It was the Monday before the Fourth of July when two new inseparable twin mysteries rolled into town, just before all the chaos ensues.

Maggie and Maverick sat in the back of their fathers red Jeep, looking out the windows watching the scenery pass by as they made their way towards their new home.

Finally the town sign comes into view and Maggie reads the words printed on it out loud, "Welcome to Riverdale, the town with pep!"

Maverick scoffs, "Town with pep my ass."

"Come on Maverick, give the place a chance maybe you'll like it here." Their father says from the front seat.

"It's so pretty here. Look at the river!" Maggie says, observing the scenery with a small smile on her face.

Whether her twin was unhappy or not, Maggie was excited for this fresh new start in Riverdale because she never made friends at her old school.

As more of the town comes into view a smile pulls its way onto Maggie's face, she looks at the retro diner as Walker says, "Welcome to Riverdale kids. If you look to the left, you'll see Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, which has amazing food and milkshakes. It's also the place we are eating supper tonight after we get these boxes unloaded."

"Sounds like a plan dad!" Maggie says as she looks over at her twin who's still looking out the window.

Maverick turns to look at Maggie, the first genuine smile coming onto his face, "I could go for a milkshake right about now."

Walker chuckles, "When can you not go for a milkshake, Mav?"

"Very true dad, I love me some milkshakes." Maverick says with a slight laugh.

"My milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard." Maggie sings before giggling.

Walker starts to pull into the driveway of their new house, "We're here kiddos, this is our new home."

"Home sweet home, I am so ready to be out of this Jeep!" Maggie says as she unbuckles her seatbelt before stepping out and stretching.

Maverick and Walker follow suit, unblocking their belts before stepping out of the Jeep themselves. The three walk up to their front door before Walker unlocks it and opens it for the three of them.

The family walks around their new home, seeing where everything is before heading to the second floor where the bedrooms were, entering the master bedroom which would be Walker's and the other tw0 bedrooms that the twins could decide between.

They walk into the first bedroom and it's a decently sized bedroom, with a nice closet and a window overlooking the front street.

Next they walk into the second bedroom, this one is the same size as the last with a matching closet but what differentiates this one from the other is the beautiful bay window overlooking their little backyard and forest behind their house, and the door to the bedroom is a bright red door.

"Mav, can I call dibs on this one? I am loving that bay window with the cute little window seat and red door." Maggie says with a smile in her brothers direction.

"Sure thing Mags, it's all yours I preferred how close the other was to the bathroom anyway." Maverick says with a chuckle.

"Now that that is settled, we need to unpack the uhaul trailer and put the boxes in their respective rooms so we can unpack." Walker says, smiling at his twins as they exit what will be Maggie's room and head downstairs and outside to unpack the uhaul.

They leave their front door open and start grabbing boxes and carrying them to the room labeled on the boxes in their hands.

When they head outside to grab a few more boxes a red headed boy around the twins age and what looked to be his father were standing near the uhaul.

"Can I help you?" Walker asked the two in front of him.

"Are you moving here?" The man asks.

"Yeah we are, I used to live in Riverdale growing up until when I was a teenager my parents had me move away to Chicago. I recently got divorced so I took my twins and left, came back here to Riverdale." Walker says to the man before him.

"In that case, welcome back to Riverdale, and welcome to Riverdale kids. I'm Fred Andrews and this is my boy Archie, we live two houses down in the yellow house." Fred says to the new family in front of him.

"Fred Andrews... it's been awhile hasn't it? I didn't even recognize you. It's Walker, Walker Lapointe! And these are my fraternal twins Maggie and Maverick." Walker says to his old friend.

"Walker! Buddy! It's been forever! I'm glad to see you back here in Riverdale. Do you need help carrying boxes in? Me and Archie can help." Fred offers.

"That would be great Fred, it probably would take us all day just the three of us." Walker says before they all start grabbing boxes.

Archie grabs a box that has Maggie's name on it before trailing behind them, "Maggie, which is your room?"

"Follow me Archie." Maggie says, the girl also holding one of her own boxes in her hands.

Once she arrives at the door she pushes the red door open and sits her box in the pile, Archie doing the same after.

"And the room across the hall is Mavericks. And the master bedroom is dad's." Maggie says with a smile on her face.

"So are you and Maverick going to Riverdale high?" Archie asks as they walk back to the truck, Maverick catching up to them.

"Yes we are. Hopefully this so called town with pep can handle my sarcasm." Maverick says with a chuckle, sending a friendly smile in Archie's direction.

"Mav's sarcasm is top of the line, I don't think anyone can top it." Maggie says with giggle.

"Well maybe him and my friend Jughead would get along. He also has some impeccable sarcasm." Archie says as the three grab more boxes, heading back into the house with them afterwards.

"Then we must meet this Jughead character." Maverick says with a smile.

An hour or so later they had all of the boxes and furniture carried into the house, all five of them sitting down on the couch to take a brief break after finishing unpacking the uhaul.

"Thanks for the help you two, would you want to join us for milkshakes and dinner at Pop's? My treat. I miss that place." Walker says looking at Fred and Archie.

"That sounds great, let's head over there now then because I am starving." Fred says before they all head to their cars and drive to Pop's.

When they all arrive at Pop's they walk through the doors at around eight pm to an almost empty restaurant minus one guy who looked about their age with a beanie perched on his head back towards them writing on a computer.

The group sit a few tables behind the guy, Pop bringing them five menus to look at before they order their food.

"I'd like a hot dog with fries and a chocolate milkshake." Maggie says to Pop.

"I want a hamburger, fries, and a vanilla milkshake." Maverick says next.

Walker ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a strawberry milkshake and Archie and Fred ordered the same thing as he did.

At the sound of the new voices Jughead tries to inconspicuously look behind him at the new characters, seeing the blue haired girl, a brown haired boy, and what looked like their brown haired bearded father sitting at a table with Archie Andrews and his father.

Knocking him out of his thoughts Pop brings him another coffee, "Here Jughead I see you were running low."

"Thanks Pop, you're the best." Jug says with a smile before getting back to his writing.

Archie looks up and sees Jughead's beanie, wanting to invite him to join but didn't know if they other family would mind.

"Do you mind if my friend Jughead over there joins us?" Archie asks the group.

"I don't mind, I'm sure the twins want to make more friends." Walker says with a kind smile.

"He's FP's kid, and he has a little girl too named Jellybean. Jughead's a good kid." Fred says to Walker.

"Wow, FP had kids? I never saw him as the parenting type. How is he any way? We need to to reunite The Fred Heads." Walker says with a chuckle as Archie goes over to invite Jughead to join them.

Reluctantly Jughead says yes, curious as to all the mysteries those two new twins and their father held.
