Day Eight 

"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."

 God's word is a seed that's planted in our hearts each time we listen.
Like every seed, it will only germinate on good ground. Whether or not the seed grows is dependent on the fertility of the ground.

 "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."

— Acts 20:32 (KJV)

 God's word can build us up. God's word can give us an inheritance.
 Either you believe the word of God, or you don't. He that believes is someone that can receive the word as a seed that's planted.
 The word of God can change our lives. The word of God can build us up.
he word of God also makes us pure. It sanctifies us and cleanses us.

 "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word."

— Ps 119:9 (NKJV

 I think that's a good question. How can a young man cleanse his way? David answers his own question. The Bible says, "By taking heed according to your word."
 When we finally understand the revelation that is in the Holy Scriptures, we'll learn to value God's word more.

"Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!"
— Ps 119:11 (NKJV)

I believe that's why David was so successful. He hid God's word in his heart. He purposely hid God's word in his heart.
 Let's become people who love the word of God. People who do everything according to the word of God.

 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

— Col 3:16 (NKJV)

Paul encourages us to be rich in the word of God. Man is rich in so many things but the word of God.
The word should dwell richly in us and have a permanent abode in our hearts.

Prayer: In the name of Jesus Christ, Glorious Father wethank you. We bless your name. We honor you. We declare that you are mighty andworthy of all our worship. Lord, help us to value your word above all things.In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
