Chapter 08:: Guilty!
Hey!
So, I was going through my star cast, making a lil' collage of all the lovely Ladies and realised that Naveen Waqar doesn't exactly fit Asmaara's character. I want to change it to Surbhi Jyoti.
YUP Preet isn't in the pic since I haven't casted anyone as her. (Although I personally imagine Yami Gautam)
Oh and I have made a few changes in the cast which aren't showing up on latest chapters but they are there in author's rant section. THAT INCLUDES:: full name of Preet is SIMARPREET KAUR and not GURPREET KAUR. LOL it used to sound so aunty-like.

~~~PREET's POV~~~
"Vacancy!" Hussain chirped as if no one else could see the board, "let's go before anyone else get to it."
He said to Shehry, quickly shifting his gaze at me. What does he mean by before anyone else get to it?
"Guys, lets go!" He said Pretty much at the same time as I did. We looked at each other awkwardly while the others broke into laughter, leading the way to the Motel.
Aghhr!
There was a board outside saying that only a family room was available. Reading that, Hussain and Adeel raced past us to get to the reception but my girls weren't any less. Asmaara and I sprinted while Jess and Paige stopped Hussain and Bani struggled to block Adeel's way. Being the tiny ones in the group, they couldn't hold them for long.
"Vacancy?" Panting for air, I reached the counter first.
"Yup. Only one Room for 7 available," the lady in navi blue dress informed us.
"Yeah we are five girls," Asmaara said, handing her the cash.
"3 days available only," she smiled. No problem, we will figure something out.
"We can pay you extra!" A voice came from behind us.
It belonged to the one and only, Hussain Asif. He seems so annoying in person that I wonder how did I even ended up having a crush on him 4 years ago. Yup, the girls don't know a thing about it and I couldn't tell them especially when all I used to do was pinch on little things about celebrities; the way they acted in public and how they really might be in real life. I mean, he was the first celebrity that I actually thought was like an open book. But no, all of them are the same; they change girlfriends like tissue paper, they play the pretend game and manipulate others. Self obsessed irritating creatures; That's what they are after they reach a certain hight of fame.
"Sir, are you trying to bribe me? You know that it's a crime, right?" She narrowed her eyes at him before handing us the keys.
I winked at Bani who was just walking in as Hussain grumpily exited the room.
~~~HUSSAIN's POV~~~
What on Earth does she think of herself? First she insulted me, then I wasted my time saving her and now she took our room! At least she could have let us have the room since we saved her but no! The female species only demand favours but doesn't actually end up returning them in a million years. Not even one of them could be trusted except Mama and Maha. My two most favourite ladies in the world.
They walked out behind a tall white man with a slight beard. He must be a waiter. Preet followed after him but not before rolling her eyes at me. Probably she did realise how much she was irritating me. One thing good about this room was that I wouldn't have to put up with her anymore. Thank goodness!
"Oye! Chal we have to find another room," bhai let out a slight giggle as if it wasn't a big deal. It was getting late and there was no Vacancy anywhere.
"Aur karo help!"
We unloaded their bags and were about to drive off when I heard some one call out in a Punjabi tone. There came Bani followed by Preet.
Ab kya jale par namak chidakne aayi hai?!
"There are only 7 allowed in that room," Bani said like we didn't know that already.
"We will have to sneak you guys in at night since there is no extra bedding service available," Preet continued.
This can't be her idea; I am sure about that.
"So what exactly are we doing till then?" I blurted out of curiosity.
"Let's go out and get some groceries," Preet said, casually.
Really now? Grocery shopping and me?
"What?" Preet shot an eye at me, "It is a motel; you have to cook your own food here. No room service so get that ass moving."
She giggled and climbed in the back seat. Bhai and Adeel were tired so they decided to stay back while Waqas went around trying his luck for the last time.
~~~BANI's POV~~~
I'll kill Asmaara for sending me along with these two idiots! Not even one item they bought without arguing about brands. If Preet wanted Green Valley milk then Hussain went for Dairy Dale and if Hussain asked for roasted chicken then Preet wanted fish; in short, we had doubles of everything and more than enough food to last one night. Same flavoured chips but three different brands, Pepsi cans and bottles, cheese blocks and slices. The list could just go on forever.
"Add two champaign bottles and six beer cans to it," Preet walked in just before Hussain was about to pay.
"You guys drink?" Hussain asked in amusement.
Since when, I wonder. I have never seen Preet even touch that thing before or have I missed heaps over the years? Damn Asmaara and her influence!
I just shrugged my shoulders, trying not to look surprised myself... Or I should probably say 'shocked'.
"Society," Preet mumbled.
"Excuse me?" Hussain asked. Here we go again!
"Only because I am a girl, you think I don't or I can't drink?" She questioned.
Really now?
"No, I was just asking," Hussain sighed, looking away.
"Then don't."
What's up with this girl. She sure is embarrassing me in front of the one and only Hussain Asif. Gosh! Stop it Preet!
"Too bad. I hold every right to since I am the one paying," he teased her before passing 2 notes of $100 to the cashier.
"Then don't. I can pay for my own grocery," Preet handed in the money to the cashier who stared at both of them. He sure was irritated by the two of them, considering the line behind us.
~~~HUSSAIN's POV~~~
"Don't listen to her, mate. I am paying," I shoved the money right in the cashier's face.
"No, I can pay for myself," she grunted.
"Save it for later."
Oh how much I was enjoying teasing her right now.
"Oh please I have more than what you will ever earn so don't brag about how rich you are."
Ouch!
Since she has involved our financial status then I can't let her pay at any cost now.
"Let me pay," I took a few steps forward hoping for her to move back this time but she still stayed glued to her spot.
"Nope don't even try that. Your pretend game wont work on me since I can see right through you, Mr Asif. There are no hidden cameras here so you don't have to act all goodie-goodie as we both know that you might as well just be the opposite of that. Your charm may trick the media but Simarpreet Kaur is a handful to get around with."
Her words left me speechless. Does she really think whatever I do is to impress the media and to gain fan following? By paying for some grocery, does she think that I will have another scenario to brag about later on? Is my image that screwed up in her eyes?
God Damn! She doesn't even know me.
~~~PREET's POV~~~
I hesitantly looked up at him. He looked so hurt as he slowly pulled away his hand. Good Lord, I swear this is not what I wanted to say. Yeah I had a fight with him, yup we have been arguing all along but that doesn't mean that I have the right to judge him so harshly. Will I ever stop looking at the celebrities the way I do? Especially this handsome creature with a perfectly toned body, a dazzling smile and those brown eyes to die for. His laugh on screen and off-screen is the same and the way he respects his brother is so rare these day. He is a film star and famous as heck but its visible how down to earth he is. If it wasn't simplicity, then he wouldn't have been walking around a supermarket in flip-flops and dirty casuals. Plus, Adeel being his assistant or whatever, would have been here with us and not Hussain.
"How about you two pay half and half?" Bani suggested, breaking the awkward silence.
The cashier sighed in relief as he took a note from my hand and one from his, giving us the change of $40 altogether. Before I could reach out, Hussain picked up all the bags and walked back to the car.
"Seriously, Preet?" Bani nudged me.
I said nothing.
The car ride felt far too uncomfortable. Guilty, thats what I was.
Rude. Isn't she? But don't hate her as she has her own reasons.
Don't forget to leave a comment and tell me why do you think Preet said what she said and what will happen next ?
Don't Forget to vote HAHA
Love Always!
