it was a rainy day in saltburn. breakfast was served inside of course. oliver stood by the window watching alexandra who was sitting out in the heavy rain. she hadn't moved from that spot in hours. elsbeth and sir james called out for her to come to breakfast but she was glued to the ground.
elsbeth sighed, "she is going to catch a cold." she said concerned about the girls mental health. "it was nice of her to send flowers to the pamela's family though." sir james called out
felix spoke, "should i go get her?" he asked. farleigh blew air out from the cigarette he was smoking looking over at felix, "just give her time. she will eventually come around." he assured as felix looked at her from the window. oliver went and sat down quietly. venetia glared over at him, they made quick eye contact.
"she needs to not attach herself to people like pamela. it isn't healthy." elsbeth claimed in all seriousness. sir james defended, "oh dear. she is a good kid who wants to help people, plus it was obvious she saw pamela for more than what she truly was." he explained
"she still needs to reconsider who she gets close to. with her high status and her family name, she doesn't have time to become friends with low class people." elsbeth said coldly
felix quickly excused himself from breakfast before running outside to check on alexandra. the past two days, she was in her room. she had been laying in bed all day with everyone pretty much rotating to check in on her frequently but there wasn't much time for conversation due to her being asleep everytime they checked in on her.
"alex!!" felix called out while running to her. he quickly squatted down to her level to see her just staring ahead. she looked like a lost soul. that sparkle in her eyes was missing.
it made felix sad seeing her this way. he knew he had to do something to make her feel better. "alex, come on. let me get you inside." he pleaded before standing up reaching out for her hand. alexandra quickly looked up at him then at his hand before taking it.
they walked together silently. duncan was standing in the door way with towels for the both of them who were soaking wet and smelled like fresh rain. "thank you duncan." felix said as he wrapped the towel around alexandra. she looked over at duncan forcing a smile, "thank you." she said quietly
"you're welcome dear. go take a shower before you catch a cold." duncan demanded in a nice way, alexandra quickly nodded then made her way up to her room. she immediately headed into the bathroom and stripped out of the cold wet clothes. she then got into the shower, only God knows how long she was in there
when she got out, she immediately wrapped a huge pink towel around her body then one around her damp and wet hair. she then brushed her teeth then walked out of the bathroom and screamed upon seeing felix sitting at the edge of her bed, she quickly sighed. "i-i'm sorry. i didn't mean to scare you." he said quickly standing up
a deep sigh escaped from her lips. "it's fine. i just wasn't expecting anyone to be in here." she admitted. felix headed towards the door.
"you don't have to leave felix." she stated which made him go sit back down. she nervously walked over to him then sat down beside him. she took the towel off her head and began to scrunch the water out of her hair which didn't take long.
"how are you feeling?" felix suddenly asked
alexandra twisted her lips before shrugging, "i'm fine." she said honestly. she felt better after taking a shower. she was still shocked about pamela's death but she knew that life sadly goes on. despite her only knowing pamela for a short time, she knew she wouldn't want her to be upset.
alexandra just needed a few days to dissociate from everyone and get herself together. that is how she copes. being alone in her thoughts helps her feel better plus long, quiet naps
"you know, her family really was touched when they saw the flowers you sent them." felix quickly assured her making her look at him. "they were?" she asked happily, he nodded.
alexandra sighed, "thank God." she whispered. she remembered pamela mentioning her favorite flowers which are dahlia's. pamela's smile reappeared in her head. she thought about how happy pamela was telling her a specific story about those flowers and why they meant so much to her
"i'm sorry about not being considerate of your feelings a few days ago." he gently apologized.
alex bit her lip then shot him a small smirk, "it's okay, i forgive you." they both smiled and chuckled before looking down at their laps. the two then stared at each other for a few minutes until felix started leaning in..
alexandra was frozen, in a state of shock. he quickly closed his eyes pressing his soft lips against hers. she shut her eyes and kissed him back. she didn't expect to share her first kiss with him but she didn't seem to mind. felix immediately deepened the kiss by cupping her face. the two of them laid down, with felix on top of her.
he continued to kiss her while putting his hand in between her thighs. alexandra quickly tugged onto his shirt, "felix, wait." she said making him immediately stop
he looked into her eyes worried, "did i do something wrong?" he asked. she sighed before motioning for him to get up, "come on."
they both laid up and were back sitting at the edge of her bed. she licked her lips then nervously spoke up, "i'm not ready." she confirmed making felix look at her. he looked hurt upon hearing that
there was no doubt that both felix and alexandra had chemistry. they always have had it since they were young kids turning into teenagers despite them not seeing each other for quite some time. farleigh and venetia have sworn since they were young that the two of them would end up getting married.
sir james and elsbeth also believe that too along with donatella. alexandra definitely likes felix but she knows that just because she likes him doesn't mean that she has to lose her virginity to him. oliver let out a sigh of relief as he watched them through the crack of the door. he knew alexandra was too smart to fall for the trap
felix sighed, "i understand." he quickly coughed before standing up. alexandra didn't beg for him to speak. she knew she wasn't in the wrong. her aunt always tells her it is okay to say no and to stop if you don't want to proceed to the next step.
"i'm going let you get dressed and situated." felix announced, kissing her cheek before heading out of her room. he quietly shut the door leaving alexandra alone. she didn't hesitate to get up, then get dressed.
as soon as she laid down and shut her eyes, somebody knocked onto her door. she quickly got up to go open her door to see that it was oliver. a smile formed upon her lips seeing him, "oh hey!" she said excitedly.
she quickly made her bed up then sat on it. he was still standing in the doorway, she motioned to let him know it was okay to come inside. he slowly went to sit in a chair that was in the corner of her room
she quickly got off her bed and ran into the bathroom to grab a hairbrush. she then came back into the room and began to brush her hair while looking in the mirror. oliver quietly glimpsed over at her. the way she brushed her hair reminded oliver that she still was a young girl who was growing up trying to navigate through life as a teenager with high expectations.
she was wearing tight white camo top that exposed her collar bones. she had no bra on, revealing her cold nipples. for bottoms, she had on some vanilla lace ruffled shorts. even with wearing that, oliver still had a ton of respect for her. he noticed that she doesn't care what anyone has to say about her style.
"is everything okay?" she asked while keeping her eyes set on her reflection, just about done brushing her damp hair that was just about dry
"yeah." oliver nodded. "i just wanted to see if you were okay. i know the last few days have been hard for you." he brought up making her sigh
she instantly put the hair brush down onto the vanity before going plopping herself onto her bed. "i'm okay now. thank you for checking on me. i appreciate it so much." she said from her heart making sure to have direct eye contact with oliver who tried his best not to shudder
"i don't think you realize that you are such a good person..." oliver started making alexandra just stare at the floor. "i try my best."
"well, you do a great job." oliver complimented making her blush. she quickly changed the subject, "enough about me. how are you doing?" she asked genuinely
"i'd rather keeping talking about you." oliver proceeded to say with charm making alexandra chuckle then smirk, "why?"
"because you're very interesting to me." oliver admitted as his chin rested on his hand. he made sure to stare at her.
alexandra scoffed, "what's interesting about me? i'm probably a stereotypical wealthy teenager to you." she immediately assumed with sarcasm dripping from her lips
oliver chuckled, "you're quite far from that. genuinely you are one of the wealthy kids who fucking stands out in a good way." he said making her blush yet again which cause him to become confident within their conversation
"i really think you should reconsider who you surround yourself with." oliver insisted making alexandra frown, "what do you mean?" she asked confused before readjusting herself, she was now laying flat on her stomach. her arms were crossing over each other and she laid her chin down onto her arm while looking at him. oliver stood up making his way over to her.
he stood in front of her menacingly while making sure not to break eye contact. butterflies appeared in her stomach. he squatted down to her level yet again not breaking eye contact.
he then gently tucked a piece of hair behind her ear then seductively licked his lips, "because you and i both know you can do better." he stated before casually leaving her room causing her to lay there in complete silence, leaving her alone with her thoughts
