Light's
Ezra P.O.V
It was coming up to Christmas time, and everyone was exsited.
Everyone wanted to do their own things for the day. For me however, I wanted to see the light's on Lothal.
There's this tradition on Lothal that on the first of December, at exsactly 12 at night, they turn on all the Christmas lights all at once, lighting the city.
I remembered when I was on the street's, even tho it was frezzing at night, I would always go see it. It always made me happy.
I walked down the hallways of the Ghost to the cockpit to ask Hera if I could take the phantom to go to Lothal.
The doors opened and I seen Hera, Kanan and Sabine inside talking to one another.
"Hey Hera, can I go out for a while?" I asked her. She looked up at me. "Where to?" Hera asked me. "To Lothal. I want to see the light's being turned on in the city" I explained to her. She thought about it, and finally nodded.
"Thanks Hera" I exclaimed as I walked out of the cockpit. When I was about to enter the phantom, I felt someone tap my shoulder. I spun around to see Sabine, holding a orange and blue scarf, and a orange beaney (you know, the hat things).
"If your going to Lothal at this time of the year, you'll need these" Sabine told me as she handed them to me. I took them and thanked her. I then noticed that Sabine was also wearing a beaney and scarf.
"And don't think your going alone. I'm coming to" Sabine told me befor I could ask her anything.
I nodded and we both walked into the phantom and made are way to Lothal.
After what felt like forever, we finaly landded on Lothal, after finding somewhere to land that is, for all the hangers were full.
We got out and as soon as we did, we were hit with cold air.
"Wow it's frezzing"Sabine said, hugging herself. "Yeah, good think you thought of the scarfs and beanies" I replied as we started walking.
As soon as we got to the main street, it was packed.
"Wow, alot of people here, isn't there" Sabine told me. "Yeah, this is nearly double then last year" I explained to her. "What?! That must mean there was a lot last year" Sabine replied. "Yeah there was" I told her.
I looked to some of the signs that told the time, only to see it was 9, meaning we have only 3 hour's till the lights turn on.
"Do you want to grab something to eat?" I asked her. "Yeah, that'd be cool" she replied.
We walked through the crowded streets, and occasional talking the alleyways cause there were less people.
As we walked down the allyways, we seen a small sign saying 'Little Lothcat cafe'.
"Want to go eat in there?" I asked Sabine. "Yeah, and we'll be out of the cold" she replied as we walked in.
As soon as we did, the place was fooled with people. I started to think there would be no seats for us, so we started making are way to the door.
"Hello there. Are you two looking for a seat?" We herd someone ask. We turned around, only to see a woman, probably a waitresses. "Oh yeah, but it looks full and I don't think we'll get a seat" I explained.
"Oh no don't worry, there are a few seats still available here. Would you two like a table?" She asked us. "Yes please" Sabine replied.
"Alright, right this way" the woman told us as she lead us to a table.
We got a table and sat down and thanked her. She nodded and said she'll be around to us in a while when we are ready to order.
"This place is nice, isn't it" Sabine asked me as we looked around. "Yeah it is" I replied.
"So what will you be geting?" I asked her. She thought for a momont. "A hotchocolate and maybe a muffin. You?" She asked me. "Same, but instead of a muffin, I'll probably just get a sandwich" I replied.
For the next hour or two, me and Sabine talked and laughed about thing's and had are food.
It was fun hanging out with a friend.
I looked over at a clock. 11:00.
"Okay Sabine lets go, the lights are going to turn on in 1 hour and we don't want to be late" I told her. We thanked the staff and made are way to the main street. When we got there, it was full of people.
"We can see from the rooftops" I suggested as I pointed to the top of the building. "Yeah, let's go find the highest building and see the whole the city light up" Sabine told me.
I nodded and we ran to the back alley of the city.
"What's the tallest building in Lothal?" Sabine asked me. "That would have to be the imperial facility" I told her. "Then let's go there" Sabine told me. "How?" I asked her. "Just meet me at the market place" Sabine told me as she ran off.
After a few minutes, I waited by the market. It was quite empty for everyone was on the main street. After a few momonts, I herd Sabine call my name. I turn my head to see her holding my jetpack.
Already I felt sick. I have just started learning it and let's just say, it isn't fun when you slam into a wall every time you use it.
"What's the jetpack for?" I asked her, already having an idea what it was for.
"Well with these, we'll be able to get to the top of the conplex without being spotted" Sabine told me. I sighed. "Fine, let's get this over with" I told her as I took the jetpack and put it on.
We ran next to the facility and looked up. "Remeber, jump and just stay on coures. When we get to the top, pull up and the fule will turn off, got it" Sabine told me. I nodded. With that, she was made her way up the conplex.
Suprisling, I was able to get to the top without any problem. I landed next to Sabine and sat down. "You didn't hit a wall, good job" Sabine laughed at me.
"Whatever" I pouted.
"The lights should turn on in a few momonts" I told Sabine.
Then we herd everyone start counting down and we joined in.

And I'm a second, the city turn on and it was nearly blinding by how bright it was. We looked to see every street with bright lights and everyone cherring, music playing after.
"Wow, that was worth it" I herd Sabine telling me.
"Yeah. Imagine, I seen this every year, and haven't missed it once" I told her. "It must be the same if you seen this a lot" Sabine told me. "No, it's always amazing every time I see it. I remember the first time I seen the lights turn on" I told her.
"It was when I was around 5 I think. My parent's brought me outside and we stood at are house. I remembered I was tired cause it was super later. I asked why we were outside and they told me to see the lights. What I didn't notice were the lights that hung above the street. When they turned on, I remember how amazing it was. It may not have been as amazing as this, but to me, it was. Ever since, I would watch, even when my parent's were taken away, I still did it" I explained to her.
"Well...how about we do this every year?" Sabine asked me. I turned to her and smiled. "Yeah, it would be nice to celebrate with someone again" I replied as we just watched.
