Study
(Ik yall are starving so I suppose I should feed you.)
Travis sighed, lightly tapping his pencil against his textbook's edge as he read its words. His and Sal's college exams were right around the corner, his stress rising as the days grew closer. A soft sigh left him as he shut his eyes. The craving for a break was intense, but Travis had only such a short amount of time left to study. He wanted to take advantage of what little time he had left, but he didn't know if he could read any more about math equations for now. His brain felt like it was melting with every number and letter he read.
"Travis my beloveeedd!~" Sal said in a sing-songy tone as he opened the front door, snapping Travis from his thoughts. He looked over his shoulder, watching as the blue haired menace pushed the door shut. He held a cup holder in his other hand, his book bag hanging on one of his shoulders. He turned to look Travis, his eyes doing the job of expressing his joy upon seeing the blonde. "I got coffee," he said, holding up the cup holder and shaking it slightly. The ice in the caramel flavored drinks clicked together as they shook. Travis smiled, setting his textbook down as Sal walked over to the table. "Just what I need," he hummed, Sal looking at Travis's supplies on the table as he pulled out the chair from across him. "You're still studying?" He asked, looking back at Travis.
"It hasn't been that long," Travis insisted.
"Babe," Sal said as he reached over, placing Travis's pen in the book and shutting it to mark his place. "I left for work seven hours ago. You were studying BEFORE I left." Travis grinned, refusing to see the issue. "School's eight hours long."
"With breaks in between." Sal finally sat in his seat, pulling one of the coffees free from the cup holder and sliding it across the table. "Taking care of yourself is sexy, babe."
"That why I'm ugly?" Travis asked, snickering as he saw Sal's eyes roll. "How was work?" He asked, grabbing a straw.
"Eh, pretty slow, to be honest," Sal replied, reaching behind his head to unbuckle his mask. "I think it's 'cause everybody's studying or something."
"Probably," Travis hummed before sipping his drink. He watched as Sal set down his mask, as well as his lanyard that held his ID, keys, and his work name tag that was clipped onto it. Sal sighed softly, running a hand through his hair before he finally took a sip of his drink. "You wanna order take out?" He suddenly asked, looking Travis in the eye. Travis shrugged. "Why not?" He asked, Sal grinning. "Movie?"
"Yeah but– studying?" Travis responded, Sal's grin dropping. "Besides, you have to study, too."
"Bah, study shmudy. I'm naturally smart, I'll be fine." Travis blinked. "You forgot what twelve times twelve was." Sal rolled his eyes.
"I never said math was my string suit." Travis snickered, Sal smiling. "Alright, alright, tell you what. We'll study together AFTER lunch."
"Deal," Travis said, pulling his phone out to order their food.
