Chapter 23: A Forestry Stroll.
"Which one was your favorite?" Beaming excitedly, Feige picked up his plate and saw his head turn to her.
"The first out of the three. I enjoyed the alien's monstrous and brutal combat. The way it devoured everyone and complained when it couldn't eat when it wanted to, was amusing," He answered. The brunette could tell he enjoyed the movie experience and the food, not a single crumb was left when he was done.
"Me too! I love that thing, it's hilarious.~ E- Especially its comebacks and how it'd argue with its human host.~" A fit of giggles escaped, they almost made her stumble back so she had to keep a tight grip on his and her plate.
"I don't know about you-- but I enjoyed the one with the villains the most.~" Morgana strode over to the two and handed the brunette her plate, which she carefully took. "Especially the one with dyed pigtails," It was contagious to hear her laugh, so Feige joined in and nodded in agreement.
"Some other time-- we will watch the third one. Preferably at the house, I made you," Gruumm groaned when he stood up, which Feige saw and backed up to give him some room.
"Y- Yeah," Her face brightened red at the thought of being alone at her new home with him and having another movie night. The family-sized bags of chips and soda she requested from the guard robot before it was basically murdered, made her ponder the possible events that might occur. "A- Anyway... Um, Grimly-- I- I mean... Gruumm?" She didn't dare look up at him because it was obvious to anyone that, what was about to be asked, made her nervous. The subtle turn of his legs told her that he looked at her and awkwardly shifted her feet. "I wonder... What you'd look like... In a Vampire outfit. Y- You're tall, and built, a vampire lord's outfit would look pretty sick on you," As fast as her feet could move, she turned around, and hid the shy smile that crept on her face.
"Vampire... Lord?" Completely confused he was, she missed his famous head tilt since her back was to him and didn't get to see him step around to lean over her shoulder.
Unbeknownst to her, he saw her beet-red face and smile, but the second she saw him in her peripherals she jumped back with a cute whimper of surprise. "U- Uh, look it up? You made me wear this. I- It's only fair, right?" Quickly she sped out of the room and down the hall, waiting to hear his response wasn't exactly desired when her rapidly beating heart kept betraying her. Why does a skeletal alien lord have to be so hot?! Why did I say that?! I need help... The plates she carried tempted her so much, that she wanted to faceplant into them and hide like a ninja in the shadows and by some miracle not be noticed.
As she made her way back to the kitchen area, outfits flooded her mind and dressed Gruumm in dark vampire attire. Ones that fit both of his forms, the imagery nearly made her nose bleed if she didn't shake her head to get rid of the thoughts. Come on! Stop it, brain! He's an alien, he's not going to understand weird human culture and their strange fantasies. Deep breaths, in and out, she turned into the Kitchen and put the plates in the sink.
"It took me no time at all... I looked it up as you suggested. Vampires drink blood?" Gruumm's voice made her jolt, whip around, and almost slip on the metal floor if he hadn't caught her with one arm.
"I told you-- d- don't do that!" Fuming now, she could still feel the heat on her face, nonetheless, she was about to get up until the position she was in was finally noticed and froze. Why is he not letting go?! I feel like he's dipping me! Her eyes lit up with astonishment from the way he caught her and stared at her intently. Indeed, she was being dipped, ironically one of her hands was held in his other one when he had let go of his staff.
"Hahahaha!~ Cute," Her weight was nothing to his arm, Feige watched and felt herself being sat up straight and let go of.
"H- How is me nearly falling to my doom and possibly seeing m- my grave on the floor-- cute?" Huffing, her fingers tugged to straighten out her short dress and awkwardly turned to face him.
"Because... Your face is red," Amused would be the understatement of the day. It was easy to notice the faint pulses in his rubies when he said that and she couldn't help but avert her gaze.
"P- Probably because it's too hot in here?" Her feet began to back away as he stepped closer and felt her body stiffen up from their sudden closeness. On either side of her head, she noticed his hands against the wall behind her, for his head leaned closer to hers and kept her from escaping. "W- What are you doing?" As awkward as it was, her face never cooled down so she did everything she could to look away and not stare at his pretty red rubies.
He didn't say anything, all he did was stare at her and on occasion tilt his head. Oh no-- I hope he didn't hear my thoughts when I was walking down the hall! Past his forearm she stared at the Kitchen appliances, trying to not give him a free pass to her rampant mind. The pounding in her chest, the nervousness from their closeness, and the heat on her face, only worsened when he inched closer to her ear to speak.
"I will look into them. The attire.~" Husky and deep, he spoke, to which Feige gulped.
No! Not again! It became too much for her to handle. It was all too overwhelming and her body was repeating the same symptoms as before when Grimly flirted with her in his drunk state. Out she went, black clouded her vision and her consciousness faded.
~~~~
Gruumm stared at her, with his hands still against the wall; he stepped back to put his hand to his skeletal features. From his forehead to his chin, his palm rubbed, and out came a flustered groan he didn't realize he held. "Again?" Stepping closer, crouching to her side, both elbows lazily rested over his knees and was examining her form. "Why does she do that? I was trying to read her mind. So... She thinks I'm hot? Strange," An amused chuckle fell from his skeletal mouth as he poked at her shoulder.
She was halfway lying on her stomach and when he flipped her onto her back, his hands scooped her up. "My body temperature is naturally warmer than a human's. It's why I prefer it cold on my ship. But... I know. I know, it's not my body heat she's reacting to.~" Chuckling low to himself he carried her out of the Kitchen.
He paid Morgana a swift glance to see her confused stare, as he continued through the hall and hummed. "Why is she unconscious?" Curious, she was and strode alongside him.
He didn't answer her. He was too much in thought to so much as speak. A few nights ago when he carried her to his room, he told Morgana to not say a word, especially after suggesting the idea of having an Empress. Only now, he began to fancy the idea just a little bit and shook his head. Over and over, he thought about past comments from Feige, Morgana, and Broodwing.
They all kept saying he liked her, save for Feige when she made a statement about him not being her boyfriend. All due to his protectiveness over her outfit and not wanting others to see her in it. Now, he doesn't care if they do. Cause he could simply make whoever looks at her funny go blind or torture them until they avoid her altogether.
She cares... She cares. She cares about me even though I'm evil? Despite everything that I do or have done? The more he repeated their previous argument in his head, the funnier he felt and the more clingy he wanted to be.
He ignored the overgrown child who followed and strode into his Private Chambers, thankful that the doors hissed shut before she could accompany him. Into a far corner somewhere, he placed her down and walked over to sit in his large seat. He kept thinking about what she said, lifted his hand, and examined himself.
Several cuts, burns, and bruises could be seen on his fingers. He could still feel the stinging sensation from his fight today and added to the pain he felt even now, from the fight with Astsuon. That was until a familiar raspy voice invaded his mind.
Have you learned of their reasons... As to why-- they defend their planet with such tenacity? Omni questioned with anger and demanded an answer.
"I do not know... Why they fight to defend such a worthless planet. Or their inevitable fate, but the fact remains, that they do!" He explained as he moved his hands about, and saw it too late when crimson energy befell him. Pain riddled his body when he felt himself lift an inch from his seat, followed by a cry of agony.
Then why have you not done as you've been told?! I ordered you to bring forth warriors from another dimension and here you are! You DARE defy me?! Doubt or question my power?! Rage filled its voice.
"I do not question your supremacy, or that we will be victorious!" Groaning in pain, he felt the thing's power release him and relief from its hold. Panting heavily, all over his body he ached, his head dangled, and slowly his attention moved to Feige's form. "Preparations are in place. We are ready... To leave. We have undertaken a plan that will ensure us the conquest of Earth!" Grumbling at the end, he gave the brunette another glance and hoped his outburst didn't stir her. Surprisingly, it did.
She was sitting up now, staring at him with eyes as sharp as daggers. "Omni?" Anger was visible in her violets, he could see her small fists clenched at the thought.
"You saw? I had hoped... You wouldn't," Leaning over, he began to rub his head and gave an extensive groan throughout the room. He knew he couldn't answer her straight, because of the entity down his neck, he'd be tortured if it heard him talk about the thing in front of her.
He almost didn't hear her shoes pat across the floor, they were quiet, but flinched when he felt her tiny hands carefully cup his cheekbones to make him look at her. Determined eyes bore into his confused and tired rubies, he didn't bother to sit up straighter so he was more at her level. "What are you doing?" He nearly lost his breath when he felt her forehead against his and closed her eyes.
"Shush... I'm putting up a mental barrier. That way... We can talk freely. That thing won't be able to penetrate it. It couldn't when it tried to talk to me after I told it to go away, it was very mad. So-- go ahead. Tell me," Whispers, comforting, the gentleness of her almost put him into a daze if he hadn't snapped himself out of it.
"O- Omni. It continues to threaten me. You saw the electricity, yes?" He didn't have to look at her face to know she confirmed, the nod against his forehead was a good enough answer and so he continued. "It does that... When it's tired of my delays. Look into my memories, see for yourself what it does to me in here," He was about to recall the painful experiences from the past until her voice made him stop and look at her now-open eyes.
"I don't have to know. All I need to know is that it hurts you and has taken everything from you. Plus some, if you count those other innocent lives. So, please... Just for a minute-- listen. Listen to the quiet. The peace," Her whispers were much softer at the end of her sentence, and watched her eyes close to keep her focus on the mental barrier.
He did as she suggested. However, it wasn't just the quietness, and the feeling of only himself in his mind that brought him a sense of peace. It was her. Her gentle touch, her presence alone sent him into a calm daze that he fully welcomed. It was foreign to him but he was enjoying it regardless.
It felt so alien to not have some sort of connection to Omni, because every day from when he wakes to when he sleeps, he feels that thing's presence in his head like a lingering ghost and to have it be cut off for even a moment... It was pure bliss. He knew the ship was already on its way through a wormhole, but he hardly cared right now.
Sure, her mind was connected to his and felt her presence inside but it was nothing compared to Omni. Her connection soothed him, whereas the entity's made him fear-struck and uneasy. For the longest time, he stared at her closed eyes, and then to her lips that tempted him each time he looked.
He remembered that night when he grazed her lips with his skeletal mouth and made her stir and before that, when he felt them with his fingers; the soft humming, caressing his skull until he fell asleep. He decided to give into his temptation and turn his head slightly, so he could move. Again, he grazed her lips and almost made a full-on kiss if she hadn't gasped.
A few steps back, she let go of him and he watched her astonished eyes meet his dazed rubies. "W- Why were you... Were you trying to..." He could tell she was dumbfounded by his antics, so he stood up and groaned.
"For once... I will admit. It was nice to feel pure silence," Though he admitted to enjoying the quiet and the comfort, he didn't want to admit that he quite literally tried to kiss her. With a shake of his head, he walked out of his Private Chambers and continuously hit his skull to snap himself out of it.
~~~~
The next few hours came around, and after a nap was impossible, Feige hardly slept in her cot so she decided to make her way to the Monitoring Room and hope something amusing was happening.
What was that about? Was he trying to... Nah! He doesn't seem the type. But then again... Her thoughts trailed for a moment when she recalled his skeletal mouth nearly opening to kiss her and it made her go into a daze. Her fingers gently touched her lips at the moment from earlier. It made her feel all fuzzy inside, her face burned bright so she tried to cool herself off, with her cold hands on her cheeks.
She kept recalling how many times he was dangerously close to her face. She should've gotten a hint from several hours ago with him in the Kitchen, but it just didn't register. Does he... L- Like me? Or... Or is it just confusion? Is he okay? Mumbling to herself, the moment her feet entered the room, she saw a child on the floor drawing and Gruumm pacing.
"Earth 2004. We defeat her now, and then when we return to the future there will be no resistance to our conquest! If there is anyone left at all, ahahaha.~" Feige could tell by his short laughter that the idea thrilled him to bits. "Show me what you've drawn, Mora," Leaning slightly, his hand gestured for her to do as he demanded and peeked at her sketchbook.
"Just-- this.~" The child lifted her book and out came a creature that caught Feige by surprise.
An alien, clad in red and black with silver tendrils on its head, spoke. "At your service, master.~" Its arms lowered when it greeted and waited for an order.
"Excellent," Pleased, he was, right now there wasn't an ounce of anger in him due to earlier when he was soothed by Feige's presence. Of course, all Feige saw was him staring at the creature and going off into his own little world, even if it was for a short bit.
"Yeah, yeah... I'm going to go play now," Annoyance from the little girl could be heard as the brunette watched her try to stand and stopped when the Emperor's voice halted her.
"No! I want you to draw more monsters, Mora! More! Make sure this time... We prevail," Nodding to himself, he shifted his weight until his rubies met violets across the room and in the doorway. "F- Feige, w- what brings you here?" She saw it, his voice cracked and a nervous movement from the otherwise stoic, bony beast, made her cheeks burn when she recalled what he did.
"I tried to take a nap... But I couldn't sleep. C- Can you... T- Take me back to my new house, please?" Her gaze averted to the floor to avoid his adorable head-tilt and didn't pay any attention to the random alien that came out of the sketchbook. "A- And-- where's Morgana?" Still, she didn't look up, but the sound of the kid's voice caught her attention.
"I'm right here! But you can call me Mora, now.~ Do you want to draw with me once I'm done making monsters? I could make you a scary spider for a pet!" Her smile was full of childish delight despite the morbid life she was living and watched her pat to a space next to her.
"W- What? I... I have so many questions now," Completely dumbfounded she was. The moment she was about to ask some of them, Gruumm's voice overran her when she saw him take a few steps closer.
"I will answer a few! We are not in our timeline right now. You cannot go to Earth until we return to our time. M- Morgana earned her keep so I gave her childish form back... Originally, she was just a little worm but I gave her that appearance in exchange for her services," With a finger pointing to the girl's sketchbook, he didn't move his gaze from Feige's the whole time.
Suspicion clouded her eyes at the last bit, a sharp glare was sent to the Emperor, to which he noticed and awkwardly looked around. "I'm afraid to ask... What you meant by that. Are you u- using her to... Make not just monsters, but money?" Dangerously she bore her eyes into his and watched him freeze upon her words. To her, it looked like she was spot on, but in reality, he just froze because of the cool idea she gave him.
"No... I like the idea though. Drawing money, giving me more than I need to restock my Arsenal! An excellent idea!" Strangely cheery, she watched his fist clench and nod his head at the thought.
"Hahaha! I- In that case-- why not have her draw clothes, food, a Troobian house, or... a f- friggin planet with civilization?~" This time Feige fell into a fit of giggles, the mention of it all sounded crazy and impossible for such a small sketchbook.
"Interesting... With such a small sketchbook, I could do so much more than draw monsters for my benefit. Very well... Mora!" To the side, he called to the girl and astonished Feige so much that it stopped her laughter. "Draw me... A Vampire Lord's outfit. Two of them," His curiosity was piqued, which she noticed, and stared at him speechlessly.
"I don't even know what they look like. How could I draw something that I've never seen?" The look on Mora's face was priceless, knitted brows and confusion over the Emperor's well-being made her lean away from him.
"U- Uh... H- Here!" Feige had to quickly run to the girl, place her hands on her head, and close her eyes. Images of various Vampiric outfits were sent into Mora's mind the moment she began to ponder the ones that would best suit him. "T- Those," When she let go, she watched the child grin, nod, and get to work. She had to hurry and show her the images, lest any delays or refusal would result in yelling from the Emperor and she didn't want that.
Minutes passed, more monsters were made and Feige carried two interesting outfits that were a lot heavier than she thought they would be. One outfit consisted of large and heavy, black leather shoulder pads that had a long black and red split cloak attached underneath. Its pitch-black sleeves, leather armored wrist bands, gloves, and pants were hard to hold onto. Especially the heavy armored, dark metal boots that she had to lift with her power. It had a very high collar that reached past where his face would be and opened in the front, however, the entirety of the outfit was hard to discern considering how dark it was on the ship.
The second outfit was hidden beneath the one that had armor attached and almost stumbled when a beam of light brought someone from Earth to stand right next to her. "W- Woaah!" Tumbling off to the side, she would've fallen if one of Gruumm's arms hadn't caught her in time. The loud clunk from the armored metal boots resonated when she lost focus on her power and let go of them. "T- Thanks," The subtle nod of his head was enough to know that he answered, so she stepped back a bit to shyly look at the stranger he brought.
Clad in black armor, cybernetic he looked, with four blue narrowed eyes on his helmet and a unique gothic design. "So-- you are the one they call Zeltrax," With his hands on his hips and interest in his rubies, Feige knew he was just as curious about the guy as she was.
"You know my name... And now you will know my wrath!" As soon as Zeltrax was about to use his power, indigo lightning shot from Gruumm's hand and a chuckle could be heard.
"G- Gruumm! What do you think you're doing?!" Her hands were too full of his new clothes to stop him but she managed to get an answer, his aggressive attitude only spiked her anger that much more.
"I am putting him in his place!" He began, and glanced at her, before bringing his attention back to the cyborg. "I have a proposition for you. You and your troops will help me strike down the Power Rangers or I will--" Even though he was going to threaten him with vaporization, a huge tug on his arm by Feige's power knocked his indigo electricity away and made him stagger a second. "Feige-- that was not necessary!" Furious now he whipped his head toward her and had his words get caught in his throat at the sight.
A dangerous, threatening glare and a harsh glow of her eyes made him go quiet. "Stop!" Everyone's heads looked to Zeltrax, however, not once did the anger in the brunette subside.
"No need to go on..." He began, slowly stood up, and ignored the woman who just saved his robotic neck. "Eliminating the Power Rangers-- will be my pleasure!" The tightening of his fist made the leather on his gloves stretch, for his body shook with rage that seemed very similar to Gruumm's that day when he hardly slept.
"Excellent! My warriors will help you!" If the brunette knew him by now, the sound of his voice was that of delight because of its higher pitch.
"Can I use o- one of your warriors for a minute? These are r- really heavy," Awkwardly, to the side, Feige asked and peeked around Gruumm to one of the three. The weight of the clothes and armor began to pull on her arms and wear down her strength, they became heavier by the minute.
"No! I will have one of my Crybots carry them to my room. I have many other robots to send to Earth in the process... Feige, stay here," From behind him a small Crybot sphere was tossed and ten of the robots appeared all around them. "One of you-- take my attire to my room," The brunette watched his finger point to the doorway.
No hesitance, it was relieving to feel her arms again after holding them for so long. When she gave them to it and saw it run out of the room, a pout on her lips proved her rebelliousness of having to stay there. "Can I at least... H- Have some fresh air? I- I just want to take a walk is all," To feel some new air in her lungs and to get away from the cold ship for a while was too nice to pass up, but the silence she received from him made her uneasy.
"We won't be here forever. How long do you plan to walk?" There it was, protectiveness caused him to let out an irritable groan and place his hands on his hips.
"Just until you're done," Shyly, she looked down at her feet and fiddled with the hem of her transparent, lacy sleeves. The shoes she had on were the same as before when she wore her bejeweled pants and netted shirt.
"Fine. I will have one of my Blue-heads accompany you then. I'll observe the battle from here, since I know you will be mad at me," There was almost a hint of amusement in his tone, but the faint pulse in his rubies told her he was flustered at the thought of how much she cared.
"Y- Yeah... Don't overdo it," As awkward as it was, she headed out the doorway and didn't notice the curious stare from Zeltrax when his head followed her trail.
~~~~
Inside a room with many chemistry tubes and tables, stood a monstrosity who watched a screen. A Predatory gaze observed a battle he'd never seen before, robots attacked Rangers not of their planet or world and saw Zeltrax fight along their side. Hardly any care for the cyborg showed on his face, but when the SPD Rangers helped fight him off, the screen switched to another area and observed.
"My Lord, this might not be our fight. From what I can see, monsters are attacking the Dino Rangers. Why not let them be? They're doing you a favor," A woman, gothic, clad in all black with the same color painted on her lips, folded her arms and stepped closer to his side.
Humming in thought, a sharp claw made the screen switch to a different area and saw a brunette in a black short dress dazzled with violet, that glistened under the sun's rays. Not but a few inches behind her was a blue-headed robot accompanying her, the sight caught his interest and leaned in to get a closer look.
"She is with them. The robot behind her is the same as the ones that are fighting," Stating the obvious, he moved his claws behind his back and watched her frantically rub her face. With a quick turn on his feet, long strides made him leave the room and ignore the gothic woman's confused stare.
Of course, asking where he was going would've been stupid, for she knew, and moved her brown eyes to the screen.
~~~~
"AAAH! I wished Gruumm would just stop!" Frustrated, strapped sandals brushed against the grass as she strolled through the woods and rubbed her face. Both palms squished her cheeks the second she rolled her eyes, clearly, she was annoyed and sighed. However, she was glad she changed clothes considering it was a little hot outside.
Soon, the memory of his mouth almost kissing her returned like a speeding truck. The texture could still be felt on her lips and carefully, her fingers caressed them. "He... He likes me, I think. N- No, no, no, as I said-- maybe he's just confused? Did I lead him into it without knowing? The way he stares at me, how he approaches me... I don't know!" This time her hands covered her red face and groaned into them.
The faint rustle from the blue-head behind her went ignored, but not the sound of a teleporter that quite literally scared her and made her jolt back. The blue-head behind her ran in front and took a defensive stance, most likely to protect her upon Gruumm's orders. Around the robot her violet hues peeked, just to see a strange male clad in black and a dinosaur head several feet away.
"Who... Are you? Why... Do I see robots fighting the Dino Rangers?" Slow steps, like a predator, brought the male closer inch by inch and his voice was creepy; low, raspy, monotonous.
Stay calm, Feige! Stay calm! If I look into his eyes, I might accidentally hear his thoughts or he could hear mine! Wait-- I can avoid the pull like I've been practicing lately, so maybe... Nervously, from the ground up to his distant face, she blinked and gulped. "T- That... Will take a long time to explain," Hesitant words fell from her lips, albeit shaky from holding back her anxiety, for the idea of losing control and accidentally killing him and possibly ruining the timeline clouded her mind.
The silence between the two went on for a good minute before the male stepped a little closer and kept his arms against his back. She saw it, a predatory gaze as sharp as knives bore into her uneasy violet ones. Oh lord, he's like a predator! The extended quiet of the forest didn't help with the anticipation, it made her grip the bicep of the blue-head and move her foot back.
"I have a lot of time to spare. The Rangers are busy," Straight and to the point, his feet paused after he noticed her unease and watched her like a hawk on a hunt.
N- Not... Much of a talker, is he? Her anxiousness would be visible to anyone who see her, nonetheless, she opened her mouth to speak. Her anxiety made it difficult to avoid the pull, for her focus on it wavered slightly and in just a moment, her thoughts reached him. "I- I... C- Can't tell you. I'm sorry. Emperor Gruumm said we were heading to this timeline... S- So anything c- could alter it. I don't want to do any harm to it or anyone while I'm h- here," Her eyes followed his movement as he walked around them dangerously slowly and never removed his eyes from hers. I can't tell him! I can't! If I tell him why we're here then it'd probably make him want to attack Grimly! He'd kill him for sure if he did! I don't want a- anyone to die! For the love of all things-- I just wanted some fresh air! Her mind was rampant with panic and completely forgot to ignore the pull from how distracted she was with her thoughts.
"Fresh... Air? If you do not explain to me in detail-- I will take you back with me and make sure... You do," Suddenly when he stopped and lifted a clawed hand, several prehistoric drones landed behind him.
"Not if I can help it!" The blue-head took a position and prepared to pounce, which it did. With a mighty leap after the male, it was about to swipe until telekinetic power yanked it backward and held it high above her head.
"I- I'm so sorry! This r- robot was ordered to accompany me to keep me safe. As I said-- I can't tell you. E- Even if you kidnap me... He will find you and destroy you! Please... Don't do this. I d- don't want you or anyone here, killed... Regardless of how evil or good," A shaky hand kept the robot in place as its thrashes were ignored by the brunette. "I just needed some fresh air u- until he's done... Sorry, if I'm intruding t- territory or anything," The nervous shift of her feet and averting her eyes to the forest ground, gave the dino man enough of an answer that she wasn't a fighter. Did I seriously slip up?! He heard my thoughts! My mind connected with his! Being a Cerebral sucks sometimes! Panic filled her mind and awkwardly she adjusted her attire to give herself something to do.
The low growl indicated that he was annoyed, but the tilt of his head which she didn't get to see, showed curiosity and subtle steps in her upper peripherals made her look at him. There she saw his hand point to her and countless drones took charge. But he gasped a little when she took to the sky and shoved them all away with her power.
"Just stop!" This time, all of the drones lifted into the air as if gravity was lost where they stood, her hand reached toward them all to keep them steady and bore her violets into predatory ones. "W- We won't be here too long, I promise," Again, an attempt to reason with him was made.
However, a single drone up in a tree that she wasn't aware of, lunged at her from behind and tackled her to the ground. "Eee!" A frightened squeal escaped her when it caught her off guard and harshly landed, grunts were easily muffled by the grass.
The blue-head followed and landed next to her a few feet away, but what she didn't count on was to be teleported away by a green portal along with the others and left the robot alone.
~~~~
"This is better than I could've hoped for! Victory-- is ours!" After a side glance at Mora, he returned his attention to the battle on his screen and shook with delight.
After a moment, his soldiers surrounded the Rangers and they all spouted the fact that no one can get inside their circle, which he nearly scoffed at. Again the battle commenced, from all around they took on each other until it all became too overwhelming and they separated. "So much-- for not letting anyone, get inside their circle.~" Joy at seeing them fight and watching his warriors push further, put him on the edge of his seat.
After what took more time he saw both Red Rangers stand side by side victoriously after they defeated his last remaining warrior and yelled. "No! I'll go down there and finish them off myself!" Roared the Emperor, for he was about to turn and leave when Mora stopped him.
"Not such a good idea, your horned-ship. Looks like the Wormhole's closing. If we don't go back, we're never... Going back," The look of disappointment on the child's face went ignored when he turned his head back to the screen.
"No matter! I'll defeat Earth now!" Huffing with annoyance, shrugging off the idea of going back, his comeback made the kid want to roll her eyes.
"Fine. But then you're also going to have to re-conquer all the other galaxies' planets you've already defeated. Because since it's 2004, none of that happened yet!~ So-- if I were you," Before she could so much as continue, he reached out his hand to try and shut her up but stopped.
"Ah! Very well! But we'll need to find Feige!" From his computer, he was about to locate her when the blue-headed robot he ordered to escort her had returned and bowed.
"Master! Someone of unknown origin has kidnapped Feige. They surrounded us and she pushed them all away, kept me from fighting, and made us fly into the air. But one of those things lunged from behind and took her by surprise! They teleported elsewhere!" As usual, with no sense of danger, the robot explained.
"What?!" Gruumm didn't waste another second. Not even to furiously crush the robot for not doing its job. As fast as his hands could move, he navigated the computer to find her location and watched her blinking dot quite a long distance away from where the battle took place.
