Jesus forgives sins
Day Seven
Luk 7 (NKJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
⁴⁷ Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."
⁴⁸ Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
Jesus offers so much to us. We have to study Jesus and learn about Him if we are ever going to understand Him.
The Bible says, "Her sins, which are many, are forgiven."
Jesus doesn't choose which sins to forgive and which sins not to forgive. Jesus doesn't choose to forgive little sins or great sins. Jesus forgives.
The Bible says, "Your sins are forgiven"
If you read the whole story, you'd discover that at this given point, Jesus was dining at a Pharisee's house.
The Pharisee wasn't exactly excited with what was happening. He had a problem with the woman.
Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, "This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."
Luke 7:39 NKJV
The problem that the pharisees had was that they thought they knew everything. And in their self-righteousness, they rejected God.
If Jesus hadn't come and left things in the hands of the Pharisees, none would have been saved. I know for sure, I never would have been saved.
But the bible says, "Her sins which are many."
Jesus forgave a woman who had many sins. If this isn't encouraging enough, I am not sure what is. It's not about the sins we committed, its about the power that Jesus has to forgive sin.Lets read the Bible again.
"Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven.""
— Luk 7:48 (NKJV)
Her sins had been forgiven. My friend, Jesus forgives sins. Maybe someone thought you committed many sins and rejected you.
But Jesus forgives many sins. If Jesus hadn't forgiven me of my many sins, I never would have known salvation.
Jesus forgives us because it is the only way to walk in the love of God. One who hasn't been forgiven, cannot know the love of God.
When God forgives, it shows His great love and mercy towards us.
"For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem."
— Ezr 9:9 (NKJV)
"We were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage."
We have a loving Jesus. And running away from Him doesn't solve anything. Jesus is all we need. He forgives all sins. Even great sins.
Prayer: In the name of Jesus Christ, Glorious Father, Wethank you. We magnify you. We bless your name. Thank you for being the One whoforgives us. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
