Chapter 3 - Your Target

After, 10 minutes of 2 kids throwing up everywhere.

A hologram appeared with a older woman with blonde hair.

Her speech was really... uneventful, she went on about how we were the future and we should work hard and blah blah blah.

Everyone seemed so engrossed in the speech that the forgot about the two poor souls that are travel sick.

~~~~~~
The bullhead finally landed and everyone got off. Except me, I stayed behind to avoid the rush of students.
All the first year students seemed eager to get the year started and were pushing and shoving.
I just lay back and let this all happen, whilst looking out of the huge window at the huge school I'd be calling home.
As I started in slight awe at Beacon I noticed a man stood in the window on of the tallest towers. He seemed to be staring right at me, and I returned his glare.
He then nodded and turned around, never once looking back at me. That was so odd.
I pulled my bag over my shoulder and left the bullhead as the last man.
I adjusted my belt that held my sword and started walking towards the school, mainly to find that man.
I couldn't shake the feeling he was important.
I couldn't really make out his features from this far away but I was sure I'd recognise him once I met him.
*BOOM*
A loud explosion went off nearby and panicking I ran straight towards it and what I found, didn't really suprise me.
Ruby Rose, in a pile of ash, with a girl that looked a lot like my sister.
The white haired girl, who was obviously a Schnee was arguing with Ruby calling her a dolt, too immature for Beacon etc.
Until Ruby snapped back, "Hey, I said I was sorry Princess."
"It's heiress actually." A dark haired girl entered the conversation, she was holding a book in her left and had a veil of dust in the right.
I immediately knew, "Blake." I muttered under my breath. I was stood too far out of the way for her to hear but I was still close enough to listen in.
Blake was obviously a Faunas, the way she ranted for their rights was blatant enough, then their was the moving bow on top of her head.
How the fuck has neither of them noticed, must be blind rage or something.
Before Schnee stormed off, I decided to step in to calm them all down.
"Ladies, please." I walked towards them, waving my hand at them. "No need to argue."
"Who are you!" The Schnee questioned trying to sound menacing, but failing as I was a lot taller than she was.
"Y/N L/N, at your service." I bowed politely and Ruby just stared at me in awe for some reason.
"I'm Weiss Schnee, finally someone who is polite." She sighed as her servants had finished picking up her belongings that had been scattered around.
Weiss seemed to have calmed down as she walked away, when she looked over her shoulder she waved at me before continuing toward the building.
Blake had disappeared halfway through my introduction, she had left something in my pocket though as she left, only I had noticed though.
I walked over to Ruby who was still sat on the floor.
"Here." I offered her a hand, but she turned away again, her face slightly blushing.
"I know your sister doesn't like me, but you don't have to follow her lead." I muttered quietly but she heard me and looked at me.
"Huh?" She seemed confused at my statement.
"Come on, we have a ceremony to get too." I changed the subject quickly walking off with her chasing behind me.
Eventually she caught up and walked next to me, awkward silence ensued for several painful moments until I broke the uncomfortable air.
"How did you get here Ruby? We both know you're too young." I pretended to be oblivious and asked her directly.
"Well... I sorta stopped Roman Torchwich from robbing a Dust Store and then Miss Goodwitch turned up and went *pew pew* but he got away. Then I got taken to see Ozpin and he offered me a place." She said, all in one breath, including the sound effects which was impressive.
"Slow down, you fought Roman! He's a wanted criminal." I acted shocked again at the news.
Ruby grew a proud smile on her face as she stood up straight, her earlier anxiousness had faded. Which made me very glad.
"Yep, and he was tough! If Miss Goodwitch hadn't turned up I don't know what I'd of done!"
I had only met Roman once before, he was a dick so I didn't mind if he got his ass handed to him by Ruby.
"There was another person there too... she was much more powerful than Roman."
I coked my head towards her to tell her to continue.
"I didn't get to see their face but they could control fire, and they held off Miss Goodwitch easily."
"Hmm, seems like we'll have to fight this mystery person again." I said, tilting my head to look at the sky.
I turned a corner and kept walking for a little while, completely lost in thought, when I turned back it seemed that Ruby had completely disappeared.
2 girls in one day that'd disappeared on me.
I then remembered the note that Blake had left in my pocket and quickly pulled it out.
It was a page from a book, I couldn't tell what it was from, but after scanning through its content it didn't seem like there was anything important written on it.
So why was it hidden in my pocket...
I lightly shook my head and entered the school building and heading to the auditorium for the opening ceremony.
~~~~~~

Sooo, Ruby doesn't hate you?
And Blake is leaving you weird notes?
Completely normal for a 16 year old going to Beacon.

Oblivion, fading out.
