Chapter 52:: Caged

OMG I was reading this book from the start and realised how much editing it requires. :'D

~~~HUSSAIN's POV~~~
Arrey yaar, girana hi tha toh atleast ek jhappi Toh de jaati. Koi baat nahi madam, tumhein toh main bahaar pakarta hoon.
I ran outside, almost forgetting that this house was full of people right now. There she stood, chatting with the whole gang. I approached the group and realised that she was actually blushing and there was no chatting going on. Instead, they were teasing her. Kyun pareshaan kar rahe ho usse yaar? Hmph!
"Hey guys," I said casually as I stood right next to Preet.
"Time mil gaya?" Waqas smirked and Preet slowly shifted to her right.
I rubbed the back of my neck, "arrey bhai mere paas toh time hi time hai- ab kisi ko fursat nahi hai toh hum kya karein?"
Preet, who was now right in front of me but behind Kashish, blush and raised her eyebrows at me.
"Beghairat," Rajveer slapped my arm playfully, "mere saamne hi shuru ho gaya?" He narrowed his eyes and I chuckled.
"You know that word?" I asked, amused.
"Asmaara ki vocab hai," Kashish giggled and shook her head.
"Speaking of Asmaara, where is she?" Preet asked and Paige cleared her throat.
Uh okay?
"You guys look at Raj!" She pointed towards him. He stood by a pillar, awkwardly rubbing his back against it.
"Do you mind telling me what's going on?" Preet pulled Paige from her shoulder, forcing her to face her.
"Easy," Kashish frowned, "idhar hi kahi hogi."
"That's the problem, she is missing since this evening and I have been trying to ask these girls," Preet narrowed her eyes at Jess and Paige, who awkwardly exchanged looks and then looked away.
"She must be here somewhere," Paige shrugged.
"Looking for this maybe?" Preet brought her hand forward and showed them a black phone.
Both the sisters looked at each other and then glared at Preet as if they were watching a horror movie. Their facial colours had flushed completely.
"Where did you get this from?" They asked in unison. Something tells me that there is a lot of mess going on that not all of us know about.
"It was in Raj's room. He gave it to me," Preet told them, "and a pack of Laxatives too."
"Daar ji's medicine?" Kashish barged in the convo. The medicine she was talking about this morning?
"Now care?" Preet folded her arms in front of her chest.
"Asmaara dropped it in Raj's or Aditya's room last night. She just wanted to make him pay for what he did the other night but, ended up leaving the phone there," Paige told us.
No wonder Raj spent most of his day in the toilet. But, what did that he do? Did he tried harming her?!
"But if Preet has the phone then Raj knows that you guys did that?" Atif asked.
"Oh crap! Asmaara went to find it and she is not back yet!" Paige stammered while Jessica face palmed herself.
"How could we be so dumb to not go look for her? It's been 2 bloody hours," Jess cried, rubbing her forehead.
Preet ran a hand through her hair and dashed out of the hall, without giving any of us a chance to react.
"And all this time- I was so damn wrong!" Bhai groaned and punched the wall.
Jahaan bhi ho Asmaara- bas theek ho.
~~~ASMAARA's POV~~~**2 hours ago**

The door closed behind me, and the voice forced me to turn around. Aditya stood a couple of meters away from me with a smudged smirk on his face that I didn't quite like.

At all.

"Thought you'd never come?" He raised an eyebrow, shamelessly eyeing me.

"I was looking for Raj," I said, trying my best to stay calm, "I think I should go. Send him over soon, okay?"

I nervously smiled at him and tried walking past. Grabbing me by my waist, he pushed me backwards but, didn't let me loose my balance.

"Come on, stop playing hard to get, yeah?"he whispered as his hand touched my face.

Pushing his hand away, I calmly said, "everyone must be waiting. Let's go?"

"Who cares about everyone?" He chuckled and stepped closer, "I am here- you are here and I guess, that's all that matters!"

Iska mind kaunse track pe chal raha hai? Koi toh bacha lo?

"D-dekho, I...I am not that type of girl," I stammered. I was not calm anymore or angry; I was just too damn nervous. Nobody knows that I was here except Jess and Paige and even they think that I'll come back when I have the phone.

"And that's why you were in my room last night?" He asked slyly, "or were you there to spike my drink too?"

My eyes widened at his words and my feet absentmindedly began moving backwards. He knows that it was me? Ugh! Right now, I just wanted to be at a good distance from this guy. This freak.

"Wanna Know how I found out?" Aditya asked before I could make an excuse and leave. He pulled out his phone and pressed a few keys before shoving it in my face.

My heart stopped when I realised that there were cameras installed in the living room. "You see that thing in your hand? You left the similar one in this room," he hissed at me and I gulped down to stop my heart from popping out of my mouth.

"I don't know what you are talking about," I said quickly and walked past him but, again, he held me by my arm. I gasped as he pulled me towards him. His hands firmly clasped around both of my arms.

"Fine!" He yelled hoarsely and pushed me towards the timber and glass bar counter, "then you just came to just meet me last night, huh?"

A creepy grin escaped his lips as he loosened his tie, "stupid Shehry ruined the moment, didn't he? Well, let's finish it now!"

Shehry...

Aditya pulled the tie over his head and unbuttoned the top three buttons of his fine black shirt. I found myself paralysed in that very moment and my brain played dead too.

"You are one hell of a beauty," he whispered as he approached me. There was no where I could go. I was trapped.

I pushed myself as further away from him as possible. Yet, the counter behind me, didn't really help much until my fingers rubbed against something cold. Aditya leaned in closer and I looked away, only to find myself grasping on to a crystal glass bottle. Without giving it much of a thought, I threw the bottle at Aditya. He moved out of the way in time and I dreaded what came next.

Aditya threw me across the room and soon all I could see was blood before I blacked out.....

~

I woke up feeling sore all over my body. My head felt heavy and stuck in an awkward position. It was too dark in here and it didn't take me long to realise that I was locked up somewhere. I tried yelling for help but, in vein. My mouth was stuffed with a cloth and my hands were tied behind my back. This room was too small and the only light available was coming from under, what felt like, a door.

I tried pushing it but, my body had given up on me. The only thing I could think about was for how long was I out for and most importantly, what might have happened while I was unconscious? Lying there helpless, I cried silently for I don't know how long and my head had began hurting again. The door opened a little and light filled in, revealing neatly piled and hanged clothes

I was in a cupboard!

"Someone's up!" I heard Aditya's voice. I could imagine him grinning at my pathetic state.

I groaned at him and that was all I could do. A stream of tears rolled down my eyes again.

"Bitch, I guess I'd let my brother make you pay for it," I heard him say, "I'll let him deal with you. Till then act like a good girl and stay still."

With that said, he slammed the door and I heard the main door opening and then shutting loudly. I sunk deeper into my spot and rested my head on the wall. Aditya's word made me feel a little better as it meant that he didn't do anything while I was out but, it also freaked me out.

Make me pay for it ... What are they going to do?

Koi toh aa jaao, Please ...

~~~PREET's POV~~~
I furiously rushed out of the house, impatient to see Asmaara all fit and fine. God knows what state she might be in right now? I will get to you soon- just stay strong!
A few voices called out for me but, there was one that I could hear so clearly.
"Preet wait!" Bani pulled my shoulder harshly, "where do you think you are going? Its your sangeet and-"
"For effin's sake, Bani! Stop acting like you own me!" I snapped back at her. There were people watching us but, I didn't give a damn.
"You are not my mom, or my sister. Damn! You are not even a friend anymore so, LET. ME. BE," I yanked off her hand and she looked quite upset about my sudden outburst.
"I was just-"
"Instead of keeping an eye on me, keep a watch on what your so called ideal cousins are up to," I didn't give her a chance to speak, "if he dares to even touch Asmaara, you know what her parents are capable of doing and I'll make sure that he suffers."
"They would never do something like that!" Bani stuttered, running a hand through her hair.
"Really?" I whispered, sarcastically and left her standing there, confused.
I have had enough crap from Bani, Raj and Aditya. I don't think I can control my frustration and anger anymore. My tolerance limit has honestly reached its breaking point...
~~~ASMAARA's POV~~~
**half an hour ago**

Loud ruffling woke me up again. I squinted my eyes when the cupboard's door opened. I saw a familiar face, frowning at the display of clothes. Shehry stood so close but, he didn't look at me. He was probably searching for me? Maybe they finally realised that I was missing the whole night?

I tried my best to scream even with the cloth stuffed in my mouth, however my body had drained out of energy and my head spun continuously. He reached out and grabbed some clothes off the rack. His face disappeared again and the light slowly began to fade. Trying the best I could, I moved my jammed legs and a few files fell off the shelf. Yes, open the cupboard now, please?

"Don't bother, I'll fix it," Aditya's voice killed all my hopes. Shehry was here to pick an outfit for Raj and not to find me.

While the two chatted, I tried my best move somehow. Stretching my legs, I tried reaching for another pile but, that didn't fall like the first one. An annoying, frustrating feeling took over me and I felt awfully helpless. Using that as my strength, I managed to push my head against the wall and slide across the shelf. Before I could step out or even make any sound, Aditya noticed me.

I watched Shehry walk out in front of me and I could do nothing to stop him. I wanted to run after him; call him. If only my mouth and feet weren't tied up. I rolled off the shelf and fell, banging my head on the cold harsh floor.

"Bitch!" Aditya came back, groaning in a hushed tone and slapped me, making my face jerk sideways. My cheek stung as tears escaped my eyes.

Grabbing me by my hair, he dragged me across the floor and threw me on the bed. He untied the ties that he had used to tie my legs and took the handkerchief out of my mouth. I coughed, longing for water. My throat was dry and painful.

With a smirk on his face, Aditya walked back to the bar and filled a glass for himself. I quietly sat there, wondering how long I have been in this room while he peacefully sipped away his drink.

"Care to share?" Aditya's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked up to meet his lustful gaze.

I absentmindedly shifted in my spot and pulled my knees to my chins. Aditya chuckled, getting off the stool. He ran a hand through his hair and walked over to me. As he sat down, I rolled over to the other side of the bed.

"You know you can't escape, so stop trying!" He yelled loosing his cool and I got off the bed.

"Let me go and let's just forget that this night ever happened," I pleaded as tears threatened to fall from my eyes again.

Be strong, Asmaara! Koi toh zaroor aayega.

Aditya stared at me for a few seconds and then shook his head. He grinned before looking up at me with his evil eyes.

"The night has just begun, babe," he laughed, holding his stomach like he was really enjoying it.

I saw nothing but filth in his eyes. These two brothers just disgust me so much! I can't believe what I was supporting Preet for.

"You should be thankful that you are not in that cupboard anymore," Aditya said as he approached me, "letting you go is too much to ask for."

All I did was spike Raj's drink. How is that such a big deal that he could ruin someone's life like this?

Aditya was a few inches away from me when his cold hand reached my face. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before kicking him in his stomach. My hands were tied behind my back but, that can't stop me from running. While he crouched down, I raced to the door.

Before I could twist the door knob, Aditya straighten up again and walked over to me. My heart was racing in my chest as he snaked his arm around my waist and lifted me off the ground. He stumbled back to the bed while I screamed as loud as I could.

"Let me go!" I yelled, kicking his legs.

"Ah! Stop it!" He kept me down and raised his hand again. I covered my face and closed my eyes, clearly not ready for it.

However that slap never reached my face.

"What do you think you are doing?" I heard a voice I didn't expect in a million years.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Aditya yelled at Bani, who was holding his arm in the air.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She spat back, jerking his arm away from me.

"Listen, this is my house and you need to stay out of my matters!" Aditya yelled, stepping towards Bani.

"What if I don't?" Bani hissed, looking straight into his eyes, "what if I don't, Aditya?!"

"Agh! I wonder how your family tolerates you!" He harshly pushed Bani away. I gasped as she stumbled backwards.

If he can do this to his own cousin, then he can do anything with me.

I just can't handle this anymore....
