All four of them cocked their heads at me, confused. "Huh?"

"Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Spencer, Freddie, Gibby, Carly, Beck, Robbie, Rex, Andre, Jade, Tori, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, Nora Thunderman, Captain Man, Henry, Charlotte, Jasper, Piper, and some strangers whom they must've just befriended are in our backyard, tip-toeing towards the shed! They must somehow know that Cat is in there and are trying to rescue her!"

Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve all looked at each other with confused looks, then bursted out laughing.

"Hah, like they really remembered what really happened!" Linda snorted, "The only reason that we remember what really happened and what happened as a result of us pushing Phoebe and Taylor away from Sam and Cat is because we were the ones who changed the course of history!"

"And there's no way that they're smart enough to figure this all out by themselves!" Mack added.

"Yeah, like we'd really fall for that huge lie!" Steve taunted.

"Yeah, good one, Nora!" Paul complimented me in a sarcastic way, "Thanks for the laughs!"

"What are you talking about!?!?" I snarled, annoyed that they didn't believe me, "With all of their minds put together, they have outsmarted us many times! And I don't know if all of them remember what really happened, but if they're out in our backyard right now, at least some of them have to! And if you don't believe me, then I'll take you to my bedroom window and you can see for yourselves!"

Linda, Paul, Steve, and Mack all looked at one another, then back at me.

"Alright, if it makes you feel any better, we'll humor you and look out your window," Steve gave in.

"Ok, good!" I snapped as I marched back into my room and towards my window.

Linda, Paul, Steve, and Mack followed me. I opened the curtains and blinds, then stepped to the side so that they could all look out the window that had the best view of our shed.

"Take a look for yourselves!" I demanded.

Mack, Steve, Paul, and Linda all peered their heads out the window and gasped.

"Oh my gosh!" Linda exclaimed.

"I can't believe it!" Paul gaped.

"You were right, Nora!" Mack admitted, "They're really out there!"

"Sorry that we didn't believe you...," Steve apologized.

"It's fine," I forgave them, "Honestly, if one of you told me that, I wouldn't of believed it either. I sort of don't even believe it now!"

Before any of them could see us, Steve, Paul, Linda, and Mack backed away from the window and closed the curtains and blinds.

"We need to do something!" Mack cried.

"I know, but what?" Linda asked.

"We need to get out there and stop them!" Paul announced.

"Are you crazy!?!?" I scolded Paul, "With a large group like that, we'll get defeated for sure! And then, they'll call the cops on us and have us arrested!"

"And they're bound to call the cops anyway and have them search the house for Cat's kidnappers, which is why we need to get out of here without anyone seeing us!" Steve told us.

"And that's exactly why I'm going to call Twister and Hurricane and tell them about what's going on!" I added, "I mean, if they got here this quick, god knows how much time we have until they figure out what we did and go back into time and try to stop us from pushing them away from each other!"

"But how would they go back in time?" Linda asked me.

"Oh, believe me, Linda, some of them have more intelligence than others. They'll find a way."

"True," everyone agreed with me.

I quickly picked my Pear Phone up off of my dresser, unlocked it, and began to dial Twister and Hurricane's number.

"Hello?" A voice that I recognized as Twister's answered a few seconds later.

"Twister? It's Nora!" I replied.

"OH, GUESS WHAT, NORA!?!?! OUR PLAN WORKED!!!"

"I know what, but how did you know?"

"Because when Hurricane and I woke up this morning, we weren't ghosts anymore! And here's the best part: WE HAVE PHOEBE AND CARLY'S SUPERPOWERS!!! We know that they're theirs because we know have this memory of Max betraying them, instead of us, allowing us to suck their powers out of them and into our own bodies!"

"Wow, that's great! But-"

"So, how did you know that our plan worked?"

"Because Linda, Mack, Steve, Paul, and I now have memories of just kidnapping Cat and somehow managing to keep her in our shed for a year without being caught or arrested!"

The Dark Twister let out a long, evil laugh. "Isn't this great? We all finally got what we wanted! I'm sure that SFL got what they wanted too, but I haven't gotten a chance to speak to them yet!"

"Before you do that, I gotta tell you something. We've got a problem; and it's a HUGE one!"

"What is it, Nora?"

"Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Spencer, Freddie, Gibby, Carly, Beck, Robbie, Rex, Andre, Jade, Tori, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, Nora Thunderman, Captain Man, Henry, Charlotte, Jasper, Piper, and some strangers whom they must've just befriended are in my backyard, making their way towards the shed!"

"You're crazy!"

"I'm not crazy, Twister! They're really out there! I don't know how, but they must've figured out what's going on somehow! They're trying to rescue Cat!"

"You're kidding me, right? There's no way that they could've figured out what is going on when they don't even remember each other!"

"I swear, I'm not kidding, Twister! I don't know how, but some of them must remember what happened before we changed the course of history! Now they're back together and they probably want the lives that they used to have back! Do you need me to send you a picture of it? They're really out there!"

"Nah, I'll just send one of my spy cameras over to your house and see if you're really messing with me or not."

"Ok, do you need for me to give you my address?"

"Nah, I already have it. I'm good, but thanks for offering."

"You're welc- wait. I never gave you my address before, did I?"

"Nope."

"Did Linda, Mack, Paul, or Steve give it to you?"

"Nope. That's just how creepy I am."

"Ummmm.... Ok...."

There was a short pause.

"Yep, that's them alright," Twister sighed, "You weren't kidding, Nora! They're really out there! I can't believe it!"

"Neither could we!" I agreed, "But if they got here this fast, who knows how much longer we have until we figured out exactly what we did and try and go back in time to stop it!?!?"

"True. I will admit that some of them are pretty intelligent and have some great engineering skills."

"Yeah, I'll admit that too, but we need to stop them somehow! Also, Mack, Linda, Steve, Paul and I need to get out of here before they call the cops and have them search the house for Cat's kidnappers!"

By the long pause, I could tell that Twister was brainstorming a plan. "Alright, here's what I'll do: I'm going to call my and Hurricane's parents and  GSVL and tell them what's going on. Then, I'll have half of them teleport to you, while the other half teleports to Scarlet, Victor, Margret, Liana, Frank, Gregory, Delilah, and Stanley. Since SFL will have to clue about what's going on, I'll have them explain it to them. They will then bring you to my and Hurricane's lair. From there, we will go back to when and where our enemies first met to prevent them from trying to stop us from pushing them away from one another. Got it?"

"Yep! Sounds like a plan!"

"Alright, bye!"

"Bye!"

I hung up my Pear Phone and placed it back down on my dresser. I quickly explained Twister's plan to Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve. Just like me, they thought that it was a great plan as well. Before we knew it, a huge, oval-shaped portal slowly began to appear in my bedroom. Seconds later, the portal slowly began to disappear. Linda, Mack, Paul, Steve, and I looked at it with confused looks. Where were they?

"ARE YOU GUYS GONNA JUST STAND AROUND AND STARE AT NOTHING OR ARE YOU GONNA GREET US!?!?" A voice from behind us that sounded like The Evil Triumph's boomed.

Steve, Paul, Linda, Mack, and I jumped ten feet up into the air, alarmed. We quickly turned around to see who was there, but all we saw was nothing. We all had confused looks on our faces.

"OH, THAT'S RIGHT!!!" Triumph projected his voice, "YOU'RE HUMAN!!! YOU CAN'T SEE US!!!"

"Yeah, no dip!" I said sarcastically.

"ISN'T IT GREAT THAT WE DECIDED TO MAKE MULTIPLE WATCHES!?!?" A voice that sounded like The Wicked Cyclone's asked us.

"AND ISN'T IT GREAT THAT OUR TIME MACHINE CAN ALSO TELEPORT US TO PLACES!?!?" A voice that sounded like The Blazing Heat's charmed in.

"Yeah, it is!" Everyone, including me, agreed.

"SO ARE YOU GUYS READY TO GO TO TWISTER AND HURRICANE'S LAIR!?!?" The Evil Force asked us.

Steve, Paul, Linda, Mack, and I nodded our heads in response.

All of the sudden, the portal reappeared.

"OK, AFTER YOU!!!" The The Hazardous Weapon projected her voice.

With that being said, Linda, Paul, Steve, Mack, and I jumped through the portal one by one. Out of those five, I was the last one to jump. I knew that Triumph, Force, Cyclone, Weapon, Heat, and the other ghost super villains who came and got us jumped in shortly after I did. My journey was short, but it sure was a torturous one. I felt as if I was being sucked through a huge, giant straw.

Before I knew it, I was standing in front of our huge, oval-shaped time machine along with The Dark Twister, The Dark Twister, Linda, Mack, Paul, Steve, Scarlet, Stanley, Margret, Victor, Liana, Gregory, Delilah, and Frank. I'm sure that all of the ghost super villains were there too; I just couldn't see them. I could tell that the time machine was on because there was a huge, blue, spinning portal in the middle of it.

"You guys ready to go back to the past again?" Hurricane asked us.

We all nodded. With that being said, we all jumped through our time machine's portal. Again, it felt as if I was being sucked through a straw, but this time it felt more intense. It had felt just as intense when we went back in time for the very first time.

Before we knew it, it was the day that Sam, Cat, the kids that they were babysitting, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Nora, Billy, Max Thunderman, and Phoebe were supposed to meet and we were all standing in front of Bot's. I expected to see the past versions of our selves just arriving or walking towards the entrance, but they were nowhere to be found.

"OH, THEY HAVE REALLY DONE IT THIS TIME!!!" Twister growled.

I turned my head in the direction that The Dark Twister was looking in to see Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Spencer, Freddie, Gibby, Carly, Beck, Robbie, Rex, Andre, Jade, Tori, Nona, Goomer, Sam, Cat, Dice Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Dr. Colosso, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, Nora Thunderman, Captain Man, Henry, Charlotte, Jasper, Piper, and even more strangers(Like I said, I'm pretty sure that Mr. Preston, Louie, and Miles were among them. I just wasn't too sure which ones they were since they are always possessing different people.) dragging our frozen bodies across a field. Before we could do anything, they quickly threw them behind a bunch of large, green bushes. At this point, we were all raging with fury.
