Bellamy's Pov
∽
For the first time in my life, I found myself completely alone in the Finalizer hallways. I was dressed in a white med bay gown and it felt like nothing more than a thin bed sheet. I had to sit down for a second, completely and utterly terrified that someone would come down the hallways, ready to sedate me and force me back. The dark consumed my frail form. My mother wasn't there to soothe my fears, nor was Elwood to remind me who I was. It was just me, alone, attempting to find Elwood before he gets executed.
By now, I'm sure L-WYN has returned and has informed the staff that I have escaped. That'll bring what's left of the crew to freaking out. Isidore Ren, Kylo Ren's sociopathic daughter is on the loose and she was not happy.
I round the corner, hobbling my way through the endless hallways of this blasted ship. My shoulder feels like there is a piece of metal launched into it and my vision becomes dotty every once in awhile. Sometimes I have to stop and lay my head on the cool metal floors, allow myself to regain the power I know I should have.
I make it to the docking bay, a large crowd outstretched from the beginning of the show to the very back. To my dismay, I was in the very back. In the crowd I believe myself to be moving on my own free will, I am still my own person. To an observer I am no more than a part of a moving mass, one with an insubordinate behaviour when viewed as a single. I snaked my way through the crowd, keeping my head low with only one destination.
A speech boomed over the crowd with a cacophony of applause and cheering following after it. Stormtroopers were hollering and clapping, proud that they weren't the ones being killed for treason. I find my way to the front of the crowd, blending in with the other's that weren't in uniform. I see my father, standing tall and vicious as he taps his foot impatiently. Hux is beside him, his face grim and paler than usual. General Hux wasn't a man of emotion but Elwood was his only breathing relative.
In the grip of silent panic, my appearance became wild. My pupils dilated, my heart wouldn't stop racing, my brain was on fire and my breathing became more rapid. My father's speech about traitors and the Resistance ended and I knew I had a problem. I stepped back, hoping that nobody had realized who I was yet.
Two stormtroopers brought Elwood out from hiding, his hands and feet had restraints on them and his beautiful face didn't look so beautiful anymore. He looked trashed, completely trashed. His lip was split open and his right cheek was bruised. The minute he was pushed to the ground, his head dropped and I felt every inch of his body pump more blood into his heart, his tiny cells unaware that they were seconds away from being murdered.
Hux walked up to his relative, standing tall beside him. "Cedar Jedidiah Elwood, do you admit to your crimes against the First Order?"
"I do."
I shuffle my way to the side. Grasping the handle of my lightsaber, I push past people and slowly, I can feel people beginning to recognize me.
"Let this be a reminder to everyone, the First Order is stronger than your weak rebellions," Hux choked out. "Everyone will one day now down to the First Order!"
Captain Phasma walked towards Elwood and grabbed her blaster. Even I could tell she didn't want to do this, heartless Phasma had a heart for the kid that grew up trying to wear her helmet. She pressed the blaster against his head and Elwood shut his eyes.
"Stop."
Captain Phasma dropped her gun and my father turned to me, his posture dropping. He walked towards me, each step more vicious until he was standing right in front of my face. "What-" He grumbled. "-is the meaning of this?"
"Let him go." I demand, my facial expression becoming much more powerful than his. My training from Snoke kicks in and I grab my lightsaber, threatening him to make another move.
"Oh?"
"I let Corinthia escape, not Elwood. He was just covering for me because-"
"He took the blame, he'll take the consequence," My father explains. "You have no say in this matter so leave before I have my men make you."
My face drops and I can feel Elwood's eyes on me, questioning what the hell I'm doing. I don't have a higher say than my father, at least not yet anyways. But then I remember words that the only person I had ever loved said.
"Fear is part of being human, Bellamy, it's the precursor to bravery. We need it, it wakes us up to what needs to be done. So feel it, own it, let it ignite your thoughts."
I take a breath and ignite my lightsaber, allowing it to go so close to his mask I can see the metal beginning to melt. "Let. Him. Go."
Surprised by my actions, he dares to ask one more question. "Why?"
"Because I love him."
The sudden sound of a blaster went off and I'm shoved to the ground by my father. Fear curled up inside me and clung to my ribs, settling uncomfortably in my chest. Pure terror surged through my veins while icy daggers pierced my heart. I kick frantically, screaming bloody murder. He's dead, he's dead, he's dead. This feeling would haunt me, reminding me of it's existence every time I opened my mouth to breathe.
My father covered my mouth as I continued to scream. "Isidore stop!"
I push his hand off of my mouth. "You killed him!"
He shook his head, wrapping his arms around me until I stopped fighting. I could feel the tears running down my face as I sobbed loudly in front of the entire First Order. My father stroked back pieces of my hair, trying to soothe my cries. "Calm down. That blaster shot wasn't for him, it was for them." I follow his hand to where he was pointing at. An unauthorized ship had landed in the docking bay and Phasma's gun was still pointing at it. I turn my head, watching as Hux surprisingly held onto Elwood.
The unauthorized ship opened and two people emerged from the inside. My heart stopped again and I swear, my father's did to. A woman and a man stepped forth, raising their blasters in the air. "Our ship is armed with about a thousand explosives, if you shoot, we all die."
"Let them speak," My father demanded, helping me stand up as we walked towards them. I rub my eyes to make sure I'm seeing everything correctly, my breath hitching as we come closer.
The woman keeps her hood covering her identity but both my father and I saw the slightest bit of her face. "My name is Kal Ja, I heard you were looking for me." She remained faceless, lowering her blaster and placing it on the ground. "By birth, my name is Kalila Jane." The mysterious woman removed her hood and I gasped.
I saw the face of my mother...but with freckles. My knees felt weak and I almost fell into my father's arms. The woman continues to speak, her face captivating my every thought. "I know this might come as a bit of a shocker to you but surprise, I'm your aunt."
"Why should I believe you?" I spit, but I felt it in the force.
"I'd assume that my sister would never mention me," She shrugged, placing her elbow on the man's shoulder. "She was too busy saving the galaxy."
"She has," My father spoke up but he too was weakened by her appearance. "Just not to her children."
Kalila bowed before my father and stooped low enough to kiss the ground. "I also assume that you are the man that my sister fell so helplessly in love with by the time she was twelve?"
"Careful," He threatened, grabbing his lightsaber. "You best not speak to me like that."
"Forgive me Lord Ren," The mysterious woman took a step towards me and I couldn't believe my eyes. She looked exactly like my mother, Elara Jane but had the one feature I thought no one in my family had but Jude and I. "You must be the daughter, Bellamy I presume. I bet you didn't know that your name is my middle name."
I open my mouth to speak but she interrupts me. "You don't look like the most feared female in the galaxy."
"It's been a rough day."
"I can tell," She pressed her thumb against my cheek and wiped away a stray tear. "It's been a rough day for everyone. My companion and I need a place to stay before we do whatever you so desperately need us to do."
Hux stepped forth, sneering at the two. "We don't show hospitality to bounty hunter scum."
The man also stepped forth, walking right up to Hux. "Watch yourself mate, nobody needs to get hurt today."
I can feel myself slowly dip out of consciousness. Too much has happened today and I swear I'm going to vomit everywhere. My body suddenly becomes ridiculously hot and I fall backwards, hitting my head against the concrete of the docking bay.
