*Third POV:

It was the first day of being a member on "Finding Harmony: the dating show" for shuichi. It's only been an hour and the poor boy was sweating bullets in the corner of his room on the black couch. Just waiting to be called on to the stage by his best friend kaede, the host and also the person responsible for getting shuichi on the show, and all he cared about and wanted right now was to get this over with. He didn't really think he would find anyone on the show, he never really focused on finding love and instead just worked on cases and tried to improve more on his work. Of course kaede wasn't having that any longer, the poor boy lived alone and only worked , and kaede was determined to find him love so he wouldn't be alone anymore. Who knows if her plan will succeed though..

There was still two hours left til' show time, and shuichi was hesitant to go back outside after he accidently spilt his black coffee onto one of the cast members white shirts, and just waited in his room.

He repeatedly said sorry to the worker that was soaked in hot black coffee, as he was shook like a leaf. He hadn't moved from his spot until kaede walked him to his room and comforted him until she had to leave and check on the other members and get ready for the show.

"I'm so stupid.." shuichi mumbled into his arm as he held his legs closer to his body, but released when he saw his phone's screen light up. He reached over and looked at the bright screen to see who it was. He flinched a bit and adjusted his eyes to the light before seeing there was a message from kaede .

Kaede: tsumugi is on her way with her equipment! So be prepared! I'll see ya later! Bye!

Shuichi: ah, okay?

After replying he turned off his phone and set it down on the black, soft cushion to his left. He got up about to check if he looked okay, but jumped at a loud knock on the door. "I guess she's here.." he says while taking small deep breaths in hopes of slowing his racing heart.

He walks slowly over to the door and opens it , revealing a slightly taller, blue headed woman. "Woah any slower and the show would already be over with" she says while giggling. "Heh, sorry.." shuichi replies with a shy smile. "I was just joking .anyways hello, I'm tsumugi , it's nice to meet you!" She says joyfully while holding her hand out , only for shuichi to shyly grab it and shake. "I-im shuichi saihara" before shuichi could say anything else tsumugi barges in with a rolling cart behind her filled with make-up and accessories.

*Shuichi's POV:

"U-um ..what exactly are you going to do to me?" I ask after I closed the door. She unpacked everything and set it on the big white vanity that sat on the left side of the room. "Nothing much, just the basics like some foundation , mascara , and light eyeliner" she replied.

(light eyeliner, as in it's a thinner line and isn't so wild and dramatic y'know ? Sorry for interrupting just wanted to explain what I meant)

Once she finished setting everything up , she pulled out a chair that now sat a few inches away from the vanity, and patted the tall chair signaling she wanted me to sit down. I obeyed and walked over to the chair and sat down. She immediately got to work and put what I think was ivory colored foundation on a teal makeup sponge thing. She then placed the cold substance on my face, I flinched at the feeling, but slowly got used to it and stayed still. Tsumugi spreaded the substance all over my face making sure not to miss a spot. She then grabbed another product that looked similar to foundation , but was in a tube and looked thicker. I looked at the bottle once she put it down, it had "concealer" written on it.

I flinched once more as she put it under my eyes. "Try to relax and not flinch so much, kay?" I slightly nodded in response.
"Good ,now close your eyes" I did as she said and closed my eyes. I felt her dab the concealer under my eye and on my eyelid. After a few seconds all I heard was her rummaging through bags "ahh where is it?!" I heard her whine. I opened my eyes to see her digging in a bright blue, make-up bag only to pull out black eyeliner.. don't ask how nor why I know what it is..

She sighed in relief "there it is.". I closed my eyes again as I felt the soft brush glide across my skin. "Okay now open your eyes again" after I opened my eyes and saw she was holding mascara. She held the brush to my long eyelashes and brushed through them with the black , thick, product. She then grabbed sparkly powder and patted my face. "Achoo-" I made a small sneeze as the powder made its way to my nose. "Awe, bless you" tsumugi said as I blushed lightly.

"Annnnd done!" Tsumugi said as Im assuming she finished. "Aww you look so adorable! Well it looks like my job here is complete! See ya shuichi!" I looked away in embarrassment at being called adorable, but looked back at her as she grabbed her supplies and neatly put them back in their rightful places.

Once she finished packing her tools she turned back around and said "oh! Before I forget, someone will be by here soon to take you to the stage , okay? And please for the love of junko enoshima don't mess up your make-up" she said pulling her glasses up and glaring at me. I felt a shiver go down my spine when feeling her cold glare peirce through my very soul..she's scary.
She then smiled innocently once more and placed a tag on my lap that had my name and picture on it like a school ID. I stared at her confusingly "you'll need it for the show" I nodded slightly in response , understanding her reasoning.
She waved goodbye and left the room.

30 minutes later

It's been thirty minutes and I've just been sitting on the couch drinking the black coffee kaito, one of the workers, brought me , but..it was all empty now. So I sat quietly and just read 'an unusual adventure' on Wattpad.

I then felt a sudden urge to go to the bathroom. I got up and walked to the door. Before I exited I brushed off my black clothes and fixed my hair a bit. Once I opened the door I was hit with a strong beam of light. I squinted for a few seconds until my eyes adjusted to the bright lights.

After asking someone where the restroom was I started to walk towards the direction they pointed.
'I'm kinda nervous still..of course I've been on TV before..but..never on a dating show. Kaede told me that I just needed to sit in a chair while I asked the contestants questions and decide who I would want to try going out with. Although I memorized the steps..I couldn't help but worry about messing up and possibly embarrassing myself infront of a huge crowd..' so lost in thought and losing attention to my surroundings, I bumped into someone . I panicked as I looked down and saw a young boy with wild purple hair sitting on the ground. "AH- I'm so s-sorry! I wasn't p-paying attention!" I stuttered out as I had once again embarrassed myself. I reached a hand out to them and pulled them up. "I'm so s-sorry.." the boy pouted "ahh great my clothes are all messed up!" I closed my eyes and repeatedly said I was sorry. He just chuckled "I'm just joking, your fine. Nishi~" I opened my eyes and looked at him..but froze once I saw his big purple, sparkling eyes. I studied his small , pale face and blushed.. he was cute.he had a cute button nose, thin soft lips, and big eyes that reminded me of the night sky. "Take a picture it'll last longer" he said smirking. I felt my face heat up as I became aware of what I was doing and was even more of a stuttering mess. "I'm s-sorry i-i didn't mean to- I wasn't- I-" I continued to (gay) panic as I spat out random words which no longer made sense. The boy simply giggled "it's alright , sheesh I was just joking. Or maybe that's just a lie and I'm completely serious?or am I telling the truth? Who knows really!" He winked as I felt my face get slightly hotter. I shook it off and looked at him , curious if he was lying or not.

The purple boy smiled widely showing off his pearly whites and walked passed me to the opposite direction than to where I was heading "well this was fun! I hope to see you again Mr. Saihara!" "H-how did you?" He turned around "it's on your tag silly" he stuck his tongue out at me playfully and winked again before walking away into the busy crowd.

'Wait-'

'What was his name?'

'Crap I didn't ask..
And he was probably wearing a tag too.
How did I even forget I put the tag on that tsumugi gave me?? '
I mentally facepalm and sighed
'some detective I am..'
I thought to myself as I had finally reached the bathroom.

!! Time skip to after his business trip bc I don't want to write that and it's unimportant to write about his-!!

I was back sitting in the dark corner of my room scrolling through my phone once again, but looked away from the screen when I heard a knock on the door. I looked at the time and then to the door 'guess it's time to go on stage..oh boy..' . I got up and unlocked the door and looked at the male standing at the door wearing a headset and holding a clipboard, "um. Hello-" the man looked up from his clipboard to me "hey, are you shuichi Saihara?" I nodded in response.
He looked at my ID before turning around and slowly walking off "follow me to the stage." I obeyed and just silently followed the taller male.

I held my phone to my chest and looked down at the ground not daring to look at anyone in the face as we walked. After awhile of walking I looked up seeing we were at the stage. "Just walk up those steps and sit the chair next to ms. Akamatsu. I did as told and slowly walked up the steps and sat in one of the grey chairs. I looked down at my lap trying to calm myself before we went live.

"Are you ready?" I heard kaede whisper to me as other people stepped on to the stage.i took one last deep breath, nodding and looking up at her. "Were going live in ..3..2..1!" Someone yelled in the background. I turned my head to the chairs and my eyes widened. 'hes here' I told myself as I stared at the purple haired boy I had ran into earlier. I blushed and stared once more, completely blocking out the others introductions until he spoke. "The names kokichi oma! I'm the ultimate supreme leader!~" he winked at me. I felt my face get hot as our eyes locked in one another's gaze. "I'm s-shuichi, Shuichi s-saihara, t-the ultimate d-detective." I stuttered out not looking away this time. It felt like it was just us two, like we weren't even on a stage anymore. His bright purple orbs trapping me in another trance as I kept my gaze.
'is this what they call love at first sight..?'

WOOO I FINISHED! that took way longer than intended-

At least I finished it , lol. This will probably be the only one-shot for a while- qwq sorry

But I'll try to get to completing some request and a few of my own personal story ideas.
