Violet was helping Rebekah clean up and Caroline walked in seeing them.

"Where's Matt" Caroline asked. "He bailed got called into work at the last minute, but at least Violet was nice enough to help" Rebekah said.

"Yeah, well figured it was the least I could do despite not wanting to go in the first place" Violet said.

"Are you kidding me so, it's just us" Caroline asked. "Yes, and your late clean up committee started at 8:00" Rebekah said. "It's like 8:02" Caroline said.

"Exactly Violet and I managed to turn up in time and I didn't even get to attend the dance that I organized" Rebekah said and continued to clean up.

"I'm sorry about your mom I mean I know you like hated her and everything but still I'm sorry" Caroline said to Rebekah.

"I'm sorry about your teacher he seemed like a nice guy" Rebekah said.

"Yeah, he was" Caroline said. "I'm gonna get started on the gym" Rebekah said and left.

"I guess that leaves us to clean up in here" Violet said and started cleaning up with Caroline.

Caroline and Violet stopped when they heard Rebekah in trouble, and they sped to her.

Violet started siphoning Alaric distracting him while Rebekah managed to get the stake he had, and Rebekah took that as her opportunity to stake Alaric.

Rebekah, Violet, and Caroline backed away from Alaric once they saw the stake didn't work.

Caroline quickly grabbed Violet's hand and vamp sped them out of there and to her car. "Give them to me" Violet said seeing Caroline struggling with her keys.

Caroline gave Violet her keys when suddenly Violet's neck was snapped, and Caroline looked to see Alaric who snapped her neck next. Alaric bent down to Violet.

"Little gift I been saving for someone like you" Alaric said and put handcuffs on her.

Elena heard her phone ringing and went to it but was confused seeing the caller ID said Alaric was calling. She answered the phone and put it to her ear. "Whoever this is it's not funny" Elena said.

"Who else would it be" Alaric said. "Ric" Elena said surprised.

"Listen closely I'm at the school and I have Caroline and Violet and if you want to keep them alive, I need you to get into your car and come down here right away if you tell anyone where you are going, I will kill them" Alaric said.

"If you did have them Violet would have killed you the second, she got she's still a witch she'd rather die than be your guinea pig" Elena said.

"Not if I put some special witch cuffs on her that keeps her from using her magic which by the way I soaked in vervain" Alaric said.

Elena made her way to the school and went in a classroom to see Alaric was very much alive.

She turned her head to see Caroline with a pencil in her hand with rope on her mouth and Violet with tape on her mouth along with the handcuffs that was soaked in vervain.

"Caroline, Vi" Elena said to them. "Let them go Alaric" Elena said.

"Free them yourself" Alaric said and Elena started to go to Violet who shook her head and motioned for her to help Caroline first.

Elena hesitated but saw Violet was serious. Elena went to Caroline and went to take the pencil out only when Alaric sped to Elena shoving it back in.

Violet looked at Alaric full of hatred she knew this wasn't Alaric, but she couldn't help but imagine how it would feel giving him a taste of her magic.

"You said that you would let them go" Elena said facing Alaric.

"How many times do I have to tell you Elena" Alaric asked. "Stop trusting vampires" Alaric said.

"Put it out" Stefan said to Klaus. "Come outside and make me" Klaus said and Stefan stepped out of the house going to Klaus.

"Elena's not here Alaric has her, Caroline, and Violet he's gonna kill them unless you turn yourself over to him" Stefan said. Klaus put out the fire and dropped the tank and faced Stefan.

"Now I know you're not asking me to walk into a certain death" Klaus said.

"I really wish we could but unfortunately if Alaric kills you there's a one in four chance that we die too" Stefan said and Damon made his way to them.

"I'll take those odds" Damon said. "And a hundred percent that Tyler dies" Stefan said.

"I'm good with that too" Damon said. "What about Violet" Stefan asked. "That I'm not good with" Damon said groaning.

"Why don't we just figure out a way to put Alaric down hmm" Stefan said.

"Okay how about Damon sneaks in and distracts Alaric while Stefan grabs Elena and carried her to safety" Klaus said.

"That's a great idea what's to stop me from getting killed instantly" Damon asked.

"Nothing" Klaus said. "My daughter's in there don't you have a thing for my baby girl or did her sleeping with Kol ruin that" Damon asked.

"This isn't really uh helping too much" Stefan said and Bonnie made her appearance known.

"I might have an idea" Bonnie said and they looked at her.

"My mom used a desiccation spell on Mikael that immobilized him for over 15 years of if I can get it, I might be able to use it on Alaric" Bonnie said.

"If and might your words inspire such confidence" Klaus said.

"I'll get it but even with the spell we'll need a lot of vampire muscle to take him down including yours" Bonnie told Klaus.

"Just so we're clear the sun sets in about eight hours if we don't succeed before then Elena will be dead, I'll be gone and the rest of you will be left to fend for yourselves" Klaus said.

"No please not Violet please me please leave her be please" Caroline begged Alaric. "Alaric stop" Elena said getting up. "Sit down" Alaric said pushing Elena back in her seat.

"This keeps the vervain in her system it's like inhaling razor blades with every breath" Alaric said before pouting more vervain on the handcuffs.

Violet screamed through the tape in her mouth. "Why are you doing this" Elena asked looking at Violet for a split second worried for her.

"To make it easier on you when you put her out of her misery" Alaric said. "What no" Elena said.

"Isn't this what you wanted Elena for me to teach you how to kill a vampire" Alaric asked. "Well, here's a vampire Elena better yet two" Alaric said offering the stake to Elena.

"Kill them" Alaric said. "This isn't what I want" Elena said.

"Of course, it is all those hours you spent training getting stronger you could be a hunter Elena, but you've never actually staked a vampire through the heart" Alaric said.

"Why are you doing this" Elena asked. "Because you need me because you're an 18-year-old girl without parents or guidance or any sense of right and wrong anymore" Alaric said.

"Look at you how is this right" Elena asked. "They're murderers Caroline told me she killed someone and liked it and Violet she is still Damon Salvatore's daughter she is just like him she'd kill anyone for her dad, and you know it" Alaric said. "Now how is that right" Alaric asked.

"You see now Elena your parents led the council it was their lives mission to keep this town safe they weren't dead six months before you undid it all" Alaric said.

"You don't know anything about them" Elena said. "Why am I wrong do you actually think that they'd be proud of you" Alaric asked.

"If you don't side with the humans you're just as bad as them" Alaric said bending down to Elena.

"Now kill them" Alaric said standing back up. "Or I'll do it for you, and I'll make it hurt" Alaric said. 

Alaric grabbed Elena and took her to Violet putting the stake in her hand. Elena went to stake Alaric, but he stopped her.

"I thought I taught you better than that" Alaric said. "You did" Elena said and dumped vervain on him.  Elena took the ropes off of Caroline and the wooden pencil.

Caroline sped to Violet breaking off the handcuffs. Violet took the tape off before standing up.

"Get help" Elena said. "Elena" Violet said. "Go let me save you this time go" Elena said pushing Violet out of the room with Caroline and they sped off. 

Violet turned around once she sped off when she felt someone grab her from behind and she tensed up going to siphon him but stopped once she heard who the voice belonged to.

"Hey, calm down, calm down it's me it's okay you're safe" Klaus said and Violet calmed down.

"We'll save Elena you go home you stay inside you understand" Klaus asked and Klaus made her face him.

"Do you understand me" Klaus asked and Violet stayed silent.

"I know you want to help, and I know she's your best friend, but you are far too weak right now you reek of vervain so go please" Klaus said.

"Okay" Violet said, and Klaus sped off while Violet vamp sped home.

"Violet" Damon yelled after using his vamp speed to rush home after not finding her at the school.

"Violet" Damon yelled again after getting no answer. "No, you can't be dead no, no" Damon said and Violet rushed downstairs.

"Dad" Violet said, and Damon let out a sigh of relief.

Violet ran to him hugging him while Damon hugged her back. "You're okay" Damon said relieved.
