The next day after that incident, Sidharth sat with his mother in a full happy mode. Sudha was curious to know the reason of his son's happiness. She took his breakfast and sat next to him.

He smiled widely looking at her and she placed the plate in front of him.

Maa.. Aap pucho jo puchna hei.. Nhi tho aapko chain nhi milegi.

Sidharth giggled saying this, gaining a pinch on his hand.

Ho kya raha hei aaj kal? Itna khush?? Aaur kal bhi tu yaha nhi dha, kaha gaya dha??

She laughed and asked.

Maa... Agar meim aapko ek secret bolunga, tho kya aap wo secret sambhal payegi??

She nodded excitedly.

Meina... Ek ladki ko propose karna chahta hu.

He said taking a bite of idly.

Even Sudha had an idea, but she acted innocent.

Tho ek kaam kar, next week yaha function hei, ussi din usse bhi bulale aur propose kar.

The idea of Sudha stuck his mind. It was an awesome one. She wanted the whole world to know that he was her's.

Both of them turned towards the door to see Shekhar standing there. Soon,  their smiles faded.

Areey! Meine disturb tho nhi kiya?

He asked acting polite.

Nhi nhi bhaisab, aisa kuch nhi hei.

Sudha smiled at him and invited him to have breakfast, but he denied.

Waise that girl would be lucky have our Sid, heina bhabhi?

Both the son and mother looked at each other and smiled proudly.

Agar tu chahta hei tho meim bhi ek idea de sakta hu.

He whispered leaning towards Sidharth. He was ready to take advice from anyone in this matter. He wanted to plan the best for his lady. Seeing the interest of Sidharth, Shekhar continued.

Agle hafte tak usse baat hi mat karna, completely avoid karr.. She won't be expecting this proposal then, and it will be the biggest surprise for her.

Sidharth thought for a while. It was right. After whatever happened yesterday, she knows that he is completely her man. So, she must be expecting a proposal, and if he avoids her, her expectations will be lowered. Thus he could give her the biggest surprise. It's a little bit filmy, but interesting.

Seeing the satisfaction in Sidharth's eyes, Shekhar smiled cunningly.

From that day, he decided to avoid Shehnaaz, moreover Shekhar offered his help for the preparations for the proposal. He himself advised Sidharth to decorate the backyard and get the best ring from the best jewellery shop.

Sidharth smiled shaking his head, thinking that how much Shehnaaz misunderstood Shekhar.

On the morning of the party day, he called Prayag and asked him to bring Shehnaaz also with him and lied that it was as per his mother's request. Before proposing her, he wanted to confess everything to Prayag. He was ready for that today.

He stood in the backyard, where the preparations were done and searched his pocket. He took out the beautiful diamond ring, he brought for her. Suddenly, he felt a push from aside, and the ring fell from his hand. He looked around, but he didn't see anyone. Instantly, he realized that he lost the ring and he sat on his knee and searched for it. He found it below the bench. He smiled and took it out standing on his knees. He kissed it closing his eyes and smiled widely

I love you baby..

He whispered.

He was shocked by hearing the sound of applause around him. He immediately opened his eyes only to find Nayan standing in front of him with an excited expression and others hooting for them. He was totally confused.

Shekhar ran towards them and held Sidharth's hand.

Yaar!! Pehle bata dete.. Abb kya dekh rahe ho pehnao...

Within no time Nayan pushed her finger forward into the ring and it was done. Sidharth wasn't getting anything around him. Before he could react, his ring was in Nayan's hand. His father came with a wide smile and hugged him.

I always wanted this beta... Thank you.

He patted on Sidharth's back. But, Sudha stood there confused. She always thought that it was Shehnaaz, and here something else happened. She forced a smile on her face and went towards them.

Shehnaaz got ready as Prayag informed her about the party. She was a little mood off, because Sidharth was avoiding her. She wanted to kick him and make him feel sorry for avoiding her, let anything be the reason.

As she wore her earrings, a message popped up on her phone. She sat on the bed and opened. She was shocked seeing the pictures in it.

Sidharth was on his knees, proposing Nayan. She couldn't believe it. She trusted him. He can never cheat on her. But, the picture?? She walked out immediately and called Prayag to reach the destination faster.

As they reached there, her eyes searched for Sidharth, but couldn't find. Only thing she noticed that, Nayan was standing with his family, like a family member. His father was hugging her and introducing her to everyone.

Sana, tu ne suna??? Sidharth proposed Nayan!!! I knew yaar!! He didn't even tell us man.

Tarun exclaimed standing near her. What else she wanted to hear? She needed to be strong now. Sudha and Kumar approached them soon. Sudha noticed the faded smile on Shehnaaz's face, but she was confused with whatever was happening around her.

Aap log kaise ho???

Kumar with a wide grin asked them.

Bahut ache..

Prayag replied.

Acha... Aap logonko tho Nayan ko already jaante honge naa... My future daughter in law.

Kumar laughed loudly with pride. He hugged Nayan and introduced to them.

Sidharth kaha hei?

Shehnaaz finally had the courage to ask.

Meine apne daaman ko kuch kaam keliye bhejaa hei..

Shekhar came there with a disgusting smirk on his face. Shehnaaz turned her face away from him.

For what she was waiting for?? What he will say to her?? Now, in front of the whole world he has proposed Nayan and what explanation she requires from him? Nothing!! She was nothing to him.

It was getting difficult for Shehnaaz to pass each minute over there. After sometime, she said some excuse and left for home. She was crying continually on the way back. She had given her everything to him. No... He had stolen it by giving false promises.  Her mother had advised her a lot, but she believed him over her mother too. It was paining like hell. She reached her street, but someone called her from behind.

She wasn't surprised, rather felt disgusted. Shekhar stood there with a smirk on his face.

I have warned you Shehnaaz... He will choose only the best. He just wanted your body. He used you and now he has thrown you out.

She was shocked by his words, but he again smirked.

Do you think I have no idea on what happened a week ago?? Poor girl!! You lost everything... He just used you. It happens... Rich boys just need shits like you, only for their pleasure.. When it comes to commitment, they choose the one who worth it.

Shehnaaz had no reply for it. Sidharth had made her a failure.

Don't waste your time here!! Go to your home. Your mother is waiting for you Sana...

He laughed loudly at the last sentence.
She stood there frowned for a second. No!!! It can't happen!!! Does she knows everything???

Shehnaaz ran towards her home, only to find Durga sitting on a chair with tears.

On sensing the presence of Shehnaaz, her voice raised.

You broke our trust Sana!! You broke everything! Meri parvarish meim kya kami rah gayi rabba... Kyu kiya tune aisa shehnaaz?? Bata kyu???

She moved towards Shehnaaz and shook her holding her shoulders.

Tears were rolling down from Shehnaaz's eyes. Durga pulled Shehnaaz's hand and kept it on her head.

Tujhe meri kasam. Tu aage usse nhi milega aur koi baat bhi nhi karega..
Wo tujhe kuch nhi maanti. Aage se tu uska naam tak nhi lenge apne muh se.

Shenaaz fell on the ground and broke down. Durga hugged her tightly and stroked her hair.

Kuch nhi beta.. Kuch nhi.. Tujhe ab ek change chahiye.. Aaj hi gaav keliye nikal jaa bachchi.. Meim bol dunga sabko, tu tension naa le.

Durga packed her every stuff. Shehnaaz sat there emotionless. She didn't wanted to see him again. He broke her heart into a millions of pieces. She should have understood his true colors earlier, but..

Sidharth held Sudha's hand and ran towards her room. He was back from office after 2 hours. Party was almost over.

Kya hua beta???

She tried to console the crying Sidharth.

Maa... Sab kuch galat hogaya..

Kya hua? Bata tho sahi..

He raised his head and spoke.

It's not Nayan maa... It's not her... Whatever happened was just a misunderstanding.. I don't even like her.

Kumar who stood at the doorway was shocked hearing it. Due to excitement, he too has committed a blunter by introducing Nayan to everyone. He immediately calmed himself down. He wanted to clear the mess created. Sidharth's happiness was everything for them. If he doesn't need this relationship, then he would never force him.

He moved towards them and rubbed Sidharth's back.

Sidharth felt happy hearing it from his father. He immediately hugged him.

He ran towards Nayan and explained her that it was just her misunderstanding. She smiled sadly and returned the ring. Then, he ran towards his friends.

Sidharth said to them that it was just a mere misunderstanding. But, he didn't said that he was planning to propose someone.

He asked after sometime sensing the absence of Shehnaaz.

Sidharth was shocked. What must be she thinking?? Doesn't she trust him anymore?? He was hell worried. He moved from there and called her number, but it was switched off. He had no ways to contact her? He needed to wait till she returns. She must trust him. And he decided that.

As the college opened again, Sidharth waited outside college. He had taken admission for MBA. His gaze was fixed at the gate.

He saw her, after a long time. But, she was a little different. More serious. She was accompanied by a new girl. And not much to his surprise, she avoided him. He walked behind her. She could sense that. Anger was rising inside her. Every moments in the waterfall, in the party, her mother's outburst, Shekhar.. everything was coming back into her mind.

The last two months, she rewound those scenes numerous times. Hence, she had only hatred for him now. She never wanted to see him again. Her mother was right. He just used her. Now, what he want?? She can't fall for this trap again!

Shehnaaz waited outside the washroom for Paayal. Soon, Sidharth held her hand and dragged her to a corner. She tried her maximum to get out of his grip, but went failed.

Sidharth cupped her face.

His each touch felt like piecing needles into her body.

She shouted in anger. Her eyes were red. He was shocked by seeing her this side. He stood there rooted. He never imagined that it would go to this extent. It was just a mere misunderstanding. But, in her eyes he could only see hatred for him. She left from there without looking back.

After a minute he ran behind her, but she got inside her class. He messaged her and tried to call. But, his number was blocked. He stood in front of her class, yet she didn't looked at him.

Sidharth had no clue what was happening. He thought that she would be mad at him, but it was much more than that.

Sidharth, tu yaha kya kar raha hei??

Prayag asked coming near to him and checked for Shehnaaz. Sidharth could sense worry in Prayag's eyes.

Sidharth stood there, observing the strange behavior of Shehnaaz, even for Prayag. She wasn't same with him too.

Prayag saw Sidharth looking at them.

Pata nhi yaar, jab se gaav se wapas aayi hei, wo ek dam change hogayi. Mujhse teek se baat bhi nhi karti. Ladkiyam badi hoke aise banjaate hei kya??

Pata nhi..

Sidharth replied.

Jab meim usse poocha tho mamma ne mujhe hi daat liya.. Pata nhi kya khaarish dhi!

They walked back towards their class.

In the following months, Sidharth tried a lot to talk to her, but each time she hurt him so badly with her words. She was that hurt due to him. She didn't wanted to remember those days. She felt disgusted. And the biggest reason, Nayan! She was always around him. She didn't wanted to invest more in this. She believed what the whole college believed, Sidharth and Nayan are together.

On his last attempt, on the third floor of library, she said that she would commit suicide if he ever came behind her. Did she hated him to no end???

He failed to prove his love. He lost all his hope. The remaining days were really sad. She was avoiding him. He too tried for that. But, at the end both of them were hurt. Both of them were sad. Both of them were dying to get back those beautiful days......
