Talent Show
(Requested by @mangle234 )
(Whoever requested one too I'll do next but I forgot their name I'm bad with names)
There was going to be a school talent show, and Sabine and Ezra both wanted to win.
They both had crushes on each other, but neither knew that the other did.
"Sabine, are you on our planet?" Sabine's friend, Ketsu, asked at lunch, snapping Sabine out of her thoughts.
"I am now," Sabine said.
"Are you still worrying about that silly talent show?" Ketsu said.
"Of course I am. How else am I-" She stopped mid-sentence as Ezra walked by and then sat down with his friends about a table away.
"Are you going to what?"
"Tell Ezra how I feel about him," Sabine whispered.
Ketsu rolled her eyes.
"Why do you want a boyfriend?"
"Because I like him," Sabine said.
"Whatever."
"Ketsu, do you know any good love songs?"
"Oh, No. I don't want a boyfriend at all. I'm not even into this whole talk of 'love'."
"Weird, but OK," Sabine said.
♡Ezra's table♡
Ezra sat down.
"Something wrong?" Ezra's friend, Zeb, asked.
Zeb was a year older then him.
"Just thinking about the talent show."
"Are you still obsessing over that? It's tomorrow! You should have this all figured out by now."
"I know! I should!" Ezra said, banging his head on the table.
"Well, you could sing."
"Last time I sang in public people threw popcorn at me, and when it was still really hot."
"That was yesterday. It was only because you were singing a song no one likes anymore."
"Then what should I sing?" Ezra said, raising his head and looking at Zeb.
"Attention."
"I'm listening."
"No, the song, Attention."
"Well, I better get to work."
♡Sabine's house♡
"Ugh!" Sabine said as she threw a piece of paper on the ground.
"What now?" Ketsu asked, turning off her phone.
It kept buzzing, and it was like her group chat never stopped talking.
"I still can't decide on a song, and the contest us tomorrow night!"
"Well, tomorrow us Saturday, so you'll have plenty of time to figure it out then."
"It's not just deciding a song- it's learning the song, Ketsu!"
"I'll ask these guys," Ketsu said, and typed something in.
"They said There's Nothin Holding Me Back."
"Hmmm, that could work," Sabine said, getting an idea.
♡Talent Show♡
"Next up: Thrawn and the other cool guys!" The announcer said.
"Well, I'm up after them. Wish me luck," Sabine said to Ketsu.
"I did like three hours ago, your going to need it. Those judges are tough."
When Thrawn's band finished, Sabine waved to Ketsu and walked up to the stage when she was announced.
"Hi, I'm Sabine," Sabine said into the microphone. "Today I'll be singing There's Nothin Holding Me Back."
Ketsu had the urge to cover herself, incase she had to rescue Sabine from flying popcorn.
Sabine began:
"I wanna follow where he goes
I think about him and he knows it
I wanna let him take control
'Cause everytime that he gets close, yeah
He pulls me in enough to keep me guessing
And maybe I should stop and start confessing
Confessing, yeah
Oh, I've been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there's nothing holding me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there's nothing holding me back
There's nothing holding me back
There's nothing holding me back
He says that he's never afraid
Just picture everybody naked
He really doesn't like to wait
Not really into hesitation
Pulls me in enough to keep me guessing
And maybe I should stop and start confessing
Confessing, yeah
Oh, I've been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there's nothing holding me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there's nothing holding me back
There's nothing holding me back
'Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
'Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far
But I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark
I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright
Oh, I've been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there's nothing holding me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there's nothing holding me back
There's nothing holding me back
I feel so free when you're with me, baby
Baby, there's nothing holding me back."
The crowd cheered, as Sabine stepped down.
"Wow! What an amazing performance! Next up: Ezra Bridger!" The announcer said.
Sabine tried to talk to Ezra, but he went to the stage before she could.
"Erm...Hi. I'll be singing Attention, hope you enjoy."
Sabine didn't like where this was going. She knew the song and those lyrics.
Ezra began:
"Oh-oh, ooh
You've been runnin' round, runnin' round, runnin' round throwin' that dirt all on my name
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd call you up
You've been going round, going round, going round every party in L.A.
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd be at one, oh
I know that dress is karma, perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine, oh
And now I'm all up on ya, what you expect?
But you're not coming home with me tonight
You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you
you've been runnin' round, runnin' round, runnin' round throwing that dirt all on my name
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd call you up
Baby, now that we're, now that we're, now that we're right here standing face-to-face
You already know, already know, already know that you won, oh
I know that dress is karma (dress is karma), perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine (you got me thinking 'bout when you were mine)
And now I'm all up on ya (all up on ya), what you expect? (oh baby)
But you're not coming home with me tonight (oh no)
You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you, oh
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?
(What are you doin'?)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?
(What are you doin'?)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?
(What are you doin'?)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?
I know that dress is karma, perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine
And now I'm all up on ya, what you expect?
But you're not coming home with me tonight
You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you (over you)
What are you doin' to me? (hey) what are you doin', huh? (what are you doin', what?)
What are you doin', huh? (what are you doin' to me?)
(What are you doin', huh?) (yeah, you just want attention)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh? (I knew from the start)
(You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you) what are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?
Oh, oh."
The crowd cheered as Ezra stepped down.
Sabine was shocked.
Why would Ezra sing that?
She ran out, and Ketsu ran after her.
"Sabine! Wait!" Ketsu said.
(All of the above is before I fell asleep XD)
(I was SLEEEEEPYYY)
But Sabine kept running, until she was outside.
She stopped, and sat down in the grass.
Ketsu caught up, and sat next to her.
"Sabine, what's wrong?"
Sabine didn't answer.
"Sabine."
Sabine still didn't answer, she just looked down.
"What's wrong?"
"I want to go home," Sabine finally said.
"Alright, but you'll miss the rest of the show," Ketsu said.
"I don't care about the show anymore."
"Well, come on. I'll drive you."
Sabine and Ketsu got up and started walking to the car.
"Sabine! Wait!"
Sabine turned around to see Ezra standing behind her.
She turned her back again.
"Sabine?" Ezra tapped her shoulder.
She ignored him.
"Look, I didn't want to sing that song either. I hadn't even heard of it be until Zeb told me. But it was the only song I could find. And it works, well, because I didn't mean the lyrics."
"You didn't?" Sabine asked, turning to face him.
"Of course I didn't. In fact, I meant the opposite of those lyrics."
"Then why would you sing that?"
"Because, as I said, it was the only song it could find."
"Same here, but mine seemed better then yours."
"How so?"
Sabine smiled. "By, like, everything."
Ezra smiled too.
Suddenly Sabine hugged him.
Ezra hugged back.
"I love you, Ezra."
"I love you, too, Sabine."
