"Tell me you're not serious" Caroline said. "I wish I weren't when we got back from looking for Jeremy, Shane and Bonnie were both gone too Shane needs Bonnie to cast a spell on Jeremy's tattoo in order to find the cure and he managed to sneak them both out from under our noses" Elena said.

"Well, where's Damon in all this" Caroline asked. "We had an argument I thought he was just taking a walk but then when we went to the beach, we saw signs of a struggle" Elena said.

"Meaning what" Caroline asked. "Meaning somebody probably jumped him and then grabbed him" Elena said.

"Do you think Shane took him" Caroline asked. "No, I mean he's not strong enough to take Damon on even with the element of surprise he must have someone or at least a few someone's helping him" Elena said.

"I am so sorry I wish I was there to help" Caroline said. "Well maybe there is something you can do from home" Elena said.

"Anything, tell me" Caroline said. "So, Shane's looking for the cure we think we can find him we have pictures of Jeremy's tattoo, but we just can't translate the map" Elena said.

"Unless you get the hunter's sword from Klaus" Caroline said. "Exactly" Elena said.

"As long as Violet is there he'll never help" Caroline said.

"Then think of something mention my name anything" Violet said. "He'll never give up the sword" Rebekah said.

"Yeah, but if anyone's gonna get him to give it up all Caroline has to do is, mention Violet and he's likely to give it up" Stefan said.

"He will never give up the sword not even for Violet he's terrified we'll use the cure against him to make him mortal and even if he wasn't he wouldn't want any of us to derive a moment's worth of happiness from being human" Rebekah said.

"Well maybe he doesn't have to give it up I mean Klaus is stuck in Elena's house by Bonnie's spell he can't go anywhere there's only so many places you can hide a three-foot piece of medal" Stefan said.

"I'll find it don't worry just email me photos of Jeremey's tattoo I'll find the sword and I'll call you back" Caroline said.

"Thank you, Caroline," Elena said. "Bye" Caroline said and hung up.

"No service" Violet said going to Stefan and Elena. "Rebekah's still trying though" Violet said.

"And once again everyone's life is in danger looking for this cute because poor Elena can't deal with being a vampire" Elena said.

"That's not entirely true Lena" Violet said. "Everyone's here because they want to be not just for you but for themselves too well except Violet" Stefan said and Violet nodded saying he was right.

"Stefan why didn't you tell me that you wanted the cure for yourself" Elena asked.

"I mean why I wanna take I've seen every side of vampirism there is the power, the misery, the guilt in the long run even the good parts kind of suck too" Stefan said.

"Yeah, I mean I know why you would want to take it but all I'm saying is why didn't you tell me" Elena asked.

"Okay this is awkward I'm going to try to help Rebekah find service" Violet said and left.

"Cause it had nothing to do with you I mean you know how much I wanted a human life with you being human myself being normal that's something I've wanted since long before I met you" Stefan said.

"Well, I'm glad you told me now" Elena said. "Yeah, what's a deeply buried personal secret between friends right" Stefan said. "Between friends I like that" Elena said.

Violet went back to Elena and Stefan as Rebekah's phone rang and she answered putting the phone to her ear. "Hello" Rebekah said.

"Hey, it's Caroline we have the translation of the tattoo we're emailing you pictures of the map and instructions right now" Caroline said. "Got it thanks" Rebekah said after looking.

"Actually, it was me" Klaus said. "Nik you helped" Rebekah asked. "You sound so surprised little sister" Klaus said.

"Shouldn't I be I mean you don't want me to be human you don't want any of us to be human not that it matters to Violet she doesn't want to be human I guess she relates to you in that way" Rebekah said.

"Why would you help us find the cure" Rebekah asked.

"Maybe I finally realized the longer I stand in the way of what you want the longer you'll continue to hate me perhaps I want my sister to finally know happiness" Klaus said.

"Fool me once shame on you fool me a hundred times" Rebekah said.

"No more fooling no more games I hope you get to live and die as you wish" Klaus said. "So do I" Rebekah said.

"There is one more thing Rebekah there is only one dose of the cure you need to find it and take it it's the only way you'll" Klaus said before the line went dead. "Nik, Nik" Rebekah said.

"What did Caroline say" Elena asked. "I don't know we lost the signal come on this way" Rebekah said as she led them.

"We need to get down and across good thing as vampires all we have to do is jump" Violet said.

Rebekah went to jump when Elena stopped her. "Wait, wait um maybe you should leave the map behind in case you fall you don't want anything to happen to the phone" Elena said.

"Are we doing this again" Rebekah asked. "I thought we were a team" Rebekah said. "Guys we don't have time for this" Stefan said.

"He's right clock is ticking" Violet said. "Elena you and Vi go first we'll be right behind you" Stefan said.  Elena and Violet ran and jumped landing on the ground on their feet.

"Huh that was fun" Violet said and Elena smiled at her as they waited for Stefan and Rebekah. 

After a few moments of waiting Violet and Elena looked up seeing Rebekah snapped Stefan's neck.

"There's only one cure" Elena asked after Stefan filled Violet and Elena in on what Rebekah told them and Stefan nodded.

"I can't, I can't take it I mean not above everyone else who deserves it just as much as I do it's over" Elena said. "I'm sorry" Stefan told Elena. "Me too Lena, believe me I am" Violet said.

"I know" Elena told Violet. "But don't be maybe it's a blessing in disguise" Elena said. "How so" Stefan asked.

"Things changed the minute that I went off that bridge Stefan even if I could be human again I wouldn't be the person that I was so it's about time that I accept the person that I am now and figure out a way to start living the rest of my life" Elena said.

"The rest of your life sired to" Stefan said when Violet interrupted.

"Don't finish that sentence because even if she is sired to my dad, it doesn't change her feelings for him, she liked him long before she was a vampire I saw it now when you two are ready to get a move on find me" Violet said and jumped off the cliff landing on her feet.

"Damon" Stefan yelled. "Dad, where are you dad" Violet yelled. Once they found Damon the Hunter slid down the rope before they could stop him.

Stefan and Violet went to help free Damon. "You're eating time just get the cure go" Damon said. "We're not gonna leave you" Elena said. "No, we aren't not by a long shot" Violet said.

"You need to go ahead we'll be right behind you" Stefan told Elena. "Go" Stefan said and Elena hesitated but eventually left.

Violet and Stefan eventually got Damon free as he was now on the ground.

"Alright come on we have to catch up" Stefan told Damon. "Take my hand" Violet said. "No it's okay I just need a minute I'm only gonna slow you down go she only needs one of us" Damon said.

"And what you don't care to be that one anymore you finally decided it was easier to just walk away" Stefan said.

"There's only one dose of the cure Stefan she wants to take it you want her to I don't just do what makes her happy Stefan" Damon said.

"Dad things have changed it's not that easy anymore" Violet said.

"It is right now" Damon told her and looked at Stefan. "Get your butt down the well help Elena get the darn thing" Damon said, and Stefan went down the well.

"Vi go with him" Damon said. "Dad" Violet said. "Now I'll find you later go" Damon said and Violet followed Stefan.

"Hey, I don't suppose you'd want to share a little of that vampire blood either of you is fine" Shane said when he saw Violet and Stefan.

"You're not getting anywhere near my blood you creep" Violet said. "Where are Jeremy and Bonnie" Stefan asked. "I have no idea" Shane said and Stefan grabbed him.

"Stop lying" Stefan said. "I'm not lying but if you help me, I will take you the rest of the way I promise" Shane said.

"Did you know this whole time that there was only one cure" Violet asked.

"What no, how could I I've never seen it look everything I've ever said and did was just to bring back my family I swear" Shane said.

"Well then you know what it's like to have hope and now you know what it's like to lose it" Shane said. "Come on, come on, come on" Shane said yelling the last part as Stefan and Violet left.

Stefan and Violet were looking for Elena when they saw blood. Violet then looked over and saw Elena with blood on her face. "Stefan" Violet said and went to Elena with Stefan behind her.

"Elena" Stefan said. "Lena wake up" Violet said and Elena did. "What happened" Stefan asked.

"She's here" Elena said. "Who" Stefan asked, and Violet realized who Elena meant. "Katherine" Violet said. "Jeremy" Violet said vamp speeding away.

But when she saw Jeremy, she fell to her knees. "No" Violet said looking at Jeremy's lifeless body.
