it was sooooooooo hot out today

I went to this friends graduation party and I got to play hide and go seek with his six year old sister for 3 hours straight. I won btw

I helped her catch some of frogs (and then we obviously let them go) and we also dug up some bugs from the ground and I helped her learn them by the names and fun facts about them.

I am so happy I was obssesed with insects a couple of years ago cause it helped me impress a first grader and made me look cool 😂

my mom was /kinda/ mad because I was wearing a dress and heels while I was elbow deep in the ground picking up insects BUT I SOMEHOW MANAGED NOT TO GET MY DRESS DIRTY SO YAY

somehow, digging up bugs and catching frogs with a 6 year old is the most fun I've had in like two months 😂

and you know that one cool aunt that's all fashionable and who's all "mean" but at the same time she's you're favorite? yea, I don't have one of those since all of my relatives are on a different continent BUT the dude I went to the party for has one and I was her favorite there. we bonded over the fact that she's a lawyer and I'm a debater who's considering going down that career path.

we just talked about books we read, shared tea, and even tried to prank some of the people who were there by switching up their foods when they weren't looking.

so yea that was today.
