Chapter Five: What Is Happening!?!?
Henry Hart POV

"Alright, I'm gonna let you kids off the hook for the morning," Ray, also known as Captain Man, announced, glancing down at his watch, "You guys should probably start heading on over to school. It's 8:00."

It was just a regular Monday morning and Charlotte and I were down in the man cave, helping Ray out with his superhero duties.

"Oh man, we better get going, Charlotte!" I cried, "We have to be in homeroom by 8:10!"

"I know, which means that we have only ten minutes to get to school and get all of our books out of our lockers!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"Gee, I'm really sorry for keeping you guys in here for this long. I wasn't keeping track of the time," Ray apologized, "You know what? I'll drive you guys to school!"

Ray quickly stood up out of his red computer chair and started to speed walk towards our two tubes.

"Do you think that we'll make it there on time?" Charlotte asked as she and I started to follow Ray.

"I hope so!" Ray quickly responded.

Ray quickly walked underneath the tube that was to the left of us, when Charlotte and I both got under the one that was to the right of us. Ray and I pressed the buttons on our belts that made the tubes come down.

"Up the tube!" All three of us shouted in unison.

Like vacuums, the two tubes sucked Ray, Charlotte, and I up onto ground level where our store, Junk N' Stuff, was. All of the sudden, the three of us watched, from out of our glass front doors, as eighteen people magically appeared. I immediately recognized those people as Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Carly, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, and Nora. The other three were a tall man with brown hair and brown eyes, a boy with brown hair and blue eyes, and an even younger boy with light-brown hair and light-blue eyes. But, judging by the people that they were with, I assumed that the man was Mr. Preston, the older boy was Miles, and the younger boy was Louie.

"Look, there they are!" I heard Miles happily announce as he pointed at Ray, Charlotte, and me.

"Oh, thank goodness that they're here!" Phoebe sighed with relief.

That is when the eighteen of them pushed the front doors wide open and ran up to us. I looked at Ray and Charlotte's facial expressions. Charlotte's looked alarmed and panicky, when, on the other hand, Ray's looked more calm, relaxed, and confident. Even though I could not see my own face, I could tell that my facial expression made it look like as if I was really confused at the moment, which I was. How the heck did they get here like that? I know that Mr. Preston, Miles, and Louie are ghosts, which means that they can teleport themselves anywhere imaginable within the world that they are in at the snap of their fingers, but how did Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, Max Russo, Carly, Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, and Nora get here like that?

"How'd you guys get here?" Was the first thing that I asked our friends.

"By using the teleportation wrist watches that I had made a while back," Max Thunderman explained.

"Oh, cool!"

"STRANGERS!!!" Charlotte cried as she quickly whipped a tiny, black whistle out of her pocket and began to blow on it.

We all covered our ears as screechy, high-pitched noises filled the air.

"Charlotte, why do you have an emergency whistle if we're the danger that a stranger would need to worry about?" Ray asked.

Ray paused for a moment. "I just realized that that rhymes."

"Oh yeah," Charlotte replied as she put her whistle back in her pocket

"We're not strangers!" Alex argued, "We're your friends!"

"Oh, that's just great!" Carly exclaimed sarcastically, "Charlotte and Captain Man don't remember us either! Ok, do any of you remember us at all?"

I gave Carly a really confused look. "Why wouldn't we remember you guys, Carly?"

"Oh, thank goodness!" Miles sighed with relief, "Another person who remembers what actually happened!"

"What are you talking about?"

Instead of answering my question, Phoebe turned towards Ray and Charlotte and asked, "Captain Man, Charlotte, you guys don't remember any of us at all?"

"No, not at all," they both responded as they shook their heads.

Miles, Alex, Carly, and Phoebe all groaned.

"What is happening!?!?" I asked, starting to become concerned about Ray and Charlotte's memories, "Why can't they remember you guys?"

Carly turned around so that she was facing me, then looked me right in the eyes. "Henry, something has happened that has made the majority of us forget that we are friends and what has happened to us all. So far, you, Phoebe, Alex, Miles, and I are the only ones who remember what was supposed to happen. We don't know what happened that made everyone else forget, but whatever it is, our enemies are most likely behind it."

I gasped. "Do you think that Jasper and Piper remember what really happened?"

"We don't know, but we should probably explain everything to Captain Man and Charlotte before we go get anyone else."

"Yeah, we should."

With that being said, Phoebe, Carly, Miles, Alex, and I explained the story that we remembered to Charlotte and Captain Man. Since I was not present for a little more than half of the time that everyone has been friends, I did not chime in until we got towards the middle of the story. Alex did not chime in until the very end since most of us had just became friends with her a few months ago.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I believe all of you," Ray told us once Alex, Carly, Phoebe, Miles, and I were done explaining everything to him and Charlotte, "Most people know my name, even those who don't live in Swellview, but most people don't know who Charlotte is. No offense, Charlotte."

"Non taken," Charlotte forgave him, "I was just about to say something similar to that."

"So, what is it exactly that you guys remember?" I asked everyone, except for Miles, Phoebe, Alex, and Carly.

That is when everyone explained to me what they remembered. Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Max Thunderman, Nora, and Billy explained to me how Phoebe had never interviewed sam for the Countrywide State Essay Contest and Ms. Hathaway, Taylor, and Frankie explained to me how Taylor had never interviewed Cat. I gasped when Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Billy, Nora, and Max Thunderman told me how Carly and Phoebe ended up losing their superpowers, which caused Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman to take away all of his super villain belongings and to brainwash him into becoming a superhero.

"Ok, now I really need to find Jasper and Piper!" I cried.

"But, Henry, school starts in a few minutes!" Charlotte pointed out, "By the time that we get there, it will probably already be started! How are we going to pull Jasper and Piper out of class!"

"Henry, type the address of your school into my watch!" Phoebe ordered as she outstretched her arm towards me, "If we use my teleportation wrist watch, we might make it in just enough time to catch them before they walk into school!"

With that being said, I followed Phoebe's orders by typing the address into the touchscreen on her watch. Man, am I glad that I decided to memorize my school's address when I was in fifth grade and had just entered junior high!

"Alright, everyone hold onto me!" Phoebe ordered.

Without any hesitation, we all grabbed onto Phoebe. With that being said, Phoebe tapped a button on her wrist watch, which caused us all to disappear into small, blue molecules.

"Hopefully, we'll get there in time to catch Jasper and Piper right before they walk into school!" I thought to myself.

Within seconds, all eighteen of us were already standing right in front of my school. Luckily, nobody saw us teleport here because we ended up teleporting ourselves right behind this huge cluster of tall trees. That's when I spotted Piper and Jasper walking up the concrete pathway. I could tell by the look on Piper's face that something was annoying her. I dashed towards them before Piper could part for the elementary school and Jasper could part for the middle school. Ray, Charlotte, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Phoebe, Max Thunderman, Billy, Nora, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Taylor, Miles, Frankie, Louie, Carly, Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Justin, Alex, and Max Russo immediately followed me.

"Jasper, Piper!" I called out.

"Henry, whew have you been?" Piper demanded as she turned around with an angry look on her face, "Because of you, Jasper had to walk me to school AGAIN!!!"

"I was at-" I began.

"Wait, who are they?" Jasper asked.

"And why is Captain Man here?" Piper questioned as she pointed at Ray.

"Looks like they don't remember either," I thought to myself.

Ray nervously looked down at the outfit that he was wearing. "Oh shoot, I forgot to change out of my suit!"

Not knowing what to do, Ray began to nervously glance around the school premises, looking for options. He then grabbed Piper and Jasper by the hand and quickly dragged them behind the cluster of trees so that they could no longer be seen. The rest of us followed them.

"Ok, someone pleas explain to me what is going on and why you are doing this to us!" Piper demanded.

With that being said, Carly, Phoebe, Alex, Miles, and I started to explain everything to Piper and Jasper.

"Ok, I remember absolutely none of that," Piper told Phoebe, Carly, Miles, Alex, and I once we were done telling the story that we remembered.

"Yeah, me neither," Jasper agreed.

"But, I do believe you guys. I mean, I would do anything just to get out of school and to be with Captain Man and Kid Danger, who evidentially, is my brother."

"Yeah, me too!"

"So, you guys are in?" Nora asked, "You'll help us?"

Jasper and Piper both looked at each other, then back at the rest of us. "Yup!" They agreed as they both gave us a single nod.

"Alright, where to next?" Louie asked.

Carly grinned. "I was thinking Seattle maybe..."

"Alright, would you like to do the honors?" Phoebe asked her.

Carly nodded, then pulled her wrist watch out and began to type in the address of wherever she was planning on going next.

"Alright, grab onto me, everybody!" Carly ordered the rest of us.

Piper, Charlotte, Jasper, Captain Man, Nora, Billy, Max Thunderman, Phoebe, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Mr. and Mrs. Russo, Max Russo, Alex, and Justin grabbed onto Carly. Carly then tapped a button on her watch that caused us all to disappear into small, blue molecules once again.
