Haylee's pov

''when you were a about four you went missing we searched for three months we were losing hope then your dad out of no where caught your scent on a trail we were on and we followed it and we saw you playing with a man we didn't know who he was he was a weird man he rubbed me the wrong way especially when he looked at me when we ran to get you we were thrown back to the tree's then before we knocked out we saw you and the man go in the house and it exploded and we knocked out twelve years later here you are..'' mom said

''we woke up to nothing but ash we saw the house and it was completely burned we looked around and saw bones and we thought they were yours and we broke down crying we ran to the pack and told them and to this day we don't know who took you'' she said

''what did the man look like'' i said hoping it wasn't who i had in mind.

''tall kind of a tanish color hazel eyes he was around his twenties probably twenty four'' she said

''did he have a scar on his chin'' i said and she nodded and my heart broke.

''you know him'' she said

''know him?'' i said

''yeah'' she said

''he's my foster dad'' i said and looked at adrian.

''what'' adrian said

''this is too much for today okay can i please leave'' i said

''haylee its too dangerous'' mom said

''well right now i don't know who to trust okay so please let me leave'' i said

''let her'' dad said to adrian blocking the door and i walked out and ran off.

My foster dad... why this makes no sense he's been nothing but nice to me..so has my foster mom...i didn't know what to do or what to think..

I walked to the ice cream parlor and i saw james walk out and look at me and i panicked and i started to run and he ran after me.

He caught up to me and grabbed me by the hair and i yelled and all that i saw was pure anger.

''where the hell have you been hm?'' he said

''walking'' i said

''dont lie to me!'' he yelled and threw me on the ground and i tried to run but i stopped myself.

''her wolf has to be suppressed'' adrian's words went through my head.

If she's suppressed then i can bring her out all i need to do is get my adrenaline up.

I got up and looked at james and i wiped my pants.

''im sick of your fucking shit james of the beatings'' i said and went through all the beatings in my head so i could start to get angry.

''you raping me'' i said and i popped my knuckles.

''of everything you have ever fucking done to me'' i said and i felt power starting to rush through my veins

''i wont have it anymore'' i growled and the next thing i knew i was standing over him ripping him apart.

When i backed away i ran back to adrian's house. I knocked on the door with my snout and adrian opened the door.

''who is it'' i heard and he looked up and saw the blood on my mouth and he put his finger to his mouth.

''no one just my friend ill be back later ma'' he said and he grabbed his jacket and a blanket and he led me to the woods.

''who did you kill'' his voice rang through my head and i jumped and he laughed and i tilted my head in confusion.

''here ill help you shift back then we can go through everything else'' he said and i nodded he took me to a cabin and he went inside and grabbed some water's and spread the blanket on the floor.

''okay now you have to follow what i say okay'' he said and i hesitated but nodded.

''okay now close your eyes and focus on your skin focus on walking on two feet'' he said and i followed what he said.

''well that's not supposed to happen'' he said and i opened the eyes and notice that i didn't shift.

''it's supposed to work unless something is holding you back'' he said and i sat down.

''you can do it hayes'' he said and i looked at him.

I tried again and i felt the fur seep into my skin and he covered me up and i threw the jacket on.

''thank you'' i said

''so who was it'' he said and i looked down.

''i killed him and i didn't mean too'' i said

''who?'' he said

''james'' i said and he gave me a hug and i cried.

''i don't know what to do adrian'' i said and he rubbed my head.

''you're gonna be okay alright'' he said

''i can help'' he said and i nodded and we walked inside and he got me a cold water bottle and covered me up.

''why are you so nice to me'' i said

''because'' he said

''because why'' i said

''because you have been right in front of me for twelve years but i just never payed attention'' he said

''what makes me so confused is that they never tried to hurt me they loved me and when they left they trusted james not to hurt me either so it confuses me'' i said

''i know it confuses me too'' he said

I looked around and started to realize we were in a house.

''who's house is this'' i said

''mine'' he said and i widened my eyes.

''your's??'' i said

''yeah i had the warrior's make it for me i needed a place to run away too and the best part no one but the warrior's i trust know'' he said and i nodded

''so no one can find us'' i said and he shook his head.

''good'' i said and sighed.

''do you want to take a nap?'' he said and i nodded and i layed my head on his shoulder and he put his arms over me and i closed my eyes and i drifted off to sleep.

Adrian's pov

She was beautiful. Stunning. Just beyond gorgeous i couldn't get over the fact of just how amazingly beautiful she was. I hope that when i turn seventeen she's the one..........
