Mehra Mansion

Arnav rushed inside the house followed by other officers.

"Who sees the body first"..arnav enquired while walking inside.

"It was seen by his wife sir. she comes here in the morning and found him dead." Inspector informed him.

Arnav enters the spot and found Karan Mehra's body was lying on a pool of blood. He inched closer and examined the body...he was stabbed by a knife and it is lying right beside him.

Inspector rushed to him. "Sir commissioner is here."

Arnav immediately turn back and salutes rhe commissioner.

Did you find any clue Mr. Raizada..this is a sensational case. Home minster called me in this morning to enquire about it. We need to find the culprit within 24 hrs. Commissioner said.

Arnav nodes his head I'm trying my best sir. they are searching for some clue. We got the finger prints of the culprit. Hopefully we will find the culprit soon. Before that I need to interrogate Mrs mehra.

He asked the inspector to bring Mrs. Mehra here.

A young lady enters the room with quivering steps. She has dark circles under her eyes and her hands were clasped together in nervousness. Tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.

Lady constable help her to sit on one chair. Arnav took a breath he knows that it is really hard for her but he needs to continue it.

Arnav sat opposite to her. I know that this is really hard for you madam but we have to do our duty. Where were you at the time of this murder.

She wipes her tears with a trembling hand. I was in my house. We both had a fight two days ago beca...because of his affair and I went to my house. Yesterday night he called me being drunk..he ...he apologised to me for everything and request me to come back....he promise to be faithful with me....when I come in the morning...he...she covered her face with hands and broke down.

Arnav sighed. He gestured the lady constable to take her back. 

Suddenly the inspector comes there. Sir I guess we find the culprit. There was an ID card of a lady which the Mr. Mehra hold tightly in his hand. Thankfully it's an adhaar card and we will be able to check the fingerprints. Arnav nodes his head and ask them to proceed.

He followed them and took the ID card...he felt the ground slipped beneath his feet. It's khushi's ID card.

Seeing Arnav's shocked expression commissioner took the card from him. He is also stunned to see khushi.
He put his hand on arnav's shoulder to support him and handed the card to inspector.

Do check the fingerprints right now. He ordered.

Inspector nodes his head and left with the card.

Arnav was still in trance thinking the worst. He is damn sure that some one is trying to frame his khushi but how could he save her. His mind is completely blank now.

Inspector comes with the reports stating that both the fingerprints are same sir.they matched perfectly with each other.

Arnav shakes his head as no. No this is not right. That bloody bastard is trying to frame my khushi. How will he kill mehra when she was with me the whole day..arnav yelled.

Commissioner tried to handle the situation. Evidences are against her Mr Raizada. Only we know her innocence. But the society and law doesn't. We have to arrest her otherwise the matter will slip out of our hands. Commissioner said.

Arnav closed his eyes in pain.

"Mr Raizada you have to do this". commissioner said

"But sir how c..can I" he said when his eyes turn moist.

"you have to Mr. Raizada or else I will ask DSP Mehra to arrest her. she had to be arrested".

"Nnoo.." Arnav shakes his head.".I will do it.." he said gulping his tears..

commissioner too felt pity for him seeing his state.

Arnav's Apartment

Khushi is trying to calm ashi. She was crying to see her father. After ashi's birth arnav comes to a video call during his lunch whenever he is away from his family.

But today it's evening and he didn't called since. That's why ashi is getting cranky. She can't stay away from her father.

"papa..".little Ashi whined in her mother's arms..

khushi rubbed her back and kissed her cheek."papa will come soon bacha.."

suddenly the door bell rang.

"see papa comes". she makes Ashi lay on the cradle and rushed to open the door.

"Arnavji...why didn't you pick up my call...Ashi was crying for you.".but she stopped seeing his serious expression.

"what happend Arnavji.." his sun glass covered his expressive eyes making her unable to read them.

But seeing his facial expression she is sure that he is trying hard to not to breakdown.

She cupped his cheek ignoring the officers behind him. "what happend arnavji..".

Arnav gulped the lump from his throat. "Mrs. Raizada you arrested for the murder of karan Mehra.".he said plainly.

khushi stumbled back and looked at him with painful eyes.."ww..what..I don't even know who is he. why would I kill him". she asked him.

Arnav fists his hands making his nails pierce on his skin. "we have the evidence. please corporate with us". he said with downcast eyes. he don't have the courage to look at her painful form.

khushi nodded her head. "Maya."..she called.

Maya comes there running.."yes madam.."

"please look after Ashi.." she said in a composed voice.

And walked towards Arnav.".let's go sir..."

Arnav felt like dying at the moment rather that to hurt khushi. But he had to do this. He needs to prove her innocence..if he doesn't obey the words the commissioner this case will handover to someone else...he can't allow that..what if they mistreat his wife. making his heart steel he led khushi to their jeep.
