Chapter 7
A while later, the OMNI Enforcer HIGHCOM receives word that Victoria Base has been retaken from ZAFT African forces. However, they were surprised that the base was retaken so suddenly, as they were preparing their own forces to retake it due to its importance for the mass driver and supply route. Despite this, they did not receive any communication from the South African Union for some time. In all honesty, they considered abandoning them, but they planned to return with greater numbers and better technological equipment in their military arsenal. They attempted to contact the SAU five times, but received no response. This raised suspicions for OMNI Enforcer HIGHCOM, especially since these members were secretly part of the anti-coordinator extremist group known as Blue Cosmos.
In fact, the Blue Cosmos members within the SAU went silent, never responding to them. To investigate the suspicion surrounding the South African Union, they decided to send both navy and air forces. These forces comprised members from the Atlantic Federation, Eurasian Federation, and Republic of East Asia. However, unbeknownst to the Eurasian Federation and the Republic of East Asia, some members of the Atlantic Federation were actually Blue Cosmos members or sympathizers. Subsequently, they were deployed to investigate the suspicious activities of the SAU and stationed at Victoria Base.
...
Outside of Ngomeni Military base, South African Union (Kenya)
Outside the Ngomeni Military Base, located in the South African Union (Kenya), the EA navy fleet arrived, its vessels coming to a halt just outside the perimeter. The ships included Des Moines-class cruisers, Arkansas-class cruisers, Jacksonville-class battleships, Spengler-class aircraft carriers, and attack submarines—each a formidable presence on the horizon.
Within the bridge of the Jacksonville-class battleship, Lieutenant General Brent Addaway of the Atlantic Federation stood, his back straight as he surveyed the scene alongside Eurasian Rear Admiral Egon Cossman. Behind them, other commissioned officers stood quietly, awaiting orders. The rear admiral, binoculars pressed to his eyes, peered into the distance at the Ngomeni Military Base.
"I see the Ngomeni Military Base," Egon Cossman said, lowering the binoculars slightly. "It's been there since the Reconstruction War. But I also notice a small navy force of the SAU. It's odd. Why are they gathering there?"
Brent Addaway chuckled, a sound laced with dismissiveness.
"Why bother?" he replied, his tone casual. "They're part of the EA. They're stationed there to defend against ZAFT if they decide to foolishly show up."
Cossman's eyes narrowed slightly as he considered the situation. "I don't know. It seems like they want to maintain their independence."
Addaway scoffed at this. "You Eurasians are too paranoid to see it."
He placed a hand on Cossman's shoulder in a gesture of camaraderie, though it carried an air of condescension.
"You should know," Addaway continued, "they've been siding with us ever since these Coordinators entered the war with their new mobile suits. While they're celebrating their victories in battle, we're busy building our own to level the playing field. They've failed to respond to us five times, so we're here to investigate."
Brent Addaway, a high-ranking member of Blue Cosmos, had his own motives—using his military influence to pursue the purge of all Coordinators from Earth and space in the name of "preserving our blue and pure world." His intentions, hidden behind the façade of patriotism, were far more sinister.
"It's best to send air forces to scout the area," Addaway suggested, his eyes gleaming with resolve. "Follow it up with a small group of patrol ships and one Des Moines-class cruiser to dock at the base. We'll station our personnel there. Once it's safe, we'll proceed with our investigation. If our suspicions are confirmed, we'll occupy it to prevent the Coordinators from gaining control."
Egon Cossman's expression remained cautious as he processed the plan. "Hmm... Are you sure about this?"
Addaway nodded firmly, his voice resolute. "Yes, I'm sure. Let's not waste any more time. We'll head there now to confirm our suspicions."
He turned to one of his commissioned officers, signaling for action.
"Order the aircraft fighters to head for the base," Addaway commanded. "Tell the captain of the Des Moines-class cruiser to stand by until they're given the green light to dock at Ngomeni Military Base."
"Understood, sir," the OMNI officer responded, before swiftly departing to carry out the orders.
...
The OMNI Enforcer aircraft, including F-7D Spearheads and VTOL Fighters, soared through the sky toward Ngomeni Military Base, its perimeter protected by aging navy ships positioned just outside the base. The lead pilot, a Eurasian Major, steered the aircraft forces and attempted to establish contact with the base. Despite his repeated efforts, there was no response.
"This is Earth Alliance forces, do you copy?" he called into the radio, his voice steady, yet laced with impatience.
No response came from Ngomeni Military Base.
"This is Major Elion, part of the Earth Alliance forces. Do you copy, over?" he repeated, his voice a little firmer now.
...
After a brief moment of silence, the voice of an SAU operator crackled through the radio.
"This is Ngomeni Military Base of the South African Union. I read you. What business do you have here?"
"We are here to inspect your base by orders of the Earth Alliance," Major Elion responded. "You have failed to respond to our inquiries five times, and something has happened to your country. As a member of the EA, and with your permission, we would like to dock our forces on your base and begin our inspection."
The operator paused, then turned to look at an imposing figure standing nearby. The Legion Commissary-Übercommander, a male Lamia, stood beside the SAU Major General, his eyes cold and calculating.
"Tell them they are allowed to come in," the Commissary-Übercommander commanded, his voice firm and authoritative.
The operator nodded, then relayed the message to the EA pilot.
The Commissary-Übercommander's gaze shifted to the large monitors before them. "Once those aircraft and navy forces come near, we'll give them a surprise strike."
The SAU Major General let out a heavy sigh, the weight of their actions settling upon him.
"I can't believe we're doing this," he muttered. "We're going to fight the EA."
The Commissary-Übercommander's eyes narrowed with disdain. "You shouldn't be worried, Major General. The EA will see what happens when they allow racial hatred to consume their minds, turning themselves into the very subhumans they claim to fight against. Any allies that stand with the EA will face the same fate as the Atlantic Federation."
"But—!" The Major General stammered, his unease palpable.
"But nothing!" the Commissary-Übercommander snapped. "Remember why we're here in the first place, Major General. Until our fleet reaches Earth, we'll carry out operations here to ensure your world embraces coexistence between Naturals and Coordinators. Anyone who resists will be removed."
His voice was unwavering, and his words hung in the air like a chilling decree. The Major General and his staff stood in uneasy silence, the weight of his command settling over them. The world they had known, one where Coordinators were viewed as genetic abominations—devils from space—was about to change, whether they were ready or not. The alien nation, the Sovereignty Republic of Salvatia, was here to intervene, and they would not tolerate opposition to the Supreme Leader's plan.
The Commissary-Übercommander's gaze remained sharp as he continued. "I hope your pilots are prepared for this. We gave you these so-called mobile suits, as your kind calls them, to make it easier for your people to learn how to pilot them."
The SAU Major General nodded. "Yes. Your instructors have trained them to pilot the mobile suits. Only a few are trained and ready to use the suits you've built for us."
"Once we show the SAU's capability to stand against the EA and the PLANTs, more people will be trained as pilots," the Commissary-Übercommander said, his tone growing more assured. "With our assistance, now that your leader has allied with us, we will provide everything your military and citizens need. Your nation will experience peace and prosperity once the leaders of the EA and PLANTs are out of the picture. New technologies will usher in a better future for your people."
The Major General sighed, then gave a reluctant nod.
The Commissary-Übercommander's lips curled into a faint smile. "Good. Now, let's see how they react when we surprise them with our first strike."
He crossed his arms behind his back, his eyes fixed on the large monitor as the first strike began, the tension in the air thickening with each passing moment.
...
The SAU operator's voice crackled through the radio, steady and authoritative. "You are clear to enter our base. Bring your navy force to the docking area. We'll order our navy to clear the way."
"Roger that. Thank you," the Eurasian Major Pilot responded, his tone clipped and professional as he acknowledged the order.
He then spoke to his crew, relaying the next command. "Contact Lieutenant General and Rear Admiral, let them know it's a green light."
...
The OMNI Navy officer's voice broke through the stillness, bringing a note of assurance. "We got a positive green light, sir," he reported, his words quick and efficient as he passed the message to his superiors.
Brent Addaway chuckled under his breath, the sound a mix of satisfaction and confidence. "Heh. See? They allowed us to dock our forces. That proves they're still loyal to the OMNI Enforcer and haven't decided to switch sides to the Coordinators." His words were full of triumph, as if the confirmation of their entry was a sign of steadfast loyalty on the part of the SAU.
Egon Cossman, however, wasn't so easily convinced. His brow furrowed, his gaze distant as though searching for something beyond the surface of the situation. "Hmm... You're right," he conceded, his voice measured, but his skepticism clear. "However, something isn't right."
His instincts were sharply attuned, a sense of unease creeping through him like a shadow in the corners of his mind. Despite the outward signs of cooperation, Cossman couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. He trusted his gut, feeling that a deeper, perhaps more dangerous layer of tension was lurking beneath the apparent calm. His cautious expression remained, his senses on alert, as he prepared himself for what might unfold.
There was no room for complacency; in his line of work, an overconfident assumption could lead to fatal mistakes. And though the initial signs pointed toward the expected outcome, he couldn't ignore the warning bells ringing faintly in his mind.
...
The small group of patrol ships and the Des Moines-class cruiser steadily approached the designated docking area, with the SAU navy vessels maneuvering aside to grant them passage. Meanwhile, the aircraft units prepared to return to their carriers, their engines humming in unison. But suddenly, the air above them seemed to shift. Anti-air turrets emerged from their concealed positions, swiveling with precision as they aimed their deadly barrels at the incoming forces. Dual cannons within thick concrete bunkers locked onto the OMNI Enforcer navy ships, ready to unleash their fury. Then, the SRS defense structures revealed themselves, their cloaking mechanisms deactivating with a soft hiss. Missile turrets, MLRS turrets, Tesla-Arc towers, AEG stationary turrets, and towering wave beam cannon arrays all came into view, each targeting the approaching OMNI Enforcer vessels with deadly intent. The SAU navy ships, too, turned their cannons and weapons, preparing to unleash hell upon the enemy.
Eurasian Major Pilot's voice cracked with disbelief. "What the hell—!"
Before he could react further, chaos erupted. The SRS and SAU defense systems unleashed their weapons in a sudden and ferocious assault. Explosions rocked the air and sea as missiles, lasers, and artillery pounded the approaching OMNI Enforcer ships. The surprise attack was brutal and devastating. The patrol ships and the Des Moines-class cruiser were caught off-guard, their structures crumbling under the sheer force of the assault. The deadly arsenal of SRS and SAU forces left no room for escape, and countless OMNI Enforcer personnel aboard the ships perished in the barrage.
"The SAU just opened fire at us!" the Eurasian Major Pilot screamed over the comms. "I repeat, we're—"
"Look out, major!" an OMNI pilot's voice came urgently over the radio.
The Major Pilot glanced back, just in time to see a barrage of missiles streaking through the sky, their warheads closing in on him. The impact was immediate and catastrophic. His F-7D Spearhead was torn apart in an instant, the explosion taking his life in the blink of an eye.
The remaining aircraft scrambled frantically through the air, trying to evade the relentless missile fire, but it was too late. One by one, they were struck down, disintegrating in fiery explosions as they were overwhelmed by the sheer number and power of the incoming attacks. The skies, once clear, were now filled with the wreckage of the OMNI Enforcer units, each explosion lighting up the horizon.
...
"What the hell!" Brent Addaway shouted, his voice filled with disbelief as he, Egon Cossman, and the rest of the navy personnel stared in shock at the carnage unfolding before them. The once-formidable air and navy units of the OMNI Enforcer were now reduced to flaming wreckage by the SAU's merciless assault.
"They opened fire!?" Egon Cossman exclaimed, his mind struggling to process the unexpected betrayal.
A panicked voice cut in over the comms. "S-Sir! Multiple enemy forces heading this way!"
"What!" Brent Addaway snapped, his heart racing.
"Are you positive?" Egon demanded, his gaze hardening.
"Yes!" the OMNI Navy Officer confirmed, his voice trembling with urgency.
The lieutenant general clenched his teeth, his fists balling in anger as he realized the SAU had crossed a line. They had dared to open fire on them without warning.
"Those damn bastards!" Brent growled, fury rising in his chest. "They're turning on us! Get every unit to eliminate those traitors and capture that base now!"
His command came like a thunderclap, filled with raw, furious authority.
"Also," Brent continued, his voice steely, "contact high command about what's happening here and request reinforcements. Those traitors dared to switch sides with those Coordinator scum and turn against their own mother Earth!"
An officer hesitated. "But sir... the N-Jammer effects..."
Brent shot him a withering glare. "Then encode a message to them, damn it!"
"R-Roger," the officer stammered, quickly setting to work on the encrypted message to Earth Alliance high command.
But a moment later, the officer's voice came back, strained. "Sir! Something's wrong. I can't encode the message."
"What!" Brent barked in disbelief. "That's absurd!"
Egon's brow furrowed in concern. "How can something be happening to the encoded message? Is it the new effects of the N-Jammer?"
Before anyone could respond, another officer urgently called out, "Sir! Enemy mobile suits sighted!"
"What! It can't be..." Egon began, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Brent, Egon, and the rest of the crew turned in shock as the officer pointed toward the horizon. Their eyes widened in horror as they saw what was coming: a fleet of enemy mobile suits advancing toward them, their forms dark against the sky. The sight was enough to freeze them all in stunned silence.
...
The OMNI landing crafts drove through the watery waves, followed by Des Moines-class cruisers, Arkansas-class cruisers, and Jacksonville-class battleships preparing their cannons for artillery bombardment on Ngomeni Military Base. SAU navy ships continued firing cannons at the incoming OMNI forces heading straight for the base. The EA navy ships decided to attack the SAU navy ships to provide cover for the landing crafts to arrive.
While both SRS and SAU defense structures engaged the landing crafts, a few managed to reach the beach and deployed infantry and ground units to engage the enemy. OMNI air units, composed of VTOL fighters and Spearhead jet fighters sent out from Spengler-class aircraft carriers, attempted to strike the military base, but some were destroyed by SRS and SAU anti-aircraft defense structures, although some managed to inflict critical damage.
Just as they were about to engage the enemy and seize Ngomeni Military Base, something unexpected happened to the EA forces. A large group of mecha fighters, composed of the Black Death Legion, Grand Army of Salvatia, and some of the Vindictarium Order, emerged from nowhere to attack them with their advanced weaponry arsenals. Moreover, there were new kinds of mobile suits not made for Salvatians; they were designed for the SAU and used for piloting large humanoid mobile suits for the first time in battle.
SAU Mobile Suit - Antelope
SAU Mobile Suit - Radama
The SAU pilots, having adapted to using mobile suits thanks to Salvatia providing a new military arsenal at their disposal, managed to take out EA aircraft units from the sky. The SRS Fieldmarines ran towards the water, diving underwater to engage enemy attack submarines.
...
On the other side of Ngomeni Military Base, another EA navy force launched landing crafts, which made their way toward the beach. As the crafts hit the sand, infantry troops and ground vehicles flooded out, attempting to flank the enemy from the opposite side.
"Alright, listen up, men!" the OMNI Commander barked, his voice steady despite the chaos. "We're taking the flank on the other side of the enemy base and capturing it. Meanwhile, I want other units to—"
His orders were abruptly silenced as a bullet struck him in the head, and his body crumpled to the sand.
"Commander!" one of the OMNI soldiers shouted, his voice tinged with panic.
"Take cover!" another soldier cried, scrambling for safety.
In that instant, the combined forces of SRS and SAU infantry, along with the imposing SRS mecha fighters like the MECS and Astrayers, launched their assault. The Vindictarium Order and Black Death Legion infantry joined the fray, unleashing a storm of projectiles and rockets that rained down upon the OMNI forces. The initial surprise sent the OMNI infantry scattering in confusion—some took cover behind vehicles, while others were struck down without warning. Meanwhile, the SAU's Antelopes and Radama mobile suits made short work of the OMNI linear gun tanks.
SRS heavy troopers equipped with miniguns tore through several OMNI soldiers with ruthless efficiency. SAU soldiers, wearing advanced combat body suits designed by Salvatia, engaged the EA infantry with a blend of ranged firearm precision and close-quarters knife combat. An SRS Astrayer fired its SLAM launcher, targeting each EA landing craft to prevent any further troop deployments. All around, SRS troopers and Legion death troopers showed no mercy, cutting down OMNI soldiers with brutal efficiency. The death troopers employed particularly gruesome methods of execution, introducing new, terrifying ways to fight that would haunt the EA infantry for years to come.
The SAU Antelopes locked onto incoming EA landing crafts and unleashed a barrage of fire, destroying several on impact. Yet, a few managed to survive, touching down on the beach. As one of the landing crafts deployed its troops, a Legion heavy death trooper ran forward, seizing one craft with his bare hands. With a mighty heave, he tossed the craft into another, sending both tumbling in a fiery explosion.
Meanwhile, the Vindictarium Order unleashed their own fury. Myrmidons, knights, knight captains, and gray archmages stormed the battlefield. A Cambion gray archmage levitated an enemy bulldog with his staff, crushing it into a crumpled ball with sheer force. A knight captain, an imposing Orc, swung his gravity hammer with devastating force, knocking OMNI soldiers off their feet. He slammed it into the ground, sending shockwaves through the earth that flattened even more soldiers in the vicinity. Despite taking fire from several OMNI soldiers, the knight captain's combat harness shield absorbed the bullets without a scratch. With a swift motion, he switched to a plasma blaster rifle and wiped out the remaining attackers.
The Vindictarium knights, powerful werewolves, attacked with ferocity, using claws to tear apart enemies before switching to ranged weapons like tri-beam arcane rifles and arcane fusion rifles to pick off OMNI infantry from a distance. The gray archmages, spreading across the field, unleashed light beam attacks on OMNI tanks and humvees, while the myrmidons used their MHF katana blades to slice through enemy infantry.
In the air, the SAU Radamas mobile suits took flight, preparing to engage the EA navy fleet. In response, the EA fleet deployed VTOL fighters and Spearhead fighters to intercept them. The SAU Radamas fired on the enemy aircraft, forcing them to disengage momentarily. But just as the battle seemed to be turning in their favor, one of the ships in the fleet exploded in a violent burst.
Below the surface, an SRS Preyseeker-class dimensional submarine fired two quantum phase torpedoes, sinking another EA ship. Meanwhile, a squadron of SRS Fieldmarines surfaced, swimming toward the enemy fleet and launching their mana beam bazookas at the ships, obliterating each one they targeted.
On the surface, the SAU Ramadas had successfully downed several enemy aircraft, but as they closed in on the EA fleet, they were destroyed in return fire.
"Whoa! Is that—" one of the Ramadas pilots exclaimed, his voice full of awe.
"Yeah," another pilot replied grimly. "It's the Salvatians. They're sure to destroy enemies without mercy. Neohumans and Neotypes... they're nothing like the Coordinators."
"It makes you wonder if we've sided with them," a third pilot said, his tone conflicted, "and opened fire on our former allies."
"They're no allies," a fourth pilot spat. "The EA abandoned us when we needed them to push back ZAFT forces and never came back to defend us. They get what they deserve."
...
Back at Ngomeni Military Base, SRS troopers (dwarves) planted the Twin-MG turret, and a trooper manned the turret, opening fire at OMNI soldiers on the beach and inside the landing craft before infantry troops could disembark. SAU soldiers equipped with assault rifles and light machine guns shot down OMNI soldiers on the beach, but four or five SAU soldiers were shot by an EA humvee gunner. A SRS trooper carrying a rocket launcher fired a rocket at an enemy humvee, destroying it.
Two SRS Pigeon aircrafts accompanied by four kammerjagers flew in the air to perform anti-surface attacks. The SRS gunners on Pigeon aircrafts fired rapid-fire arcane miniguns, mowing down enemy infantry troops on the beach and inside the landing crafts. The Pigeon aircrafts also launched missiles at incoming landing crafts, blowing them up.
The four kammerjagers landed on the ground to support their allied ground units. The SRS Vulcan towers were upgraded with H.E. ammunition to destroy light armored vehicles like bulldogs, humvees, and linear gun tanks. The kammerjagers opened fire with triple-barrel arcane miniguns, killing the remaining OMNI soldiers and firing arm-mounted plasma beam cannons at ground vehicles.
With the field filled with destruction and slaughter, the remaining OMNI soldiers became very scared and attempted to retreat into the water in full panic. However, the Salvatians and SAU forces didn't give them a chance to retreat, shooting down the retreating enemy soldiers.
Some SAU soldiers, ranked as privates, were horrified to see Salvatian infantry troops, and even some of their own men, open fire on the retreating enemy in the water. Their expressions were filled with horror as they watched SRS heavy flametroopers use napalm flames on their foes, burning them to death. They couldn't do anything to stop them, as they received orders to take no prisoners and ensure no one retreated alive. This was because they didn't want the Earth Alliance to expose their existence to the world, which could jeopardize their special operations for the Supreme Leader's armada fleet arrival.
Meanwhile, the mecha fighters and mobile suits were flying toward the EA main navy fleet to destroy them.
...
Brent Addaway and Egon Cossman stood frozen in disbelief, their faces drained of color as they stared at the monitor screen. The sight before them was nothing short of a nightmare—OMNI soldiers being slaughtered without mercy by the SAU and an unknown ally, who didn't identify as ZAFT. The unfamiliar mobile suit designs only added to the confusion, and though the threat was closing in, both men felt utterly powerless, knowing that death was fast approaching.
"What the hell is happening!?" Brent shouted, his voice filled with shock and disbelief.
Egon Cossman quickly snapped back into action, his voice cutting through the chaos. "Contact all captains—engage now! Send the remaining aircraft into the air!"
Just as the order left his mouth, a violent explosion erupted from the left side, drawing their attention. They watched helplessly as an Arkansas-class cruiser was obliterated by a powerful mana beam, fired from deep underwater.
"Pierre Trudeau is down!" one OMNI Navy officer cried out, his voice shaking with panic. "Another one—Arbalete's destroyed!"
"High damage," another officer added, voice strained. "Mostly due to enemy attack."
"But where?" Cossman demanded, his mind racing to understand.
The officer hesitated before stammering, "It's... it's underwater!"
...
At the underwater
The SRS Fieldmarines moved through the water to locate and destroy EA submarines. There were 12 of them, making it easy to take them out while other units moved to destroy enemy ships from below the surface.
The Fieldmarines wielded mana beam bazookas, arcane-heated tomahawks, swords, spears, and Arcane Artillery Casters (ACCs) to destroy a few of the submarines. As they blew them up, the crew inside the submarines tried to fix them or escape, but there was no way out. The crew panicked as water flooded in, realizing they would slowly drown.
Once the submarines were taken out, the Fieldmarines proceeded to attack the enemy fleet from below, causing losses to EA ships as they were caught off guard and unable to set up anti-submarine defenses in time.
...
Back at the surface, among the combined forces is a Nightmare Apostle and it is none other than High Magistrate Varlak.
(Nightmare Apostle)
Inside the cockpit, Varlak's lips curled into a satisfied smirk as he relished the destruction of the EA forces. He was pleased with his decision to join the battle personally, leading a group of Blackguards. His priority was clear: destroy the most vital enemy vessels, particularly the aircraft carriers. His forces spread out strategically, while the Nightmare Apostle set a direct course for the Jacksonville-class battleship, where the EA lieutenant general and rear admiral were stationed.
On the bridge of their own ship, Brent Addaway could no longer contain his growing panic as he watched EA ships being annihilated all around them. The overwhelming firepower was unlike anything he had ever seen—far beyond the capabilities of the naval forces that had long ruled the oceans. Losing all sense of composure, Brent grabbed Egon Cossman by the collar and yanked him close, shouting desperately in his face.
"Why can't we contact HQ through an encoding message!?" Brent demanded, his voice frantic.
"I-I don't know!" Egon stammered, struggling to stay calm. "It's not the N-Jammer effects, it's something else! And those aren't ZAFT! They don't pilot GINNs!"
"Who gives a fuck who or what they are!" Brent screamed. "Get us out of here!"
Without warning, Varlak's Nightmare Apostle loomed before the bridge. The two men froze, their jaws dropping as the intimidating mobile suit appeared right in front of them. Varlak's cruel smirk was the last thing they saw before he addressed them with deadly words.
"Die, racist subhumans!" Varlak's voice rang out coldly. "Death to those born of xenophobic and racial hate!"
In their final moments, Brent and Egon could only scream in terror as the Nightmare Apostle raised its weapon—a Mana High-Frequency Scythe. With one brutal swing, it brought the scythe down on the bridge, cleaving through the lieutenant general, rear admiral, and their officers. The Apostle didn't stop there; it sliced through the battleship with terrifying precision before retreating, leaving a trail of fiery destruction in its wake.
From a distance, Varlak observed the burning remains of the EA battleship, his expression one of grim satisfaction. The Tarkovsky particle device had ensured that the enemy's communications were severed, preventing any distress signals or encoded messages from reaching their intended targets. The combined forces of Salvatia and the SAU had secured victory, leaving the EA fleet in ruins.
As Varlak surveyed the survivors clinging to life in the water, some in life jackets, others in lifeboats, a Legion Blackguard approached him from behind.
"Sir," the Blackguard reported, "we've successfully destroyed all enemy vessels. No boats have escaped, including the submarines."
Varlak's voice was cold and approving. "Good."
The Blackguard hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "What about the survivors? What shall we do with them?"
Varlak turned his head slowly, his voice unwavering. "You already know the orders."
His gaze sharpened as he gave the final command. "No prisoners."
The Blackguard nodded. "Understood, sir."
Commissioned by High Magistrate Varlak, the SRS mecha fighters and SAU mobile suits assembled above the ocean. Aerial units, including extirpator drones, jet troopers, harpies, angels, demonkins, swarmkiller drones, and dragonewts, hovered nearby. Merfolk, in their true aquatic form, were stationed below the surface, prepared to intercept any survivors attempting to escape.
In a grim and brutal act, the forces began their attack. Mecha fighters and mobile suits fired upon the remaining lifeboats, while aerial infantry and drones targeted those still floating in the water. The merfolk dragged survivors under the waves, either shooting or stabbing them without mercy. The water was filled with screams as the remaining survivors pleaded for their lives, but no compassion was given.
Varlak's Nightmare Apostle watched from above, emotionless, as the massacre continued. Finally, he ordered his forces to return to base, leaving behind only the remnants of the destruction they had wrought. Some of the forces were tasked with ensuring that no survivors remained, hunting down any stragglers to eliminate.
This event, known in hushed whispers as the Ngomeni Beach Massacre, would leave a dark mark on history. The brutal extermination of the EA forces and their survivors would forever be remembered as a savage display of the combined power of the SAU and Salvatia.
