Mornings are the bane of my existence.

"Y/N." My whine, getting annoyed at my laziness. "We're going to be lateeee."

I simply rolled over and tried my best to ignore her complaints.

"Y/N!" Maya jumped on top of me and started jumping, shaking me around. "Get up! Leon and Cali have already eaten breakfast!"

"Then why are you still here?" I muttered lazily, rubbing my eyes whilst sitting up.

Still sitting on my legs, she hit the top of my head. "To get you up, I've been trying for an hour!"

"Heh, sorry I just hate mornings." I stretch my shoulder as Maya finally gets off of me.

"Seriously, just get changed, I'll be outside..." She walked outside the room and I contemplated going back to sleep. "If you go back to sleep I will stab you."

Yeah, I got dressed fast I didn't put on the school uniform though, I put my suit on, it was good enough. I knew I didn't have time for a shower as I was already almost late. As I checked my reflection in the mirror I stared into my golden eyes once again, seeing them flicker between black and gold for a split second.

I smirked and walked out of the bathroom.

I opened the door to the hallway and saw Maya talking to her brother and who I assumed was Ren?

"Morning." I said, waving at the two of them, Jaune raised his head and smiled at me.

"Good Morning Y/N, sleep well?" He said, obviously in a good mood.

"Yes thanks. Shouldn't we be getting to lesson?" I asked rolling my neck as it felt tight.

"That's what I've been trying to say." Ren muttered before we followed him down the hallway.

I walked behind everyone and Maya soon dropped back to talk to me, the main thing I noticed about her.

Despite the fact she looked cute in her school uniform, is that she was hiding her ears and tail. I understand completely why, but it annoyed me.

"Y/N, you said you'd explain." She said, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Oh yeah..." Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

What was I going to tell her, I can't tell her the truth at least not yet.

But what lie could I make up, she saw my mask as well.

I took the mask out of my pocket and handed it to her. "What do you think that is?" I asked.

"It's a mask that is worn by the White Fang." She said, shocked as she stared at the thing in her hands. "I've only seen one once in person..."

I took the mask back before Jaune or Ren could notice and slid it into my pocket. I didn't say anything else, mainly because I had no idea what to say.

What did I just do? She could easily go and tell everyone and I'd be screwed.

However, she just stopped and stared at me for a moment, eyes glued to mine.

"Jaune, Ren go on ahead." She said, not looking away from me. "I need to talk to Y/N."

She grabbed my hand dragging me back towards our room without listening to Jaune's reply.

She sat down on her bed and put her hands to her eyes. She seemed so much more mature in these few seconds than I had ever seen her.

As soon as she saw that mask her demeanor changed drastically. Something must have happened to her in her past with White Fang, or maybe she just despited them.

"Y/N." She finally said, raising her head from her hands. "Please tell me this is a joke."

I simply shook my head, leaning my back against the wall.

"You're part of the White Fang..." She muttered, her ears were now showing. She seemed to distressed to notice. "So you're secretly a Faunas too?"

"No, I'm completely Human." I said. "Well, technically part God." I contemplated. "Not important."

"So... why?" She said simply, confused.

I walked up to her and sat besides her. "Because... actually I'm not sure what made me do it." I laughed. "But I'm one of the leaders and potentially the future leader. I want everyone to be equal. Faunas or human or other."

She stared into my eyes, as if checking that it was still me talking and not Loki. Seeing that it was still me she sighed and rested her head on my shoulder. "I'll trust you."

"I know, that you... wait what?" I said suprised by how easily she had relaxed.

"You trusted me despite me hiding who I was. So I'm going to trust you."

Honestly, I was ecstatic, but at the same time, I was worried.

Because at the end of the day, I would end up having to betray her, and all of Beacon.

"Y/N, let's-" She was cut off by the bell ringing to Signal the start of class.

"Skip class?" I asked as we started laughing together.

This feeling felt familiar, something burning in the pit of my stomache. My eyes rolled back into my head and I fell to the floor.

My final image was someone stood over me, glaring at Maya...
