10 - FINALLY

Going through the motions of Banner's return the human form was certainly interesting as he watched the footage of him crashing down to Sakaar. It was heartbreaking for Aurora to watch and she could practically feel his pain as the footage played. Thor still had yet to explain where they were, but that seemed to be cut short by an announcement that began to play loud enough to rattle Aurora's ears.

"Sakaar, hear ye," it was the Grandmaster's voice, somehow magnified across the city, "Attention please, I have some bad news. My beloved exalted champion has turned up missing. Take to the streets, celebrate my champion."

"Who's that?" Banner asked as they looked out the window to see a hologram of sorts of the Grandmaster being projected.

"He tried to buy me," Aurora muttered, remembering how Valkyrie had protected her from being sold into the contest of champions. It was the little things, she supposed. Aurora stupidly found herself missing Brunnhilde more than she would like to admit, but she had made her choice and Brunnhilde had made hers. Besides, it wasn't like they knew each other well enough to even try to care about each other. Aurora needed to stop playing around with human emotions before someone got hurt.

"He kind of runs the place," Thor explained, "You actually lived at his house for a while."

"I did?"

Thor nodded, "Yeah. Quite a lot's happened. You and I had a fight recently."

Banner looked confused at this as he asked, "Did I win?"

"No, I won. Easily."

"Liar," Aurora teased from behind him, but Thor just turned around and narrowed his eyes at her, motioning for her to be quiet. The woman giggled slightly at this.

"Doesn't sound right," Banner muttered.

Aurora laughed, "Because it's not. You destroyed him."

"Shut up, Aurora," the God spat, but it was clear there was no malice behind it. She had a feeling it was hard for the God to be malicious if he even tried. Besides, he liked Aurora too much. "It's true, I won."

The Grandmaster's message continued, "It seems that the criminally seductive Lord of Thunder and the glowing lady have stolen him away --"

"Glowing lady?" Aurora repeated with a scoff, "I'm a goddess."

"I'm a God of lightening," Thor corrected to himself. "I hate this man. We need to move."

Aurora bit her lip, observing their surroundings outside the ship, "Where is there to go? We're only safe once we're off this planet and I wouldn't even know how to start. We don't even have a working ship."

Banner looked around at their surroundings, clutching the blanket that clothed him, "Oh no. This is bad. This is really, really bad. Thor, I think I'm freaking out."

Thor seemed to panic at this, running back over to Banner and rushing out, "No, no, no. Put these on, don't freak out. You're okay."

"May I?" Aurora asked gently, reaching out her hand and motioning to Banner's hand that was clutching his chest. The man nodded and held out his hand, which she grabbed and squeezed. Sakaar had drained her powers a little bit, as had powering the ship for that short amount of time, but she had enough to channel some feelings of calm and lightness into Banner to keep him from freaking out. Something about her told her that freaking out would mean another visit from the Hulk and that wasn't something they needed right now. After a moment, she asked, "How's that?"

Banner nodded, grabbing the clothes from Thor, saying, "Better. What was that? How can you do that? Who are you?"

"Just Aurora," she mused with a smile as she turned to let Banner get dressed. She herself could probably use a change of clothes since she was still in the clothing she had landed on this blasted planet in. However, that was fairly low on her list of priorities. Besides, she likely wouldn't be in her human form much longer.

"Are these Tony's clothes?" Banner asked, looking at the items of clothing in his hands. "I don't wanna wear Tony's clothes. Is he here?"

"Come on," Thor brushed him off, "No, he's not here. But listen, just stay calm, okay? The sun's going down, the sun's getting really low. The sun's going down."

"He should stay fairly calm for now," Aurora explained, "I don't know how long it'll last, but hopefully long enough to get us out of this ship and onto the streets."

Banner went to get dressed, leaving just Thor and Aurora to themselves in the main part of the ship. "I worry about him."

"I know you do," the woman nodded, blonde hair tumbling into her face which she casually brushed out of the way. It was a bit annoying, not one of her favorite things about being human.

"Here, let me," Thor offered as he walked behind Aurora and pulled her hair back. She could feel him twisting the long locks into a braid before ripping off part of his already torn cape and tying it up. She laughed joyfully as her fingers trailed over the knotted hair. "Better?"

"Better," she confirmed with a smile. She didn't know much about human emotions, but she thought she loved Thor. He was her first friend ever and he continued to be a friend to her no matter what and loyalty was certainly something she valued and thrived off of.

A moment later, Banner emerged wearing pants that were a little too short, a shirt that was a little too tight, and a loose blazer on top of it. "Okay, okay, let's go. Your hair looks nice, Aurora."

"Aw, thanks," she smiled as they left through the gaping hole in the ship that Hulk had left. She watched as Thor kept a tight grip on Bruce, probably to keep control of him as they began to navigate the crowded streets of Sakaar.

Once they were out, Thor found a place to sit before pulling Banner and Aurora down to regroup. Aurora wondered why until she noticed Bruce putting his head in his hands, clearly overwhelmed at the number of people and noise. Reaching out gently, she placed a hand on his shoulder, but in her weakened state, she couldn't do much.

"The sun's going down. The sun's getting really low," Thor muttered and Aurora began to wonder what relevance it had to Banner as it didn't seem to be doing much. Still, it was clear that it came from a place of care within Thor.

"Oh, shoot," Bruce groaned, keeping his head in his hands, "Would you stop saying that?"

" I just need you to stay calm," the God reiterated.

"Calm?" Banner exclaimed, "I'm on an alien planet! I'm sitting next to a freaky, glowy lady with magical powers, no offense, Aurora--"

"None taken," she shrugged.

Thor sighed, trying to keep Banner relaxed, "It's just a planet. You've been on a planet before."

"Yeah. One!"

"Now you've been on two, that's a good thing! It's a new experience!"

Bruce sighed, running a hand over his head as he said, "My neurons, they're firing faster than my brain can handle the new information. The whole thing is totally different this time. In the past, it always felt like Hulk and I each had a hand on the wheel. But this time, it's like he had the keys to the car and I was locked in the trunk. Aurora, can you do the weird calming thing again?"

The woman nodded, "Trying my best here."

"Well, you're back now and that's all that matters," Thor comforted.

"No, it's not what matters!" the man exclaimed, sounding frustrated, "What I'm trying to tell you is that if I turn into the Hulk again... Banner may never come back. And we're stranded on a planet that is designed to stress me out."

"We're not stranded --"

"We're a little stranded," Aurora whispered, but Thor glared at her behind Bruce's head. She shrugged, "It's true!"

"I can hear you guys!" he shouted. With a rush, Aurora did her best to push some calm into him and the anger began to settle in his voice a little bit.

"I'm gonna figure out a way to get us home," the God reassured.

"Thank you."

"Not your home, though, my home. Asgard. Then we'll go to your home."

"What?"

"Thor--" Aurora seethed, "Maybe we can drop him off first."

Thor shook his head, "My people are in grave danger. We have to fight this really powerful being who also happens to be my sister."

Bruce sighed at this, saying, "Okay, that is so wrong on so many levels. I don't wanna fight your sister! That's a family issue."

Aurora knew they weren't going anywhere with this and she felt stressed knowing they were running out of time. Asgard was in danger and that was why Aurora was even human in the first place and the longer they were here on this dreadful planet, the less power she would have to help fight off Hela. She needed something, anything to help her regain her power because it was running low and it was running low fast.

Thor denied this, saying, "No, she's an evil being."

"I don't care what she is. I'm not fighting any more beings, I'm sick of it."

"Then you can wait in the ship while we fight her, we just need to fight her," Aurora interrupted, getting frustrated with this conversation but she was doing her best to not show it.

"What? Why don't you wanna fight?"

Bruce sighed, "I just told you. If I turn into the Hulk again, I am never going to come back from it. And you don't care."

"No, no, I'm putting together the team. The Hulk is the fire."

"Wait, you're just using me to get to the Hulk. It's gross. Aurora can you believe this?"

"No, I think this whole conversation is ridiculous," the woman shook her head and Thor scoffed.

"You're supposed to be on my side!" he exclaimed, but she just shrugged.

Bruce sighed, looking away from Thor as he said, "You don't even care about me. You're not my friend."

"No, I don't even like the Hulk!" Thor tried to win over Bruce, but Aurora had a feeling it wasn't going to work. "He's all like "smash, smash, smash!" I prefer you. But if I'm being honest, when it comes to fighting evil beings... he is very powerful and useful."

Aurora groaned, letting her head bang against the metal wall behind them, "This is going nowhere."

"Yeah, Banner's powerful and useful, too," the man reasoned.

Thor scrunched up his face, asking, "Is he though?"

"How many PhDs does Hulk have? Zero. How many PhDs does Banner have? Seven."

The God sighed, caving in and saying, "Fine, you don't have to fight anyone. But we're in danger here, so we have to move."

As they stood up, Aurora sighed, exclaiming, "Finally! I'm literally immortal and that took years off of my life. You two are utterly ridiculous. Just ridiculous."
