Bellamy's Pov
∽
To be completely honest, I'm not really sure how the rest of the trip to Dagobah went. I remember fighting with Elwood, falling asleep while watching the stars and waking up to see that someone had put a blanket around me. Not that I care who did though, I'm just curious.
The silly little argument Elwood and I had is even more so confusing the next day, but he's a man. Men are the reason some women are looked upon as weak and unneeded. They also cause plenty of feelings that nobody truly wants, and do I have to point it out one more time?
He. Is. A. Man.
"General Ren?" Captain Onyx interrupted my train of thought. "We have arrived to Dagobah, I'm not sure what your plan of attack is."
"I don't have one," I reply simply. "I will be attending to this business myself. All stormtroopers are to stay onboard unless I say otherwise. Is that clear?"
"Yes ma'am."
I turn to search for a cloak, noticing how incredibly disgusting and swampy this planet seems to be. Elwood is behind me, also searching for a cloak and I can't help but turn around and face him with a grim expression etched on my face. "And what do you think you're doing?"
"Coming with you, what else does it look like?" He responds, not meeting my eye.
My face twitches and I can feel my heartbeat quicken. "I don't think so."
"Your opinion overrules mine only some of the time, therefore, I am coming with you." Elwood picks up a blaster and shoves it into his cloak. "We don't want to waste any daylight."
"There is no daylight." I grumble.
The forest was ancient. The trees thick and old, with roots that were twisted. It's canopy was so dense that you could only see the occasional streak of sunlight that rarely touched the forest floor. Even its thick vines were slowly taking away the last remnants of the temple that stood in the centre. Everything seemed to be a muddy swamp, peopled by hideous animals wallowing in the green slime, and by millions of mosquitoes swarming amidst humid air.
"Do you have any idea where you are going?" Elwood questioned, looking down miserably at his boots.
"No," I reply with a shrug. "The force will guide me to him."
And I was right. A hut caught my eye and I was merely disappointed. It had the look of a poorly planned project gone badly wrong. The exterior walls had rough sodden planks and were absolutely wonky. Dirt and moss clung to the grooves of the dome shaped roof that jutted out, overhanging the walls by a good two feet on every side.
Elwood began to walk up to the hut but I grabbed his arm. "Wait!" I pull him away. "We could be walking into a trap, I sense something."
I took a deep breath and picked up a nearby stone without touching it and dropped it right in front of the door of the hut.
Elwood watched. "I've got a bad feeling about this."
Click.
We were suddenly flung backwards by a massive explosion, toppling over each other and falling into the net of a trap.
"Great," Elwood mumbled, his foot in my stomach."Just great..."
"Would you stop complaining?" I jab my foot into his head. "We aren't dead."
"Being trapped with you feels like death." Elwood said, sighing . "I think I can grab your lightsaber."
"Try and get it."
Elwood aggressively moved his hand to my belt and grabbed hold of my purple lightsaber and ignited it, slicing the net with a buzz and set us free.
"First Order fighters?" A dark and unpleasant voice squeaked from the sky.
I kept my lightsaber ignited, ready to swing at the mysterious voice. "Amar?"
"So you've heard of me?" The voice was now right behind me, crushing me to spin on my foot.
"My name is Isidore Ren-"
"Bellamy Solo Jane?" He questioned, his visibility slowly coming more clear. "It can't be."
"It is," I respond. "I seek your help."
"You seek my destruction." He responds. "I can't help you find what you are looking for."
"If you know me, then you know of my power and I know of yours." I fight the urge to yell.
"I know of your mistakes young one," He shakes his head. "I will not be able to invite you into my home unless you come in peace and I can trust that my life will not end in your hands."
"We come in peace," Elwood spoke for me. "At least, I know I do."
I bite my tongue before nodding along, knowing that if things go wrong for me, I won't hesitate to kill him.
Elwood and I entered the small hut, dust coating the horrid surroundings like a layer of paint. Gemini pulled up three chairs in front of a wooden table and lit a fire.
"Let me see your palms." Gemini took a seat, waiting for us to join him.
"Pardon?" I raised a brow.
"You heard me." He impatiently said. "Let me see 'em."
I slowly reached over the table to show the palms of my hands, unsure of what tricks he had up his sleeves. Gemini grabbed them with his metal hands and brought one to his face. "I knew I was right."
"I don't understand?" I questioned, looking back at Elwood. "I thought you were all powerful and force sensitive...not some palm reader?"
"Your palms can tell the future." Gemini studied my hands carefully, ignoring my comment.
"What are you?"
"Sweetheart, I am your favourite dream and worst nightmare all in one." He grinned. "Do you know the history of this planet?"
"I know that Yoda lived here, after he was defeated by Darth Sidious." I respond, not bothering to look up at his face.
"I sheltered you for almost seven years and you treat me as if I was a stranger, with such little respect-"
Cheekily, Elwood added. "She does that to everyone."
"-I am all powerful but I am not force sensitive like you sweet Bellamy. I know what you seek but I cannot help you destroy the remaining Jedi, they are the salvation to this war."
I was rigid with fury, I raised my hand and started choking him. "Don't treat me like I am still a child Amar."
Weakly, he grabbed at his neck and choked out his sentences. "I have seen the future Bellamy, you're anger and blindness will lead you to your own destruction."
"Search his house, find anything that will lead us to a bounty hunter named Kal Ja." I demand, clenching my fist tighter until Amar is no longer able to speak.
I release him and his body goes limp against the floor. "I fear that it is too late for you. You have gone down the path you're great grandfather and father have gone down and you will not be able to return from it."
"I want to go down that path," I sneer, towering above him with my lightsaber in hand. "Darth Vader shall look weak to me."
"Then you will be exactly like the Chosen One."
"Issy," Elwood called from the room beside us. "I found her location."
"That's all we need."
"Oh Bellamy, your mother would be so disappointed." Amar sighed, accepting his defeat as I choke the life out of him.
Elwood looked down at Amar's body and shook his head. "Did you really have to kill him? Wasn't he family to you at one point?"
"My father is the only family I have," I snap. "Where is Kal Ja located?"
"She was last spotted on Chandrila," Elwood explains. "I assume she is a she."
I shrug. "I'm not sure who Kal Ja is, all I know is that she is a bounty hunter that will do anything for money."
"And by anything, you mean kill your brother and Luke Skywalker?"
I turn to face Elwood, his brown eyes suddenly causing me to forget what I was going to say. I quickly shake my head, pushing anything I thought I felt. "Jude Solo is not my brother and his death will bring justice to the First Order."
